By far my favorite Chinese place. Mr. and Mrs. Wong are awesome and I love watching them work together putting orders out. They’re super friendly and the food is awesome. It’s been exactly the same for decades and I hope it never changes. Like other posters have said, bring cash because they don’t take cards.

First there are not many restaurants options in Helena, but if you are looking for a good dinner(to go only) go to this place. I eat there every week and I can recommend my two favorite dishes:1) egg drop soup and special fried rice. I tried another dish another time but was not impressed. I come from Seattle so my fried rice and soups are high! If you like spicy order a little thing of hot sauce(tell them that you want from the back fridge) it looks like srichacha but is not. Add the sauce to the rice and to the soup. Enjoy. I’m so confident that if you follow my instructions and you don’t like it. I will buy you a beer next time I’m in town! :-) HEADUP bring cash!!!

This place is cash only– no cards or out of town checks.(They did let me use a check from Big Sky as I ordered not knowing the rules). The orange chicken was alright– a ton of sauce with whole orange slices and not a ton of chicken. Holy celery. The other entrée was a ton of celery. Overall the flavor was alright, but pretty expensive for the portions. The wantons were different than I’ve seen before– wrapped flat; but they were dynamite. I would go back just for the wantons. I was not super impressed by the entrees though.

I’ve been here twice and I don’t recommend it to anyone. Both times I’ve ordered various chicken entrees so I could sample them, such as the pineapple chicken, orange chicken, and black pepper chicken, and every single time the entrée is about 75% vegetables with only a very small amount of chicken inside huge clumps of greasy batter. Given their exorbitant prices, that is inexcusable. If I wanted fried green peppers, celery, or carrot slices, that’s what I’d order. Silly me, expecting a chicken entrée to be mostly chicken.

Went to get food here on two different occasions, and they were closed both times during their business hours. Once around Fourth of July(which I didn’t mind that they were on vacation) but I went back a few days ago at 12:30 and they were closed. They say they open at 12. Disappointed. I’m not putting in effort to try and make it there again.

Really terrible. I ordered the spicy shrimp, which turned out to be small flavorless shrimp with halved jalapeño peppers — seeds and all. Plus, even though the dish came in a large size container, the container was only 1⁄3 full. It was a horrible rip-off for $ 12.50. The eggrolls are bizarre, flat, and greasy. I was SO disappointed in this place and will never go back.

The entrees are fresh and the flavors explode– good meats and fresh, flavorful vegetables. The egg rolls/spring rolls are a bit unique, more like a deep-fried pocket than a roll, kind of loose, and very greasy– I’m personally not a fan of these but give them a shot(the filling is fresh and flavorful, just like the entrees).

Really good Chinese. Best in town for sure. Food was freshly prepared and hot– chicken in sauce was still crispy when we got it home. Everything we tried was amazing. Will definitely be back.

Best Chinese in town, and anywhere I’ve ever been. This beats out Chinatown in Portland, San Francisco, and Washington D.C. I’ve been coming here since I was 5, and it has been my favorite since then. Now I live super close to it and I am an absolute junky! I’m not kidding, I wanna mainline it. It’s takeout only and it generally takes 15 – 20 minutes for the food to be ready. They make things the old fashioned way, and it is truly a family business. My recommendations are: THEEGGROLLSHOLYCRAPTHEYARETHEBESTIWANTTOSLEEPINABEDOFTHEM, pork fried rice, the bbq pork, the sweet and sour spareribs, and pork lo mein.(Did you know that I like pork? It would be a mystery, if I hadn’t just told you now). A lot of other folks like the almond chicken and the noodle soups, in addition to the things I listed. Check it out, get yourself some takeout and you BETTER enjoy it. If you don’t, drop it by my house and I’ll gladly finish it for you :).

Probably the best Chinese food in Montana. Forget the green garden restaurant in town — Wong’s put the competition in it’s rightful place. Fresh ingredients, not oily/greasy, large portions(1 entrée is really enough for two meals), friendly/local owners that truly appreciate the business. I ate here for the first time last night and am mad that I did not try this place out sooner. After having a bad experience at the garden, I just gave up on Chinese cuisine here. My mistake. I did not find Wong’s overly Americanized, which is a huge plus. I am from SoCal, and Wong’s stands up to what I can get back home.

I absolutely LOVE this place! I live in Portland now and as many Chinese restaurants as there are here, none compare to Wong’s! I love their pork fried rice and meat eggrolls and am never satisfied with the food here(which actually is crummy for me)

This place is great! You don’t get the same boring line up like a buffet. You may have to wait for a little bit but it is well worth the wait! The food is always hot and fresh and delicious! Love it!

This is take-out only Chinese — you can call ahead or just show up and wait. Pretty much every thing is made fresh to order. They have a wide selection, and very reasonable prices for ample portions. Most of their meals will easily feed two, and they offer some half orders.

Excellent Chinese food made with fresh ingredients! Don’t let the outside fool you. This place holds its own. They have a large menu(take out only). Pan fried noodles are a must. In terms of main courses, we’ve always had home-runs here. If you have extra time, they have some stools and a bench that you can sit at while watching this extraordinary husband/wife team whip up your meal with awe-inspiring quickness and precision.
