Molly Maid

I’ve used them for bi-​monthly cleaning and not fully satisfied with them. They are very pricy and do not deliver the amount of detail they should. They consistently missed things every time they came and now after reading other comments I realize I’m not alone: in their first cleaning they didn’t move an area rug in the kitchen so there was still crumbs and dirt right behind it! Same thing with a small trash can I keep in the kitchen, there was dirt behind it! The list goes on, every time I came home I realized they missed this and that.
For the price I was paying I expected perfection. I think they are in such a rush to leave that they don’t check their work. If they did it would be ok. Their cleaning is just so so.

Molly Maid does a great job of cleaning and they are extremely reliable. I highly recommend them.

I used Molly Maid in Glenview for a few years and when we moved to Highland Park naturally we called them to come out. They have cleaned now for about 2 months out of the Highland Park office and the women are great. The initial cleaning was great and they had a manager come out right when we finished to inspect and had me walk the whole house to ensure I was happy. I always the same people come back and they know the ins and outs of what we like to have especially clean. They change the sheets, never miss a garbage, never damage anything and are very responsive if I ask for any additional detail in an area of the house. I would say it is easily worth the little extra money verses most competitors as the quality is worth every penny.

Three ladies came to the house to help clean. I had explained how we had never had the house thoroughly cleaned after our recent purchase & had just had a birthday party, so wanted a good cleaning. The ladies were nice and had asked if there was anything specific that I would like to have addressed. I only had a few requests. My expectations weren’t super high. I was home w/​two small children, so tried to stay out of their way as much as possible. When the job was done, they had called out from downstairs that they were done. By the time I made it downstairs, which wasn’t that long, maybe 30 seconds, they were already closing the door & getting into their vehicle. I had expected or hoped that they would have at least stayed to ask if there was anything else I needed. It wasn’t until later that I noticed that the few specific items that I had asked them to do (such as clean the front of the kitchen cabinets) were not done. There was still coffee stains from the previous owners on quite a few cabinets! My husband and I ended up using a wet cloth and cleaning the stains off ourselves.
Part way through the cleaning, a fourth lady came to evaluate the house and provide me a quote for weekly, bimonthly & monthly cleaning. I thought that this was odd, especially since they had basically just started to clean. There was no follow up call or email to see how the service went. Too expensive for the work completed.
Also, two days after the cleaning, we found ants in our downstairs bathroom. Up until then, we had never had ants inside the house. It may have been a coincidence, but this was one of the reasons why we had requested a maid service after the birthday party.
I would not recommend this service. I’ve used other cleaning services in the city and had better experiences.
