Play and Learn at Dulles Corner

I have joined my 5 month old daughter after the feedback from my sister whose kids also went here. I could not have been more happy. My daughter loves it here and everyday she is in smiles when I drop her off and pick her up. They have really good team to take care of infants and are very very specific about cleanliness. All the staff is very friendly and I can come and go at any time. I could even nurse her in a private space. I get daily feedback on what she ate, her activities and any new things she has done. Suzan, the director is extremely involved in all the daily activities and is a great adviser with so many years of knowledge with kids and babies. Even though, it is not extremely close to our home or office, it is very conveniently located on the way for easy pick up and drop off.

I have nothing but positive things to say about Play & Learn and the staff working there. Full disclosure, I do not have children enrolled there — my roll is as a secondary teacher. I visit the school several times a month to provide Creative Movement classes, including Yoga & Zumba for the kids ages 2 – 5. The school is always clean, organized and well run. I have been working in schools from Boston to DC for the past 20 years and I have got to say that Play & Learn ranks the highest in terms of teacher involvement (assisting me when I am there teaching), communication (Suzan, the director is on top of everything & makes sure that things run smoothly in all facets of the business), cleanliness, structure, happy children, and keeping the focus on providing the best possible programming for the children. I have been teaching here for the past 5 years and have no plans of ever leaving! If you enroll your child here, they will undoubtedly receive the best care available. I have NEVER seen a preschool with such a low turnover rate among instructors. That means they are being treated well & they love their jobs. These are the people you want taking care of your children. The language & lessons used to encourage the children to play & interact safely is some of the best I have seen in my 20 years inside dozens of schools. We use «gentle hands» when playing with one another and «make choices» — each and every child feels empowered to control their own destiny, based on their own behavioral choices. The educational lessons taught in the classrooms continue to impress me, as the material is rich, yet always presented in a way that encourages creativity & fun. It’s a truly wonderful place to work, grow, play and learn! Highly recommended.

Great experience here. The directors are great people and knowledgable when it comes to children’s growth and development. They are all empathetic, compassionate, and hard working. My son just started kindergarten and that’s the only reason we left. We were so sad to go because of how much our family and son loved it there. I will always be grateful for everything this lovely place had to offer.
