Everything on the menu is great. Whether it’s their plain pizza, grandma slices, salads, or heroes. Even their burgers and fries will hit the spot. I don’t order from anywhere else.

This is the best pizza on long island, hands down. Every time I am back in New York I make sure that I grab a slice here!

Best pizza around. I won’t order anywhere else when I’m in the mood for pizza. Love the sauce and sesame crust. Their meals are excellent too! I’ve had several of them and they are always delicious ! My favorite is the angel hair Francisco with peas and bacon and a pink cream sauce. I’m addicted to it and get it every time! Go there. You won’t be disappointed !

The pizza is ok. My 9 year old son and I had a regular and grandma slice. The crust was too soft, the sauce was a little too sweet. The cheese was ok.

This is my current FAVORITE place for pizza. We usually get the regular pie, which is thin sliced and has the sesame seeds in the crust. Something about the sesame hits the spot, and makes it just a little different. I had guests recently, and they wanted«Grandma» pizza– Was excellent as well. The shop is tiny, has a few tables it you want to eat there. Service is generally friendly. Just a note if you order delivery, make sure they understand your address! I had a little mix-up the one and only time I ordered delivery, the girl who took the order misunderstood my address. Made for an extended delivery time, with calls back and forth. In the end the pie came hot, so no harm done.

I still cannot remember the name of the original West Village Green pizza joint that used to be in this location pre-1988 or so, when Di Maggio’s apparently opened(at the same exact time I moved out of the area for good) but that place used to be one of the best pizza places over here, second only perhaps to Lenny’s and Domenico’s. I never come over here anymore but I heard Di Maggio’s came recommended, so I figured for a laugh I would check it out. The Village Green hasn’t changed that much since I grew up over here, maybe somewhat, although I am sad to note a palpable air of depression/desolation/boredom over here which I don’t recall the place fairly reeking of in the 1980s and 1970s. That could also be because I went here post-snowstorm and the parking lots were a mess, unplowed ’round back, and dark as all get out. I dunno what that’s all about, but it doesn’t exactly make me want to come back here anytime soon. And yes folks, this was the Village Green that Billy Joel sings of in «Italian Restaurant», at least, the primary one since this is the one closest to his childhood home, and mine as well. There seems to be confusion about this online: well, there IS no confusion, this IS the West Village Green of Billy Joel renown. This is also the Village Green featuring a bar(been through many name changes/owners over the years but still here) that Maureen Tucker, the drummer of The Velvet Underground once hung out at, apparently, when she grew up in Levittown. I myself used to walk here after school and weekends or bike up here every day after school and eat boxloads of candy(Spree, Cadbury Eggs, and Pixie Sticks hells yes!), eat pizza, and play Donkey Kong, Pac Man, Pleiades, etc. games and have a grand old time. The only time it wasn’t fun was when we’d run into a bunch of the jerkier kids in the neighborhood who would rarely show up and be arses and ruin it for us. Most of them I think, went to Holy Trinity High School, so that’s no surprise, bunch of stuck-up and spoiled bloody brats that they were/are. There are at least three other Village Greens in Levittown, including the Center Lane one featuring Center Lane Pizza, which is still there and still good although that place also changed owners or names sometime in the late 1980s, apparently. My memories of the early to mid 1970s include coming to the ass-kicking joint that used to be here, and ordering pies with my family to go and watching all the teenagers and local goofballs and miscreants hanging out here and songs like«Blinded By The Light(Manfred Mann version)», Boston, Led Zeppelin, and etc. being eternally played ad infinitum on the jukebox here. There also used to be a haircutting joint here for years I would get my haircut at, run by some jerk with a stupid bloody handlebar mustache named Glen. What a plank. As for the modern day Green and Di Maggio’s Pizzeria, it lacks much room(the old pizzeria was somewhat larger, but not too much, and boasted video games and a jukebox and other amenities), a restroom, and much ambience, but it does have a small LCDTV up on high. I ordered the benchmark three plain slices and a drink to go, ordered hot from the oven, and though I’m normally not a fan of sesame-seed crust pizza, this was the exception since their pizza was quite good in all respects, I can see why the locals recommend it. I dunno if it could possibly be as good as the pizza I recall at the old joint here from the early 1970s-1988, but it was definitely solid, I had no complaints. As for their other dishes, I cannot comment but might return to try those as well. I wish Di Maggio’s would somehow expand or work on their ambience and restroom amenities(of which it has zero), but then again for a small but reliable nabe Village Green pizza joint it delivers the goods. That’s mainly what the original W. Green pizza place was like, small, a bit cramped, not much seating, a jukebox, kids wearing Doors, Pink Floyd and Led Zep t-shirts covered in pimples and pizza grease, a counter, ovens, fruit punch machines, and pizza. There used to be more worthy things open later nights here like a good deli and milk etc. shop, and some other things, but I notice more of these shops here close early on Sunday or are not open at all, which was not the case years ago. I looked forward to buying a coffee or donuts or whatever after my pizza, but I couldn’t do it cause that place is long gone, and the only other stuff that was open was Carvel and Subway here. So I ate my pizza and left, remembering a more vibrant and less depressing Village Green and Levittown past.

Di Maggio’s has the best pizza around Hicksville. Don’t let the small place fool you. Even the regular food is really good, the shrimp parm is quite tasty! The delivery is quick and the delivery driver is friendly. Can’t complain about anything here! Best place to get a whole pie from. I even eat the crust.

Stopped in for a quick lunch and had a corner grandma and chicken parmigiana slice — both slices were very good, I don’t know how traditional a sesame seed crust is, but it was a great touch and made the slices memorable.
