Review #600. Two 60 something ladies run this 16 seat franchise location. They’re primarily concerned with getting the food prepped for call in orders. Why do I say that? Because I ate my entire meal before settling up my $ 9.08 bill, and I’m pretty sure that one is supposed to pay beforehand. Before or after, what does it matter among friends, eh? Le Menu: I was craving a ham sandwich. My last ham sandwich craving was in 1998. What better place to find good ham than Honey Baked Ham & Co. It was a good, but not great, ham sandwich on a fresh croissant. Their website said that it would be prepared with mayo and honey mustard. There was no mayo and the honey mustard came in a packet. I did not cry about it. The«fancy» sea salt chips that were shown online turned out to be a bag of Ruffles in reality. Where’s the beef? The best thing that I had was the white chocolate macadamia nut cookie. It came wrapped in plastic. That cookie was delicioso. My Coke came in a can which is fine by me. They provided a straw, which I found amusing. As everyone knows, plastic straws float up and out of a can or bottle making the whole process an exercise in frustration. I applaud their good manners and thoughtfulness though. The place was clean. I would have swept the floor, but hey, that’s just me. I love the other two reviews describing how they take reservations for Christmas ham orders, but they don’t HOLD the hams for the order. As we all know, HOLDING the hams is the most important part of the reservation process. This may be my favorite Jerry Seinfeld skit. I think that I have it memorized. This is a quirky place, the food is good, and the ladies were nice and friendly to me. I just won’t plan on ordering any hams here. Unilocal on brothers and sisters, and have a great week.

There’s no sugar coating(or should I say honey coating?) this review. I ordered a ham on December 32015 for pick-up on December 232015. Imagine my surprise when I arrive to pick up said ham and they’ve already given out all hams that match my order. It’s the classic situation of taking an order/reservation but not HOLDING the order for the appropriate customer(Seinfeld car rental episode, any one?). Upon displaying the email order confirmation and my ‘pick-up’ number to one of the shop workers I was told, «Aww, this happens a lot when we get busy’ and, ”That email really don’t mean anything»(their grammar, not mine). On the bright side, I was able to get two smaller hams and a $ 3.00 coupon. Whatever, HoneyBaked Ham Company; like I’ll be back…

That exact thing that happened to the other reviewer happened to me today. Order a ham weeks in advance, get there and they told me the truck didn’t bring enough ham and now there are no more. It just ain’t right to give away MY ham that we put an order for weeks in advanced to someone who at the last minute just pops into the store?!
