Went here the other day and it was nothing like we expected. Small and quiet with a chill vibe and good prices. It’s well maintained and quiet, which is great considering we expected it to be packed since there’s a college campus nearby. The manager was so helpful and polite — very «hands on,» as he served other patrons alongside his staff. The hookah menu options are good and reasonably priced ($ 17-​$ 25 depending) and includes other options, such as fruit bowls, ice hoses, and other bases (liquids). Just as good as those on Steinway in Astoria without being as out of the way for those on Long Island.

Really affordable, and a great finger food menu. Very calm atmosphere and solid chill out music. Wasn’t crowded when I went but it looks like a spot that could get packed pretty quickly on a Fri — Sun night. Servers are kind and know what they are doing when setting up the hookah. Definitely coming back !

This is honestly one of the best lounges in Long Island by the Hofstra University area. I have been going to this place for many years now and have never been upset by their service. The owners who run this place are very kindhearted and hospitable. As for the flavors, they’re simply great. If there’s anything ever wrong with your hookah, they’ll simply replace it or attempt to fix it. Give this place a try! I’m sure you’ll enjoy it.

this place used to be good, now all they do is tell us how they don’t have enough people working in the lounge so they can not change the coals on time. Their next door food spot is becoming a big fail for them also, pizzas are rock hard, sandwiches are coming out cold and in return all you hear is oh we dont have enough people working tonight!!! not even an apology? Like its my problem? i am paying you the full amount for your hookah and food. Their music is something that will make you go deaf. I highly recommend them to close down the place and invest in something that they can run cheaply and irresponsibly.

I absolutely love this place. Every time I come here I have a very good experience. The staff is phenomenal and very helpful. They go out of their way to make sure you are having a great experience. The manager is very friendly and down to earth. I highly recommend it. The best hookah lounge on the Island, hands down. Keep up the great work guys!

I never EVER write reviews and Scorpion is receiving my first one!
My experience there was dope.
The staff members are very kind and always checking up on you. The Hookah’s are at a reasonable price and they’re also connected to the Halal place next door so the food prices are great also. The music was perfect. And if you happen to be a service member on leave or even if you’re a Reservist or National Guard – I highly suggest you go. They treat their servicemen with the upmost respect as well as civilians on their own account. Definitely coming back!

Great location. Perfectly located in the HOFSTRA UNIVERSITY area. So the college students truly uterlized this place. From the time of opening there doors too closing. Place is packed. Capable of having loud music so if that’s not your thing while enjoying your Hookah then this location not for you. I like to go between the hours of 5pm –11:30., because you get too see the new customers coming in. Atmosphere very pleasant and surprisingly quite., but they need major improvement on their services. It shouldn’t take over 15 minutes to get someone to take your order., let alone 1.5 hours later too receiving your food/​beverages.

Great helpful and kind service! Great Halal restaurant next door linked to Scorpion and will serve you at your table. Loud music which is not my favorite addition to a hookah bar but is pretty common for the area.
The environment is pretty average for a hookah lounge but the halal next door and fabulous service is what tops this place off for me.

Terrible service. Took 15 mins for the guy just to take our order. After another 20 mins of waiting we just walked out. The place was not crowded the service was just awful.

This is a total college hookah lounge. If your looking just to spot hookah and the environment doesn’t matter then come here it felt like it was a fast food restaurant during the day because the seating is not comfy its way too laid paid for a night out on a Friday or Saturday. If you really want something sexy especially if your 21+ go to astoria where you have a pick of many sexy hookah lounges. The service was great but just didn’t live up to expectation. Then again it is right next to a college and surrounded by college bars so what do you expect?

I’ve been to many hookah spots and this spot is kinda wack compared to the others. They don’t have liquor (maybe cuz the fact that it’s near a college campus) and we can’t even have our own tongs to fix the coal when needed. We had to wait when one of the workers were available… also. There was two guys on staff and it got packed since it was a Thursday night so that was also inconvenient… Another thing was… Usually you get a nice «high» from a couple drags from a hookah… Not once I got that little feeling… It was just a waste of my time. I’ll just stick to my Queens spots who does it best. Goodluck.

If you’re looking for the perfect place to spend a thursday or friday night, visit Scorpion! Scorpion is conveniently located near Hofstra’s campus and is the most welcoming place in the area. The atmosphere is very relaxed and the DJ is always playing great music. Every booth is private and the hookah is top notch. I visit Scorpion regularly to watch sports games and to relax in their club like lounge.
The service here is the best in New York and I’ve never tasted such clean and consistent hookah anywhere else in my life. You don’t have to ask twice for fresh coal, every flavor tastes great and the ice hoses last very long. The best part about Scorpion is it’s the most affordable hookah lounge I’ve been to and It’s slowly taking over Long Island.

I had so much fun here. The staff is super nice and very friendly. The prices are great and the drinks were good. I didn’t partake in the hookah but it seemed to be a hit with my friends.
If your looking for a place with a nice atmosphere and a laid back vibe with friend people and good drinks I would recommend coming here. The music was also good.

This hookah bar is amazing. The service is amazing and friendly, their hookah is great and the atmosphere is chill. They play great music and play sports on their TV’s. Great hookah lounge to relax and watch a game or just hang out with a group of friends. It is reasonably priced also, check it out!!!

Definitely the best quality hookah in the area. It doesn’t burn out or get harsh quickly, and if it does, they have no problems fixing or replacing it.
Their prices beat all the other competition around, and no per head charges or sharing charges. The staff are all very friendly and make you feel welcome from the moment you step inside. The interior is very clean and the black lights add an extra oomph to the already wonderful ambiance.
