I was so upset because I went there with my daughter without an appointments but we wanted to treat our selves and we happened to be in the area for this nail salon and it was the only place that was open on a sunday. This place was busy, busy, busy. Well it was our first time, so I wanted to make sure we are getting our monies worth. These other people could be here for the first time like us because no othe salon is open on sundays and they might have had the urge to get their nails done just like us. The lady sitting at the front was busy working on someone else but said hello may I help you. You know I gots to know if theys gonna take good care of us because nothing is too good for us and I’m spending my hard earned money’s. Well she had the nerve to interrupt my sentence to tell one of the other worker to help someone else who was waiting bwfore us. I tried to be calm and continued with my questions. She kept saying i don’t have time to answer questions. You want to wait you wait you want to come back later then come back later. You know i felt like i was talking to the cable company. The put you on hold for 10 minutes and i have to wait because there’s no other company that provides service in my neighborhood. So we waited and waited and waited and waited. We would have gone somewhere else but if they were opened maybe they were busy also so we decided to wait here. Now i don’t like to wait for anything especially when I’m spending my money. But you don’t have a choice when other people were waiting before you just like at the supermarket and everyone is buying there groceries after morning services. Even if we have to wait one hour we have to wait because we don’t have any other time. They should pay someone to just sit there and answer questions for people who come to the salon for the first time but you know only schedule them to work only at the busy times just like Wal-Mart. Well it was worth the wait. But i want to complain because i want to be treated like a princess when i go to a small business like this. They treat you great at those posh salons but they charge you a lot more. I want to save my money and get great service. If you know a place like this let me know. But i do recommend this place they do a great job. I wish they weren’t so busy because i don’t like to wait. I should give them a bad review because they made me wait and i didn’t have a choice to go somewhere else. But they did a great job so i will give them 5 stars.

I am mildly allergic to the primer used for acrylic nails. Applied carefully, I will not have a reaction. New to Sky for fills, I showed Joy pictures of what would happen if the primer was applied too liberally. Hey, honesty, right? Had she discreetly(salon was packed) stated that she was sorry, but would not be able to do my fills or that she was not comfortable doing them, I would have completely respected her. However, she chose to start freaking out… loudly. Very loudly. I was completely humiliated. On the verge of tears, I repeatedly(and quietly) asked her how much my balance was as I had already had a pedicure and I was paying for my adult daughter’s as well who was still in the chair. Seriously, I had to ask her at least at 6 times. She just kept going on loudly… only now I believe it was an attempt to right herself in front of the other customers as she started to explain and apologize. I just needed to get out of there. So, despite the fact that the girls who do their pedicures are very good, I won’t be back… ever.

I went there today with my daughter for a pedicure. Since it’s my first time there I asked if she, the owner, could tell me what they do for their pedicures. She said it was«$ 25 but don’t ask me any questions about pedicures if I have to keep answering questions then that’s all I’m doing is answering questions instead of doing nails. I literally stood there and looked at my daughter and then looked at some of the other customers who were feeling probably as uncomfortable as I was. She continued to explain that she’s busy and that they have a lot of customers so take your seat and wait. The whole time I’m sitting there I’m thinking is that really how you talk to your customers? Even my 11 yr old daughter said she was rude. I decided to stay because i do believe that she shouldn’t be a reflection of the whole staff. Ultimately the actual pedicure was fantastic. Maria was fantastic and I highly recommend her. My feet soaked in the whirlpool for about 15mins When Maria took my feet out she pushed back the cuticles and cleaned up my nails. My feet were so smooth and they haven’t felt that good in a long time she also put different gels and lotions on my legs. Then a hot towel. Alexandria handled my daughter and did great, though my daughter’s feet are sensitive so everything tickled. I probably felt more sorry for Alexandria to put up with her. Lol Oddly enough a disagreement broke out between a customer and the owner. Apparently someone prepaid for her and her granddaughter to have what she thought would be a Mani and pedi. Apparently she only got a mani. When she quietly asked the owner about it, the owner jumped up and got very defensive. The customer, after some light back and forth, decided to call her son to come in and confirm the purchase. While she waited for him she got angrier and angrier about how she was treated at the onset, though I believe she then took it to the wrong level by continuing to complain and then curse. There was a lot of kids there and it became ridiculous. I’m being very light in my description but I just wanted to show that the owner’s customer service is not up to par, but thankfully the service itself is what MAY bring me back in the future… but in the interim, I’ll be looking for another place.

Gel manicures chip very easily and they are not cheap here. I have seen the manager reprimand customers for what seemed to be fair complaints. She can be moody. I used to be a regular because of proximity but I’ve found decent manicures in the area that were less costly but just as well done.

I like this salon, primarily because of its close proximity to my home, but it does have positives. The owner, Joy, is a great representation of her name. She’s almost always smiling and frequently runs from the front to the back of the salon, to serve the constantly-revolving door of clients that much quicker. Unfortunately, like most salons, there is little use in making an appointment, as walk-ins that show up five minutes before appointment times often take the technician assigned to those appointments. From the outside of the salon, you would think that it’s much smaller than it is. Its size is preventative in the upkeep that it needs in order to be high-end, but prices are consistent with those of a high-end nail salon, at $ 45 for a gel manicure. There are no bells or whistles– no beverages offered, etc., but mini-massages are usually given after nail services. For the most part, the prices are worth the quality of nail services, as nails stay painted and intact for four-five weeks, if you push it. Waxing services are not terrible, but not as thorough as any other salon I’ve been to. As with most other nail salons, cash tips are most highly encouraged, and there is an ATM with only a $ 0.99 fee to withdraw funds. If you must tip on your credit card, you need to let them know before they run your card.

This review is for the manager/owner. She is extremely rude and disrespectful to customers. It’s alarming. The pedicures are very good but not worth being abused when you want to relax. I will never be back and will tell others not to go.

My family and I have been going here for years. They are wonderful people and do great nails! They always try to accommodate us, which is hard because they are so busy. The prices are fair and they have a frequent shopper card. We love it here!

Amazing gel manicures and pedicures! I have been a customer for over 3+ years here and now I travel over 20 minutes just to come to Sky Nail Zone! Pay with cash and you can get double points with their loyalty program. I have earned tons of free manicures and pedicures over the years. It’s not super fancy, but the service and the back massage at the end of each nail service are well worth the money. I love Bonnie for Gel Nails and Ester for Pedicures. Love this place!

They do a great job with the gel manicure. Recent visit was on July 3rd, had gone away on vacation on July 4th so I wanted a manicure that would last up to 2 weeks and the gel manicure lasted 3 weeks! It gets very busy at times and I never book an appointment. I just walk in so expect a wait during popular times or pre holiday or events. Overall service is good. Sign up for there rewards card, if you go frequent enough you earn points for a free mani or pedi on your next visit. Prices are reasonable, pretty much the same in this area. Joy and her husband Steve are nice and are the current owners. Its convenient to me. Great location… right next to the Multiplex and in the Shoprite shopping center. Its my spot and I don’t usually go anywhere else.

I will not be back to sky zone nails. I came in 45 minutes before they closed. I was the only customer. I received a rushed manicure. I sat under the dryer for 10 minutes. They asked me if they could turn the lights out because they were closed. I said sure. Then, they told me I was dry. I told them I was not dry. I was told it was unfair of me to expect them to stay later than their closing time to wait for my nails to dry. They insisted I leave and I protested. Eventually, I resolved to leave with wet nails which were smudged, nicked and smeared no sooner than I go to the car. I will not ever go back. I thought they did a decent job on the manicure but the service was inexcusable.
