Delicious pizza! I have only experienced delivery and it has been a great experience every time. In my opinion it is the best pizza delivery in Hilliard

I called a pick up order in tonight excited to try this new to Hilliard pizza joint. We ordered for our family 2 specialty pizza a 3rd pepperoni and took advantage of a coupon offer for free salad soda and bread sticks. The guy told me 30 – 35 minutes. When I went in to pay my $ 40 bill the server says they were behind and she would make sure to put my ticket in right away. So now another 45 minute wait, they bring out my food and apologized. Gave me some coupons for next time but nothing special, just some different specials. We go home to eat, and … Meh. I don’t care for the sauce or dough especially on the pepperoni and the breakfast and tater tot specialty pies were both very one note and nothing special. Seemed very dry and apparently we didn’t get the sour cream that was supposed to go on the tater tot pizza. I came because of the bold advertising offering a money back guarantee if it wasn’t some of the best pizza I’ve ever had. Really fell short on that promise. I’m not the type to go back for a refund… I just won’t go back.

I really like the pizza here… It’s not as good as the Grandview location, perhaps because Hilliard uses a salamander style oven and Grandview has the traditional gas oven. The pizza is a solid 4 stars. Grandad’s Hilliard loses a star for their horribly inconsistent service. I’ve ordered for carryout, had to wait well past the estimated ready time for the pizza, and been handed a lukewarm pizza(clearly it had been sitting in the kitchen and the person working to bar forget about my order). I’ve also ordered for carryout and been handed a piping hot pizza. It’s hit or miss for carryout. We’ve also dined in and found the food to be delivered solely, but fresh and hot. The servers, even when the restaurant isn’t crowded, come around infrequently and it’s hard to get refills or order drinks. I’m hoping over time the service will improve because I really do like the pizza.

Honestly? I was unimpressed. And I was sad that I was unimpressed. I’m not a hipster type who lives to be unimpressed with restaurants. We picked up two 10″ pizzas one night because we weren’t sure if we wanted to drop $ 30 on two slightly bigger pizzas. The pizzas are not inexpensive – the two small pizzas we bought were over $ 20 – so I was expecting them to be really great. We got a cheese pizza(I have been in a cheese pizza phase, plus we have a vegetarian in the house) and one of their specialties, a pizza that comes with tater tots on it. The pizza was fine. It was not amazing. I wasn’t expecting miracles from the cheese pizza – I know plain cheese isn’t exactly a show-stopper. The specialty pizza disappointed highly, though. It was a sad little thing with a few scattered tater tots that looked like it had been sitting in a gas station warmer for half an hour. I’m not trying to be mean, but that’s exactly how I felt when I opened the box. The menu claims it is «loaded» with tater tots. This was not true; «sprinkled» would be more accurate. Maybe we went on an off night, I don’t know. I’m not against paying ~ $ 10 for a 10″ pizza – I will pay this and more at Bono or Harvest any day of the week. Grandad’s wasn’t remotely on par with their quality and I can’t see myself going back.

A customer of mine recommended this place so I took my wife and granddaughter to eat there. We were impressed by the busy dining room. Menu looks good selection wise, also some very good draft beers. Service was OK, food looked very good going to other tables. Long and short… We were excited, new place, close… pizza crust could be the worst I’ve had in a restaurant cardboard really describes it and we had meal delivered incomplete. When wife’s sub finally arrived it was cold. Sorely disappointed. wanted to love this place

Grandad’s Pizza and Pub delivers great pizza, wings, subs, salads and exceptionally tasty stromboli among many other menu items. It is clearly a work in progress as any new business is. That being said there is in fact major progress being made every time I dine there. They offer trivia on Mondays, game night on Tuesdays and 50 cent wings on Wednesday. Pool table, shuffle board, darts and ping pong are just some of the activities available. Caring and curteous staff while Service has improved dramatically and the food is exceptional every time. A MUSTTRY!!!

We love the food but the service is consistently terrible. We waited for 40 minutes for our food. Our drink glasses were empty and never refilled. It’s tough to eat wings and pizza without a drink. Also one of our chicken wings was totally raw… I really want to like this place but they make it difficult. Third time was not a charm.

I was so excited to read there is a Grandad’s in Hilliard now! I love the Grandview one and haven’t ate there for years! We went in and we were the only 4 in the restaurant. I agree with the other reviews I’ve read, this is a place for pick up, not a sit down. Our booths seat springs were broken, so it was a little uncomfortable, and the bathrooms were not at all clean. Our service was ok. We ordered the 3 small 7 inch pizza that you can build your own off the appetizer section. Which was a great deal! We got the garlic Parmesan boneless wings, not the best. A salad, iceberg lettuce was the only lettuce. We also got the tater tot pizza. It was also ok. Instead of printing new menus or updating their website, they just used a sharpie to remove several items from the menu. Very disappointed, the location is also hard to find. If I want Grandad’s again, I’ll drive to the Grandview location.

I think this place is the epitome or a 3. It’s very so so. First time I went I thought the pizza was pretty good, the second time it was bad(not a not fresh taste). Subsequent visits(it’s just down the road from my office) have been somewhere in the middle. Not a very impressive bar if that what you are looking for as it had a poor beer and liquor selection. I wish them luck, but they need to seriously work on the consistency of their products.

Grandad’s is the latest tenant in an unfortunate location; no-signage space between Staples and Home Depot on Trueman Boulevard that has had multiple concepts come and go. But they *are* open! Busy as hell on some nights, in fact; I had to pick a quieter time to visit and check it out when parking wasn’t full. Long story short, it’s a good place for the family set to get a pizza away from home. There is a bar too(not separate from the rest of the room); beer selection is modest and prices are average to slightly high. I know I can get a generic American like Yuengling cheaper elsewhere. Staff is very friendly, service ok. The pizza is good, and I would guess it’s not the automated style that so many places have now; the thin crust was done just right(aka not underdone), toppings pretty good. Reviewers that mention takeout may have a point; the pizza merits a stop-by, but not necessarily a stay. Might add a star if I find more on the menu to make it worth the noise. Location: Turn off of Trueman Blvd, where Staples is but go right instead of left. Good for groups. Noise level is pretty high when the room is busy.

On the HAPPYHOUR Friday we went to Grandads Trueman Blvd. It was packed with under 13YO’s, about 75% of the patrons. They were running all over the place. 50% of the tables were marked reserved, no tables available. Really, no Happy Hour like I’ve ever seen. Actually, no one drinking because they were chasing kids. So we ordered a pep pizza to go. I was charged $ 7 more to add onions, green peppers, & mushrooms. $ 18 total/coupon. I was told the pizza would take 30 – 60 min. And they would call for us when the pizza was ready. After, 30 min. we asked about the pizza, and learned it had been ready for pick-up for«some time.» No one called. We took the pizza home(1 mile), and by that time it was stone cold, and soggy. After reheating, the cracker crust pizza was tasty. A solid B if we had got the pizza timely. If you can’t make it here, go to Chunky Cheese, where the patrons are older, and quieter. The experience was horrible, the pizza OK+.

Great addition to the area. Their pizza is super good — think Donatos with much fresher ingredients and a crispier crust. About 10 beers on tap and a good 20 TVs to watch the game(they have the Sunday NFL package).

This place has great pizza, great service. I have eaten there and done takeout. I love their pepperoni pizza, salads, subs, garlic bread. Once I got a sub and it was luke warm, but that’s the only complaint I can come up with. I’m glad they came to Hilliard, and next time I want to try the bar!

The Pizza is Great just get carry out. Calling this place a pub is a joke more like Chuck E Cheese. My husband and I went in for pizza and cocktails and possibly to play darts. The lightly was extremely bright not sure if they have heard of dimming the lights. The sound was on for the game BUT only in the dinning area no sound at the bar. If we wanted to play darts we couldn’t as kids were throwing steel tip darts and running around(what were the parents thinking). All and all way to many kids running around throwing corn-hole bags, being loud. I don’t consider that a «PUB».

Great new place in Hilliard! Clean, open space with lots of tv’s. Very nice bar, but also very family friendly. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. We sat at the bar for a drink and ordered a pizza to go. Quick service and we were on our way. The pizza is so good! Thin crust, not greasy and generous with toppings. Other food on the menu sounded good also. We will be back soon.
