I wrote a very bad review for this wonderful Indian restaurant. It was its first week and I misjudged. I’ve been back several times and the food is tasty, fresh and just plain yum! This is a gem in Hershey. Don’t miss it if you area in the area and enjoy Indian food.

They are terrible. Five of us went there. They have a buffet, but they charged 18% gratuity on top without even asking our opinion. The food is just what you can find in any average Indian restaurant.

I am a fan of Indian food, and I was excited to hear that there was an Indian restaurant opening in Hershey, but it rather disappointed. Those of us at the table who are used to the cuisine found it bland, although those who had not tried Indian food before said it was good. It also seemed more expensive than other Indian restaurants; I will not come back here again. I will say that is hard to find good Indian food in this area.

Oh YUM! This was a great food lunch buffet. Plates cleared and water refilled quickly. Food was labeled so you can try new things. Appreciate the Nepali food on the menu. Very clean, real tablecloths and staff was on the spot turning over tables. I can’t wait to go again!

Had take out from here with my family. There are many options on the menu but essentially all the items are the same with the same red curry sauce. I ordered the medium spice level and this was VERY spicy, even for me and I eat very spicy food every day. Also with my curries they did not give rice. Overall for a weeknight take out Indian place a good choice as its close and the only place in Hershey.

I’ve only ever had take away or delivery from here, but even in those short interactions the staff has been very helpful. Including the time I called 15 minutes before closing and they happily took my order and had it ready in 10 minutes. The naan is great, the onion bhaji could be a little crisper, but still good. I’ve enjoyed all of the paneer dishes and the fish curry tastes pretty legit to me. I haven’t had a chance to try to lunch buffet yet, hopefully soon as I’ve heard good things. Another thing I love about this place is that they actually take advantage of this Internet thing and allow you to order online for delivery or take away. I know this is common in larger places, but as far as I know this is the first non-chain place in Hershey to do so. Bottom line, for central PA, this is good Indian food.

I’d recently started looking for a replacement to Aangan which I used to love and frequent weekly, but hadn’t had local Indian food in several weeks(such a shame, I know). My girlfriend looked this place up and we gave it a go and I’m very glad that we did. The food is fantastic in a consistent way and the service was great as well. I’ve only been here a few times so far, and am a creature of habit at some places, but the Lamb Vindaloo(ordered as spicy) is always fantastic. The«spicy» is spicier than a typical Indian place, which is GREAT for me. Bring on the heat. It isn’t too spicy that it overwhelms your senses and you can’t taste anything as it’s a great blend of heat and taste. Many will probably want to start off with«medium» before leveling up. The paneer pakora as well, crispy outer, fluffy tofu inner. The ambience inside is inviting, too. A warm orange tone with the tables far enough apart where you don’t feel cramped. Thank you for existing! I wish this restaurant was a bit closer to home as it’s always a 20-minute drive, but then again, I would probably gain a lot more weight from eating out every night. Most of the other Indian places I’ve been to either have inconsistent food or service, but so far, this place has really hit the spot.

Been there twice and the food has been good both times. The atmosphere is nice and the staff is very friendly. The only reason I’m giving it 3 starts is because the service was very slow both times I was there and the waiters were not very attentive and had to reminded on several occasions to bring us the items that we had ordered. Other than the service, I definitely recommend this restaurant.

We went to this place as we had good experience in last visits but this time we were disappointed. Chicken tandoori was dry, not well marinated and looked like we got from left over buffet. Goat biryani was average, Resham kabab, Onion pakora, baingan bharta was all average. No changing table for infants in restrooms was a surprise and cause great deal of inconvenience. Food quality need to change a lot.

We were visiting Hershey Chocolate World and decided to try this almost lone Indian place in the area. It was new and trending on Unilocal. The location of the restaurant is a bit odd in a solitary lot but I recommend you look beyond that. The internal ambience is warm and bright. We had samosas and veggie momos for appetisers. Both were pretty awesome. I think the momos deserve a special mention — definitely a must try. For the main course, we ordered paneer pasanda, malai kofta and dal tarka. Although the paneer pasanda looked odd when it was served — it was light yellow when we were expecting orange — all entrees were excellent in taste. We live close to NJ and this kind of taste in the Hershey is exceptional. The naans were soft and buttery as well — the chilli naan was a revelation

Quality Indian food in hershey. They also have Nepalese options. Buffet has a lot of options and they bring you fresh naan bread. The food isn’t very spicy compared to other Indian places. BYOB so bring some champagne or beer.

3.5 stars. I’ve lived in a larger city for quite a few years and have had multiple choices for Indian food. Khana compares well, especially for this area. The prices are a bit high, they match what I paid in a larger city where most things cost 2−3x more, however, the problem is that the portions are MUCH smaller. We had the Paneer Pakora– this was just okay, 3 stars. I wish the pieces of paneer were chunkier rather than long and skinny because at their current size, I could really only taste the cooking oil rather than paneer. Aloo Gobi– 3 stars. I love cauliflower and was sad that there were just a few pieces of cauliflower and many more potatoes. I ordered mild, but this dish came out«medium.» Chicken Chana– 5 stars. This dish was delicious and done well. Only complaint was that we ordered this dish medium and it came out mild. Garlic naan– 5 stars.

Very good. Asked for mild for my do and me but it was still quite flavorful. Courteous service. They serve papad and chutney before and the green chutney is delicious. The tamarind chutney was a little too tangy for my tastes. The Thalis were a huge serving and we would’ve packed leftovers but we’re from out of town. Pity. Would’ve liked to come back.

Bottom line up front: skip the buffet and order off the menu. Having just moved to town from a larger city, I was excited to see an Indian(and Nepalese) place open so close! I looove Indian food. So, after two separate visits at lunch, I was pretty much over it. I thought the food was bland, and that’s one thing Indian food should never be. The buffet does, however, come with fresh naan which is nice. However, after talking with one of the owners and learning that they are from Nepal, we decided to give dinner a try and order off the menu.(I think you can order from the menu at lunch as well.) MUCH different experience. First of all, there were several delicious chutneys which were lacking at lunch. The server did ask us what kind of spice we wanted with all our dishes, and we just asked for«medium». That turned out to be a solid choice. We had the palak paneer, which delicious and flavorful. And we had two Nepalese dishes, the mo-mo(chicken and vegetable dumplings) and the sukuti(dried meat/jerky which was served in a spicy tomato sauce with diced vegetables). They were both really yummy. I’m still not sure what kind of meat it was, but maybe lamb? When we asked our server, he just reiterated, «dried.» Whatever it was, we enjoyed it. We did have to order naan from the menu at dinner, which we didn’t mind. Overall very pleased and we’ll be back. And I didn’t think the prices were unreasonable at all, but I suppose it’s what you get used to.

I had their buffet on a weekend. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of food and options available for vegetarians in the lunch buffet. I had Malai kofta, aloo tikki channa chat, Gobi munchurian, cabbage, dal, basmati rice and rasgulla. It’s the first Indian restaurant in Hershey and I hope this may encourage new business owners to bring diversity in the local restaurant community.

very solid 5 stars. Let me address some of the criticisms that others mentioned. The prices are too high. I go to a lot of Indian restaurants and this place is just a few bucks more for most dishes than the other place so its really no big deal. Plus, this is Hershey, everything cost more in Hershey. Our total bill was $ 40, about 5 more than we normally pay when getting the same thing. next are the portion sizes. They are no less than any other place I have gone too. I am one of those guys that eats everything and can leave a place still a bit hungry. I left this place full and still had some left overs. I got the chicken Tikka, wife got the Tikka Masala. She is picky and she said hers was very good. Mine was excellent. The service was excellent. we were greeted by a very nice gentleman and did not wait forever for our food like we do at Aangan. The servers were very attentive and polite. lots of parking, this is my new go to place. It was Aangan but their service sucks and tired of waiting over an hour for our food every single time and then having no one come back and check on you. The food at Khana is as good if not better than Aangan but with much better service. Its worth the drive to Hershey for us.

It’s about time we add some ethnically diverse food to Hershey! I went a couple days ago with a friend to try it out. The food itself was pretty good. I had chicken curry. The curry was great but the chicken was very plain and unexciting. The prices were high and the portions a bit small, but overall I would come back for a second try.

A welcome addition to the otherwise mundane culinary landscape at Hershey! Food was good, everything tasted fresh. The meats(chicken and fish) were very succulent and nicely marinated. The breads were fresh out of the tandoor, very nicely done. Overall, a great experience. Arguably the best Indian food in this area, the Himalayan grill in Lancaster would be very close though. Would definitely recommend.
