I will NEVER go here again. I joined their membership and once my year was up I cancelled it because I didn’t use it monthly. They gave me 30 days to use my 6 massages and so I booked my first one. Once I used my first of six the manager called me and told me since my account was closed I no longer had any more massages unless I wanted to renew my membership. Such a rip off and the management there has never been very good. Save yourself the money that they’ll just take and go somewhere else. Not to mention they underpay their massage therapists.

Buyer Beware! Since Unilocal decided not to publish my extensive review… I will make this one brief with more appropriate content. If you decide to buy a membership, be prepared to lose your money at some time in the process. Whether it be Massage Envy«forgetting» or «losing» your cancellation documents or telling you when your massages expire, then when you decide to schedule they tell you they have all expired. «oh, we must have made a mistake somewhere». Its all part of their business. Stay clear unless you enjoy throwing your money away.

While I love this location I find it hard to believe that every one of their massage rooms are full during the day… every time I call I’m told they are booked. Granted often times it’s a day or 2 before, I just feel like they aren’t bringing in enough therapists during the day. I full expect the evenings and weekends to be full but not the daytime slots. What gives?

I wanted to thank Pam for handling my dos repent with the massage envy location located at river point. She was very accommodating and kind. Not only that, she rectified the situation and was a pleasure to speak with. Thank you so much Pam!

As another reviewer notes, this isn’t like a spa visit, it’s set-up more like a doctor’s office. I’ve visited a Massage Envy location on the East Coast and liked the«relaxation room» as a way to relax before my massage. Unfortunately this location does not have that feature. Not fabulous, but also not a deal breaker for me. I came here about two month ago after receiving a gift card from my mother. I had to try calling several times before having someone call me back. I finally gave up and scheduled a massage somewhere else(figuring I’d just eat the gift card and pay for a massage at a spa) then someone returned my call from 2 days earlier and scheduled an appointment. I ended up getting a good massage from a very friendly massage therapist(good pressure, asked great questions, did not talk incessantly) unfortunately I can’t remember her name but I’ll update this review if I find it. They signed me up for email updates and I got an email earlier this month about trying facials here. I called several times over the last 2 weeks(not having time to leave a message, sigh, it’s been a busy work week! Yesterday I was determined to get on the books, called a couple times throughout the day and left a message(albeit late about 10 minutes before closing). Given my experience with this place a couple of months ago I called back at 11am today to see if I could schedule a facial. I was THRILLED to get someone on my first try. The person who answered the phone even asked me if I’d like to try a facial. I responded with«that’s actually why I’m calling, I left a message yesterday evening and I’d like to follow-up». She stated that they’ve been very busy today but she did get my message(didn’t ask my name) and told me that I called after they were closed(which I didn’t so maybe she has me confused with someone else? or maybe they don’t actually stay open until 9pm?). And then she was completely silent. No offer of scheduling anything. So I then said, «well I actually wanted to see about booking a facial today if possible», she responded with«well we’re all booked up today, so that’s why I didn’t call you»(???). I’m floored at this point and say«well I would usually expect a call back even if there are no appointments available». She’s silent, no offer of scheduling another day, no offer of scheduling a different service today, no offer of calling me if someone cancels, just silent. So I let her know that I’ll just try somewhere else later in the week and thank her for her time. She does say«you’re welcome» but she certainly lost a potential customer here. I’ve never spoken to this woman before, I was completely cordial when I called. Who knows, maybe 8 other people just called and chewed her out, I don’t know, I guess to her credit she did actually answer the phone. I’m sure they are very busy but there are sooo many good spas in the area I have to wonder why anyone would sign-up to receive massages or facials here. I feel very bad for the massage therapists. I wonder how much work they must lose to unfriendly front desk staff.

I’ve had mixed results with Message Envy, everyone has their preferences, but on my last visit I finally found a masseur who quickly identified and then«cured» a problem I’ve had for 15 years. Thanks Orlando!

This is my regular massage location — I’ve been having monthly massages here for the past 18 months. It’s not a spa — so don’t expect that atmosphere. Most therapists do an excellent job, just specify the style you like and they’ll match you with the best person. Great way to make sure massage is part of your regular routine.

So furious. Had a facial(Vitamin C Murad) there this morning. I have had this before and it was fine. Today the esthetician must have had some anger built up because I now have two very distinct nail markings on my face 3 hours after the facial where she literally scraped the skin off. It is so deep I’m worried about scaring. The marks are bright red and getting worse by the minute. Stick with the massages DONOTGET A FACIALTHERE!

Went for a facial & massage. This is definitely not a spa, so don’t expect the spa-like grandeur that typically includes changing rooms, bathrobes, sandals, water and tea. The front lobby was clean, and I was offered water as I completed the requested paperwork(agreement not to sue for failure to disclose pre-existing conditions, recognition that massage & facial use products, etc.), which I was notified in advance that I would be required to fill out and was the reason I arrived 15 min prior to my scheduled appt. The lobby, however, felt more like that of a doctor’s office or beauty salon, rather than a spa. Not good, not bad, just that’s what it is. Was taken to a private room by my masseuse on time. She reviewed the paperwork I had completed & confirmed pressure preference, asked if there were any problems she should know about, etc. — pretty standard for any massage. The hour-long introductory massage for first-timers was what I went with, and as far as massages go, I would say it was pretty standard. The massage table & heating blanket were clean & adjusted for my comfort, and the masseuse checked in periodically about the pressure, but didn’t talk incessantly. I had a facial after the massage, and I believe the facial was a much better experience than the massage. I think it had a lot to do with the esthetician’s sharing of her experience — 20 years as a masseuse before switching over to skin. She briefly chatted about skin types and types of facials that are better for different types, was clear to talk about the products that she would be using(Murad), and shared that she worked for Murad in the past so she was extremely familiar with the products. Got the standard cleanse, purify, moisturize, tone treatment, which she interspersed with arm, neck, shoulder and scalp massages as the masks set. Again, no incessant babble, but just enough to share relevant info. I settled on three stars rather than 4 because I do prefer the opulence of spas, but for the price, I really wasn’t disappointed at all. Before going, I was hesitant that there would be skimping on the length of services to allow for a pitch on membership, but that wasn’t the case at all. And when I paid for my service, I got a short sales pitch that wasn’t pushy, just informative, letting me know about the pre-paid monthly massage option, which could be used for facials as well. No pressure, just information, which I appreciated. Will I go back? Probably, but not on a monthly basis — more for tune-ups and probably most likely for tune-up facials rather than massages.
