Loved the service I received at Salon de Weave’s Highland Park location! I am rocking my very «natural» looking weave! I arrived after work around 5:15 p.m. and the receptionist was professional, informative and kind. Brittany my stylist was AWESOME! Their manager Takara is the absolute BEST! She’s extremely knowledgeable and also very professional. If you’re looking for a new salon that provides professional, affordable service then give Salon de weave a call!

This was my first and LAST time visiting the salon. Im not one to complain, however the stylist that did my hair SaDaja, is not good at all. The experience was mentally draining and unprofessional. The stylist NEVER asked me how i wanted my hair until AFTER she started. But when i told her eventually what i wanted, she did the complete opposite! I requested a invisible part sew-​in. The style was awful! She cut me a bang (never asked for it because i dont even wear bangs), and the hair was all in my eye, you could see the tracks of my closure in the top, and my invisible part was almost non existent! It looked like i had a wig on. U told her multiple times how i wanted it cut, (a simple frame to face cut) but she couldn’t understand that request. I didn’t have time to get the style fixed or redone because i had an event to go to. When i went back the next day to get it fixed, the girl at the desk AND SaDaja made me feel like i was and inconvenience for coming back and asking for the style to be fixed. I still didn’t get fixed because she continued to act as if i my request was so dramatic and she once again acting confused on why i needed it to b fixed. It was too much and i will NEVER be back to the fake and unprofessional place of business.

I’ve only been to the Highland park location and I must say my first experience was great! Customer service was excellent and even though it’s located in a rough area it was worth it. Prices are very high as they charge for just about any additional service. I would definitely recommend Takara or Shantanice. Although my 2^nd time being here, not so great. I came in on 3÷12÷15 at 6:40pm for a retouch! It is now 9:13pm and the young lady that washed my hair name is Itanise did not properly brush through my hair. (I wouldn’t mind the wait, if it was actually more than 5 girls in here).Most African African-​American women that wear weaves know that the hair should be brushed from the bottom to the top, not for her i guess. Also my stylist who curled mt hair curled my brazilian straigh with a flat iron also Needless to say it is 9:19pm and I’m still sitting here in the shop writing this review. I would say if you can’t get to your regular hair stylist, or your second make this your 3^rd choice.

I have never had a weave in my hair before and I searched on the internet got a place to go that was reasonable. The first moment I saw there web site, I liked it. I walked in for a consultation and spoke with the receptionist and stylist they made me feel at ease. I came back a few days later and did a walk in from the first moment I felt welcomed. Got my hair washed. Braided and styled full weave with net no hair left out I was very please with the shop. The services. The price most of all the stylist Christina she made me look fierce.& fabulous, my first time with a weave first time at Salon de Weave and it won’t be my last, within a hour I received numerous compliments, my Grandaughter loves my hair.

Great experience!
I had such a horrible experience with the Weave Shop in Southfield, immediately went to Salon de Weave and it was a complete 180. The stylists were professional (no side bar conversations with each other). We actually listened to the music… it was very relaxing. No wait (arrived around 4:30pm), perfect timing for a sew in and to get my eyebrows waxed.

You get what you pay for. I got the most expensive sew in. My tracks started to slip less than a week after installation. Super long waits, even if you make an appointment. In a bad area also. Everything is extra. To curl, wash your hair prior to style, all extra. I just wish these black businesses would be more professional.
