If I could give this place no star I would! The service is so slow and bad! It took 20 minutes to get us menu after seated, appetizer took 30 minutes after order be taken. Finally, it took one and half hours to bring the foods. The worst thing is the foods is sub par! There is no reason to go back there, shame on them!

Great food. Fast delivery. Wanted some Chinese food while visiting Hemet. Found this restaurant and they offered delivery. The employee taking the order was friendly and efficient. Did not take long field food to be delivered. It was very good, actually the best I have eaten in quite a while. Will definitely order from them again!

The Kung Pao Chicken, Chicken Chow Mein, rice was very good. The sauces was not overloaded with salt/sodium. These dishes were exquisitely done perfect! I’m looking forward to my soon, next visit!!! Thumbs up !!!

This is a great Chinese place. I’m working in the neighborhood so I love their lunch specials. For less than $ 8 you can get a quality meal including rice, soup and egg roll that tastes better and healthier than Panda Express. They have great service so you get in, fed and out as quick as you came. Great quality keeps me happy and the price keeps me coming back!

I’ve come here twice, hoping the first time was just a bad day for the restaurant. This place really should of gotten a 4 to 5 stars. Really clean establishment, bathrooms clean friendly service. i got take out and since they didn’t use the conventional Chinese containers both times it leaked out all over my car. The noodles they use for the lomein and pan fried are they same. I’ve eaten in thousands of Chinese restaurants and the pan fried noodles are usually the smaller version. But that’s to ones liking I guess. But when I got the pan fried they were not cooked at all and the section of noodles that was were over cooked. Two of they dishes were lacking meat in general. i know meat is a cost item and where profit is, but most all patrons would agree… put some meat in the dish and charge for it. I’d rather pay more and get more than pay more and get less.

I heard its one of the best sit in and even take out Chinese in Hemet. I think for Hemet that’s very true. The food was excellent and portions were great. Pricing is decent. Only complaint is REALLY slow service because it’s family owned and it’s a wife and husband deal.

ONE star, not because of the food; usually the food is quite good for Hemet. BUT — here we are on Mother’s Day. We walked into a pretty full house, however, the person who seated us failed to let us know they were short one person & the wait for dinner, once seated would be LONG. VERYVERYLONG. Like 1 ½ hour long. Really. We weren’t the only ones who waited over an hour & a half. The food, as noted above, is usually pretty good, bit lomd of bland, but fresh(from what we can gather). I will not be going back any time soon. I’ve read some of the other reviews here & voila — slow service. Shame shame shame. I was vocal in my complaint, as well putting on a note on the back of the bill. I was pissed off. Not a good way to do business. I don’t think they really cared — at least that’s the gist of what I felt.

I’ve been going to the Golden Moon for years and have never been disappointed. It’s beautiful inside, probably one of the best looking restaurants in town; lots of booths and a separate section for large groups. The food is prepared to order and, while that may take a little longer, it’s well worth the wait. Everything is fresh and piping hot. The Golden Moon is one of the few Chinese restaurants that serves lunch-type dinner combos at a price you’d pay for just an entrée in other restaurants. You get soup, an eggroll and a fried shrimp with your meal. The servers are pleasant and friendly and always anticipate your needs. I take out-of-town visitors there whenever I can. Give it a try.

The food is good and the prices are fair, however the owner is very rude and she would rather talk on her cell phone than take care of her customers, also there is no drink refills which I find strange for a sit down restaurant. I WONTBEBACK, GOTOKIM’S PAGODA.

Very Good Food, service a little slow but I think it’s because the chef is cooking each order when you order it. Food was Delicious!!! Hot and tasty. Had pork, beef and chicken and all tasted like it was supposed to, we ordered Hot and Sour soup sooo tasty. fried rice was just ok but the main dish portions were huge and delicious, each dish tasted unique, not like pre cooked same taste food. We really enjoyed our dinner

Food very very bland. My fault for ordering a lunch special, but I didnt have a lot of time and I figured the chicken lo mein lunch special would be quick. Lo mein lunch comes with a scoop of broken rice fried in soy sauce, and a small egg roll. The rice had no flavor. The egg roll looked&tasted like those little frozen ones from the store. And the lomein was very heavy on the noodles and not much else. After I ate all the chicken, the 3 pea pods, and a few noodles, I was left with a giant pile of noodles on the plate. I want to go back and give them a 2nd try, but I’m gonna stay away from the lunch specials and be more careful about what I order next time.

Had a craving for Singapore Rice Noodle so I had to go to the only place I know that makes it in the valley. Golden Moon makes this dish really well. Wish it was a little more curried than it is, but otherwise, it is the bomb diggity! My son ordered the Orange Beef. It was OK, but he still prefers the Orange Chicken from Golden Ginger. We also ordered War Won Ton soup. This too was OK, but again, Golden Ginger has a better version. Along with the soup we ordered Pork Dumplings, you guessed it, OK… but… Had the Tempura as well. STAYAWAY from that. It came to the table and looked like something a child mixed together and dumped in hot oil. The wait for food is extreme. I hear only one wok being used in the kitchen, so that is more than likely the reason for the wait. If Golden Ginger made Singapore Rice Noodle, there would be no reason for me to stop in at Golden Moon. With that said, A for effort, B– for food and B for service.

EXCELLENT Food, minus the service. The owner was super nice, but she seemed to be a tad overwhelmed. Oh yes Liz P, I agree very clean, clean, clean! YES, please get some Chinese music happening! In addition I loved the décor! This was a great find in Hemet and highly recommend it if you are craving Chinese food! Just do not come here if you are in a hurry!

I’m having a tough time deciding between a 4 or a 5 on this one. I really love that this stands out for the type of restaurant it is and that they do things out of the ordinary. *Restaurant* — Clean! I like clean. And an A grade? Now that says a lot for a Chinese joint. There is NO music here, so the place is really quiet and you can hear others’ conversations. *Service* — Fabulous. Attentive & smiles all around. They ask if you want hot tea. I said yes this time but I think I’ll pass the next time around. Tea doesn’t settle well with my tastebuds. *Food *- A-Ok. They bring by a small appetizer plate before your meal of thinly-sliced cucumbers and radishes that have marinated in a sweet sauce. Never had anything like it before, but I enjoyed it. Also, they brought out a tiny bowl of cocktail peanuts. Perfect for my stomach since it didn’t want to wait for the food to be prepared. I had the dinner special which comes with a soup, a main dish, egg roll, some shrimp side, and rice. I decided on chicken lo mein as my main dish(the thick noodles which I love). In addition to the special, I got the General Tao Chicken dish since I had read the great reviews on it. The portions are big! I could have shared this with someone. I was eating alone, so I just took the rest to go home. Soup was alright, a little hot so my tongue burned slightly — could use a little more flavor. The lo mein was prepared with snow peas, chicken, mushrooms and bean sprouts. I wasn’t a big fan of the mushrooms — they almost tasted like they were cooked in liquor oddly. Overall, the lo mein with rice was good though. Then the General Tao Chicken came out — also enough for two people. A very thick, mildly spicy but sweet sauce. I enjoyed it. What I love most is that when you bite into the chicken, it is WHITE meat. None of that brown who-knows-if-this-is-really-chicken that you’d find at your local Panda Express. I’ll have this again for sure. The egg rolls? Crispy! I loved these! This is the kind of egg roll that you’d find in those great hole-in-the-wall spots. I got two instead of 1 with my meal because I told them not to bring out the shrimp(I’m not a big shrimp fan). *Price* — All of the above for $ 21. Not bad at all. Some people complained about the«No refills» rule. The good thing is their drinks are pretty cheap, so two of them would cost the same as a drink at other restaurants. I don’t get soda at any restaurants because I don’t agree with paying that much for soda. I’m sure I’ll tell people about this place. And I’ll be back. Hopefully they’ll have some music playing the next time I go in though!
