Style Exchange

I used to love this store, used to. The last 2 times I’ve tried selling clothes here, I’ve walked away very frustrated.
Yesterday I took in a larger 31 tote, full. Under Armour shorts, Under Armour workout tees, some dressy tops, a few pair of dress capris that I wore to work, an Anthropology sweater with tags & a specific coral dress I had previously purchased from Style Exchange for $ 10 (I remember b/​c I thought it was an awesome deal!)
Here is what happened… I was offered $ 13.72 in cash for ¾ of my items. At the bottom of «their» pile was said coral dress & I asked specifically how much the store was giving for the dress. She then pulls the dress out & tells me it’s CONFIDENTIAL how much the dress was «appraising» for. CONFIDENTIAL. Considering I’ve asked before & was quoted a price, this really irks me. (Which I then stated & was rudely told they only do that for Coach’s. Not true.)
After looking around for the store manager, I left without selling a thing. This store has gone down hill pretty fast & it’s sad. They cut their buy out prices & don’t offer jack anymore.
The owner seems to be nice when dealing with you personally but treats her employees like dirt, no way to successfully run a place. If you expect respect, give respect.

The store is clean, cute and welcoming. And I was greeted warmly as I came in. I found 5 dresses immediately that I tried on and unbelievably liked them all! Store was 20% off so it was a great deal! Prices were reasonable, even for designer jeans, which they had plenty, even in larger sizes. Cute shoes, very clean. A lot of the items had their original tags as well. I will be shopping there again!

The staff leaves a lot to be desired. They act like they are superior to their customers whether you are buying or selling clothing. I do not appreciate going into a retail store, intending to purchase merchandise and having sales girls turn their noses up to me.
I find a lot of their clothing to be over priced for the quality as well. They let a lot of beat up handbags/​shoes into the store and there is usually not much to pick from.
Overall I’m not impressed, but its still worth a stop in every once in a while on the off chance that you mind find a good buy.

Half if not all of the people that work here are very rude! I will not go back for this reason. The also say they buy clothes… well they may buy one thing you bring in for maybe $ 2 if you’re lucky.
