Scam! Scam! Scam! They say they offer delivery, however if you are outside the state of North Carolina, get ready. The delivery company they use will send you your furniture when they get ready all for a $ 130+. We have been waiting on a piece of furniture since the beginning of November. We bought it right off of the floor so we were thinking we could get it within a week or so. We were even told and showed other furniture that was scheduled for delivery in our area. That also prompted us to proceed with purchase. Our furniture has been sitting in the delivery warehouse since the beginning of November! When we finally confronted our sales rep. Sharra Waldrop on this, she said the delivery company, which is Home Delivery Service, will not deliver until they have a full truck because it’s more convenient for them. We also didn’t know that when the delivery is scheduled, we have to be around when they want us to or else we will miss our turn and will have to wait until there is a full truck again. She did not tell us this on the front end. Not to mention, she was extremely rude and even hung up the phone on us. She was an angel when she was trying to get our money. The delivery company does share some of this responsibility particularly for not being flexible however, when we spoke to them, they said Hooker Furniture knows their policy and that Sharra should have informed us of this. When we asked Sharra about it, she became extremely belligerant and she tried to make us feel like we were indebted to her. She even played the blame game with her colleague. Unbelievable. I think she purposefully neglected to give us adequate information because of the possibility of doing business elsewhere. It’s amazing how folks will do anything to get a buck and then screw you on the back end. I will never do business again with this company and would never recommend them to anyone.
