Fantastic fresh food. I’ve been a customer for some time. Recently tried the brisket pizza. I pray it never leaves the menu. It was done up! I love a pizza full of toppings! The salads are always good. I prefer the cobb. Great service and smiling faces!

Outstanding. They live up to their motto: eat fresh; eat local. I had the turkey bacon guacamole with Swiss on Ciabatta and it was delicious. Steve

Superb dining! Relaxed environment, good food and good service. Locally grown ingredients used in the food and always taste fresh! Also sells local products(eggs, honey, art, etc). My favorites are the Cobb salad, ham and cheese sandwich and creamy tomato soup! Good burgers and fries too!

Whoever decided to include pistachios in place of croutons is a genius! A nice atmosphere– especially in Hernando, this is a great option. The flavors are unique — and they took a little time to grow on me, but I’m won. I ordered Grilled Chicken Pressed Sandwich and a Cobb salad(hold the bacon). I’ll try different things next time, but I’m pleased. Grape Vine: burger nights are the best!

Neat little place, and the pimento cheese sandwich is on point. Pizzas are very good, and I love their Greek salads. They also have a decent little craft beer selection.

I’ve only been here once, but I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the pizza. It’s definitely up there with my other 2 favorites in north MS(Three Guys and TriBecca Allie). I’d like to go back to try some of the other menu items, because I’m not aware of any other Desoto county restaurants with fresh, local ingredients.

Decent food. Nothing to write home about. Have tried it a couple times and have not found anything I would have to come back for. The food does seem to be pretty fresh and I would stop in again if somebody else wanted to. The chicken salad was ok. Didn’t care for the Reuben. Your can do worse in Hernando. Not sure where all the five star ratings are coming from though.

Love Buon Cibo! It’s the freshest restaurant ever and almost everything on the menu is organic and natural. The service has always been GREAT to me! Try their pizza and sandwiches! You won’t wanna go to Subway ever again. –The best thing is that it’s local and all ingredients are local!

Had BLT sandwich and chips, and it was good. Nothing spectacular but will do. Wife had pizza and the small was pretty good size. They have interesting combinations of pizza toppings that should cover most visitors.

Drove down to check this place out after hearing so many good reviews. In short, not impressed and will not return. Food I’m sure is local but not good. Bland and flavorless. The person I went with for a Cuban and said it was not good. I got a cheese pizza. First slice ok second one I could not finish. It was lacking flavor. I got the buon cibo salad and although good was not any better than other salads. The blue cheese was good and it was a fresh salad but again not worth the drive and hype. I was still hungry and I got a bowl of tomato soup. The most bland soup I have ever eaten. It had the consistency and flavor of tomato paste. The bathroom was out of paper towels. We will not return.

My daughter loves Buon Cibo. She likes their Ham Sandwich w/Jezebel sauce. Me… I’m only a so-so fan. We went again recently, I figured I’d give them another chance. I had the Smoked Brisket Pizza w blue cheese. The pie came covered in so much cheese but no blue cheese to be seen. I asked for some blue cheese and was given more. When I picked up my slice the cheese and brisket were so heavy it all fell from the slice. I wasn’t offered any kind of plate so it all fell on top of my pizza. My daughter gave me the wax paper under her sandwich. The slices were cut in huge slices. There was a lot of grease drippings… not sure if it was from the cheese or the brisket.(You can see it in the pic). The pic is with the blue cheese I added.

In my eternal quest to find pizza like I had in Italy, these guys are definitely awful close. The crust is truly Italian which most Americans won’t like. Flour. Water and salt. That’s it. Then cooked 2 – 3 minutes in an extremely hot oven — at least 700° then topped with hand crushed tomatoes, fresh basil and not drenched with cheese. The only thing they do differently here is they cut it into slices. We of the true pizza culture use a fork and knife. Local food and vegetables. Great workers. And a huge menu that will satisfy the carnivore and vegetarian alike. I especially liked it when they come out with your food and yell your name to find you. Definite return for me… cool place.

As a local in Hernando I am very thankful and proud to be a regular at Buon Cibo. Though Hernando has continued to grow over the last decade I’ve lived here, it has lacked quality and approachable restaurants. Buon Cibo has come to the rescue and with flying colors. The food is amazing, the staff is FANTASTIC, the pricing is reasonable, and the beer is good! We always enjoy our meal and the experience at Buon Cibo so if you’re yet to try this place, definitely stop in! If you get to stop in on a Tuesday/Thursday be sure to grab a burger, they’re awesome!

Buon Cibo is an easy going, comfortable place for dine-in or carry-out. The food is very good and prepared fresh daily. Each time I enter the restaurant, I am greeted warmly by their energetic staff. Each member of the staff that I have interacted with has been easy to talk to and eager to serve. Give it a try; you won’t be disappointed.

I really can’t get enough of Buon Cibo! It’s fine dining food in a casual atmosphere, and we hit it up every time we head up to visit the in-laws. It’s great because they’re not much for cooking at home, so BC gives us a great opportunity to get them eating healthy, locally sourced food over McD’s or the Chicago-style pizza joint up the street.(Deep dish pizza is delish, but killer on the cholesterol!) Back to the food– I haven’t had anything here I haven’t loved. The beer and cheddar soup? Way better than one might expect. The regular offerings on soup, coconut chicken noodle and tomato, are fantastic go-tos and I’m particularly fond of pairing the tomato up with the grown-up grilled cheese. To die for! Hubby usually goes for the Cuban, as does my father in law who has eaten his fair share in Miami and loves these. My mother in law, a notoriously picky eater(chicken teriyaki is considered exotic for her), likes the cobb salad and the blue cibo which are all solid salads. Don’t think that sandwiches and soups are where it ends– the pizzas always catch my eye and make it even harder to decide what I want! The Clarksdale is tangy and tasty(now I’m craving it…) with the Biloxi a close second, and the hubby scarfed down The Nesbit before I’d had so much as an inkling to grab a taste so now I shall wrestle over the choice between that one and The Cleveland next time! Basically, you can’t go wrong at Buon Cibo. The prices are great and what you get for what you pay is amazing. If you don’t go to Buon Cibo, you’re cheating yourself out of one of the few restaurants in Memphis that I miss when I’m home in Atlanta.

Buon Cibo… the anti-Panera… the locally sourced, yet extremely approachable restaurant recently opened in Hernando. We visited during a Foodie Memphis( ) event, and had the opportunity to try nearly the entire menu. So, let’s break it down… — Menu: basically sandwiches, pizza, and salads… with some tasty other items thrown in, along with daily specials… all very created and uniquely developed(favorites: cuban sandwich) — Food: excellent… they use(from what I understand) 100% locally sourced produce… which clearly takes just ‘sandwiches and pizza’ to a whole different level… a very tasty level… worth it…(i.e. homemade corned beef for the reuben… yes, please) — Décor: it’s housed in a place that actually looks a bit like a panera, since the restaurant apparently was a ‘wannabe McAlisters’… so it has that feel… which, admittedly is not necessarily the right feel for a formal dinner… but it nails it for lunch or an informal dinner — Service: great husband /wife team runs the joint, and they have a good set of people behind the counter and running food Overall… for a sandwich, pizza, and salad shop, it’s got quality, service, and well prepared locally sourced food… you’ve got to try it.
