Awesome Service!!! Several months ago I dropped my laptop and it landed on the AC plug and broke the AC plug port. I was traveling for work at the time and I was unable to get it fixed for several months. I looked at sending it back to the manufacturer, though its long out of warranty, and they wanted a $ 250 fee just to take a look at it with no promises. Then I went to Geek Squad and they said they would need to send it in to their repair facilities for a shipping fee of $ 35 and a repair fee of about $ 100 – 130 but then when I told him that is a 2011 laptop(still performing great) he said that could easily double the price, so back to $ 250 – 300 for repair. Both of these methods were going to take several weeks or months more. Then as I was driving down Cornell I saw Compuchips’ sign and stopped by. It was after hours and they were closed but Ed was in there working late and he let me in to ask him about it. He said that he could fix it for about $ 140 and that if I brought it to him the next morning he could have it done by the end of the day. Sure enough Ed was true to his word and it was done by the end of the day and he even epoxied the small crack around the port. And to top it all off Ed only charged me $ 120. I’m definitely going back to Ed at Compuchips for any of my computer needs. TL:DR Ed is a great guy running a great business so give him your business and you will be happy!

Looked for a 20 to 24 pin adapter at 5 places and couldn’t find one was even told that they are impossible to find, and i found one here. I needed a small SATA cable(not a 16 or 18 in one) to connect a CD-rom to a motherboard, couldnt find it anywhere. An employee took a clear coated cord and wrapped it around a pencil and used a heat gun to make it 4 inches and charged me next to nothing for it. Seriously excellent business.
