So this place is my all time favorite. I work 5 minutes away and discovered this place ! They have the best coffee and coltadito(milk and coffe) and the people that work there are amazing ! I come here every morning ! Literally ! I first starting eating there for lunch 3 weeks ago and you can order from the menu or they have a variety of good food that’s already ready for you. It’s like 7 a plate(not bad!) Ropa veija is so tasty

This is a difficult review for me to rate on star issuance. So, I decided to be safe and stay right in the middle. Please, allow me to start with the bad: * First Appearance — When you first park here, I would not be surprised if people run for the dickens. It is absolutely disgusting. The outside sitting area had aging papers on the floor, random trash, very dirty and every concrete patio table/chairs were encrusted with some black«Only Jehovah knows what.» Someone PLEASE go out there and clean this? This area has obviously not been cleaned since EVER! Sorry, I did try to capture a picture but, there was always someone sitting there. I don’t know why they were, I would not. I do not take pictures of Humans. Surprisingly, the inside was another story. It was indeed tidy and kept fairly clean, in comparison. Except for the window sills that had dust on them, it was ok. It honestly was not that bad to complain. It is an aging restaurant that should have been remodeled a while back. They were preparing their lunch specials for that day while I was there. The food display cases were clean and the food being displayed appeared to be well made and tasty. I would come back here to try their food. However, I was here for breakfast this morning to meet-up with a friend I have not seen in very long while. * The Food — I ordered their #2 Perico Breakfast. This is what saved you from being issued a measly non-existent star. It was actually very filling and very good. Two scrambled eggs with ham, Cuban Toast, American Grits with cheese and a Café con Leche. There are other combination options for you to choose from, i.e., French Fries, Hash Browns, etc. I never order American Items at an Hispanic Restaurant but, WOE Kimosabe! Those were some very darn good grits I had me there. I was very impressed having it come from an Hispanic Restaurant. That being said, you will assume this is a completely Cuban Restaurant but, it is not. They do, however, serve your popular Cuban Dishes. You will notice this difference with some of their menu items that are South American. * The Menus are an utter mess being held-up by clear tape and not uncommon to find encrusted old food on them. NASTY! Please clean your menus? The stand outs of this breakfast: * The eggs were cooked perfectly. There was no need for a spoon to eat them. * The Cuban Toast was toasted perfectly with enough butter on them to clog your arteries right there. * My friend opted for the Hash Browns. From afar, it looked tasty. They are your regular rectangular hash browns. Similar to those from McDonald’s only larger in size. * The Breakfast being named after the 80s Cuban nickname for Cocaine, CLASSIC! No it is not named after Cocaine. It is a known style of making your scrambled eggs in South America. Colombia and Venezuela specifically. The Country where this style is known for, just made the«perico» reference even funnier. We LOLed and took pictures like two Hillbillies. Random blah, blah, blahs: * If you look at the address this restaurant is on Unilocal three different times with three different names. This review, however, is the correct name. * The waitresses were nice and attentive when you can get their attention. No big deal really, It really was not that bad. * The food does not come to you immediately. I have always found that to be a very good thing. Same as above, it was not ridiculously slow. They were quite busy while I was there. * Nice touch with the full sized plexiglass in your cooking area to avoid outside elements from finding their way. * Cuban Coffee has always been good here. Great place to stop and get your morning fix before heading to work. * There is a sign inside warning patrons not to bring their guns. I guess, don’t bring your guns? I am hoping this is a joke. * English is a second language here. * You may encounter Homeless People outside. This is currently a big problem in Hialeah. They are harmless and not indicative of the restaurant itself.

I don’t know much about this restaurant other than it’s located next to the Burger King where I worked back in my teenage days, across the street from the defunct Casanova’s… I was looking for a croqueta preparada and I didn’t want to drive too far, so I ended up here, unfortunately. Is it a new thing to microwave sandwiches? This place gets no respect or stars from me. There was a time when the smallest hole in the wall in Hialeah would carve the ham and pork for your sandwich, baste the bread with butter and heat in in the press until the swiss cheese melted to perfection. This was crap. Sorry Hialeah Latin American, you don’t represent my idea of an edible sandwich.

My food came quick and it was standard quality latin value grub. Bistec con huevos y media colada. $ 5.95. Steak was lemon-limey. limoney. Server was so sweet. TV shows the news en espanol. You can sit down and be served, or pick up a tray and get your food cafeteria style. Con: A little salty. Place could be more well maintained as a whole. Pro: They do the coffee right. Sweetheart service. Good value.
