We’ve been here so many times for their picnic lunch, picnic basket deals, and wine tasting. Must RSVP ahead of time for the food. Food is mostly homemade from their farm and garden. Very delicious and elegant. This place is beautiful, relaxing, and peaceful. Best to come here during the day. They have public events going on weekend nights as well. We joined the wine club, because we absolutely love their wines and got 20% off wine bottles. Our favorite is the Sangria wine, full of spices of cinnamon and nutmeg! Perfect for the fall season. Wine tasting $ 10 for a flight of 5 wines, a little shorthanded, but you can walk around and enjoy the scenery. Very lovely visit!

Our first visit here a few years back was with a Living Social deal. We loved the location(seriously, read all the reviews — even the low raters love the views), enjoyed the wine, and it became our first wine club. No, it’s not cheap, but the quality is high, and the owners are wonderful. So, here’s why you should go: First, Stuart and Melinda are awesome. They’re the owners, they’re down to earth, and a visit there feels like a visit with friends. They bend over backwards for their club members! Second, the wines are good. If you like sweeter wines, this isn’t your place. They have some good white varieties, a nice sparkling white, pretty good pinots, and our favorite, sangria. No, not your traditional sangria. This is a bit more like a spicy dessert(i.e. Port) wine. It’s a Pinot noir fortified with a Pinot noir brandy, but it’s best feature is the spice. Imagine a balance of sweet with habanero spicy. It’s a love it or hate it drink, so give it a taste. Third, the location is amazing. The house is stunning, the views are breath-taking. Even the drive down Dick Road is pretty amazing(that old train trestle-wow!). Finally, there are all of the extras. They host a few«festivals» throughout the year, which usually means live music, food, drink, and fun. Very enjoyable, and lots of room for the kids to roam. Oh, and there’s Mon Ami, or just Mona, their Golden. She’s a joy!

Location should get 5 stars, customer service 4 – 5 stars, but the farm basket… OMG what a joke. I purchased a LivingSocial deal and I still feel ripped off. On their website these basket sell for $ 50. The deal is promoted on both Groupon and LivingSocial with the most gorgeous basket(which looks like $ 50), but your face will melt in disappointment when you are handed your basket. Since my picture can’t fully show what was in there I will explain: One grilled chicken breast cut into 4 slices, one tub of pasta salad, one pint of blue berries, 16 marinated mushrooms, and 4 tiny cookies. How could that ever sell for $ 50??? I paid $ 28 with my «deal» but it is still so far off that I feel I need to warn people. Anyway the reason why this still gets 2 stars is because the location is simply beautiful, probably the most beautiful vineyard I have seen in Oregon, and the people that worked there was just great, very friendly and accommodating.

Very disappointing! Although the property is beautiful and the farm basket was tasty their customer service was the worse I’ve experienced in a long time. Enough to never go back not recommend it.

We were disappointed with our experience at the Festival held at the Garden Vineyards. We purchased a Groupon and just didn’t feel that it was as presented. We were told that they didn’t do tastings, but we could purchase a bottle of wine. I would have been happier if we could have done a tasting and if the menu had been as promised. No pesto and bread, an apple cut in half. and we had to get our cookies from the leftovers on the corporate buffet. The pulled pork sandwiches were good, but served with just a teaspoon of sauce. A corporate event was being held at the same time as the picnic. Of course, corporate was treated differently than the other visitors. The setting was beautiful. There was not much parking available. The corporate event took up much of the available space.

I am writing about my experience on 9÷12÷2014 First of all, the gardens are beautiful and the view is spectacular. Issue number one. This was a festival this week-end and the web site stated the music started at 6 pm. It did not start until 7:45 pm! Plus they did not have all the items as listed on their menu on the website. Issue number two… we, along with some others had a Groupon that stated that it was good for the festivals and good until 10 pm. We had made reservations and ordered our picnic basket. We were told that it was only good until 4 pm and we were there at 4:30. That is NOT what the groupon said. The two women were very condescending and would only offer the $ 22 we paid for the groupon. After pushback from several Groupon holders we were given $ 40 credit for food. The attitude of these two women was very unbecoming. I do not know what their capacity was. Anyway, NOT a way to provide customer service. Tone of voice, body language and facial expressions speak volumes. I have tasted wine from this vineyard for the past few years and have never been impressed. Their current release of rose’ is the best of the bunch. If they are going to use Groupons and have festivals, they need an attitude adjustment and need to improve their game.

I had been here for Mother’s Day brunch a few years ago, and this time I came here with some of my friends for their summer festival with picnic. The place is very pretty and has a stunning view of the hills. It’s just so relaxing. We picked up a bottle of Rosé(it was pretty good!) when we ordered our meals. They had only bottles for wine purchase and some beers and sparkling juices. I wished they’d had an option to buy them by glass, and for $ 20 price it would’ve been better that juice, coffee or tea were included. Anyway, we all enjoyed it, and I would love to come back for another occasion!

I’ll start off with the good– The property was absolutely beautiful. Perfect for a romantic evening. Very spacious and plenty of seating all around the property. Loved the music choice. Not so good– I received quite a bit of attitude from what I believe to be is the owner. She also interrupted(what I believe to be was her brother, who works there as well) while he was explaining a wine to us, to nag at him for something. It was quite uncomfortable. We did the wine tasting and she gave us small little kiddy looking cups with hardly any wine. Not worth the money that’s for sure. We also ordered the picnic dinner for 2. Instead of it being brought out to you, you have to go and keep checking. If the food does come out, it ends up sitting there until you get it. Keep in mind, it’s not very fun to sit there(30 minutes or so) until your food is done, because of course you want to go enjoy the scenery/sit at a table with a view. All in all, I think this place has great potential but bottom line, it is really uncomfortable when owner(s) are arguing and very unprofessional.

The vineyard is beautiful and the view is gorgeous. It’s one of those places you bring relatives visiting from out of town so you can show off how amazing Oregon is. It’s also one of those places where you think to yourself, «Hey, I should get married here». But… they don’t do weddings anymore. Something about legal reasons due to being so rural? The internet says otherwise but you know what they say about believing things you find online. Anyways… We used a Groupon deal($ 22 for a picnic worth $ 40). I’m not sure I would have paid $ 40 for the picnic, but $ 22 was a decent price. We made a reservation and upon arrival were presented with three picnic options: chicken, beef, or grilled veggies. We opted for the beef and then decided to share a pinot tasting flight($ 10 for 5 tastes). The tastes were fairly small and I felt as though they were not at all worth $ 10. Yes, some of the wines were good, but it was a bit pricey for those small tastings. Lying on the outside day bed and looking off into the distance of the Oregon hills made up for this. About 30 minutes after we arrived we went up to grab our last tasting and our picnic was ready. It was perfect for a picnic at a vineyard! Everything was tasty and fresh. I loved the caprese salad and fresh pesto. The beef was perfectly marinated and cooked to a delicious medium rare. Loved it! There was also live music on the Sunday afternoon that we were there. I would love to come back and enjoy another picnic at sunset with wine and friends and music. It would be lovely and I’m sure I’ll be back.

The first time I visited Garden Vineyards was a lovely, sunny day, I would have given 5 stars. This is a beautiful vineyard a short drive from Hillsboro. I sampled the sangria, and loved it so much, I bought some at a later date. The second time I visited the vineyard, it was less than ideal, and would have given 3 stars, so 4 stars is the average of 2 visits. I went to the Virgo Birthdays featuring Hit Machine. We thought the band was starting up at 6, and got to the Vineyard at around 7ish. We had to pay $ 7 per person, and the band actually didn’t start playing till 8. We had to park quite a long ways down the hill, and I was glad that I wore flat shoes, but my friend had less than ideal shoes on, not a pleasant walk. Once we got there, most of the seating was taken, but not such a big deal, since once the music started up, we were out on the crowded dance floor. The music was fun and the crowd of people was fun. There were a couple of well behaved dogs running loose, I was concerned about one tiny, cute dog that people seemed to trip over. I didn’t like the idea of having to buy a whole bottle of wine. I just wanted a glass, so I just went without beverage. The band was only playing from 8−10pm, and with all the cars, and the narrow road, anticipated a nightmare getting out, so we left a half hour early. The walk back to our car was a little more treacherous, since it was pitch black. Thank goodness for cell phones, but even with the light from our cell phones, my friend managed to step on a big rock and almost twisted her ankle. I don’t want the review to be all negative. Like I said, it’s a gorgeous vineyard, and I would definitely be back… just not after dark!

I came here last year and again this year for a multi-day company meeting. The meeting space is comfortable with couches and cushioned chairs, giving it a nice intimate feel instead of a cold corporate room. The snacks, lunch, and dinners are made on site and are delicious and high quality. The vineyard itself is conveniently located right off of Hwy 26. It is gorgeous here with beautiful views and a nice outdoor area for dinner and drinks. The wine selection is nice. I will definitely be back for a social occasion.

Went for sampling and a little food. It’s a beautiful place with lots of quiet little spots to sit and enjoy a glass of wine. Staff was really nice and knowledgeable about the wines. Had a nice little variety to sample from and their bottle prices are what you’d expect at a winery. Had a sample platter that included bread, cheeses, veggies, and meat. Was really enjoyable. If you haven’t been here before you should give them a try.

I purchased a Living Social coupon and it was due to expire. So, I while I had planned to use this coupon during the sunny summer months, alas, here it was late October and the rain had started. This property is off the beaten path, but well signed and you have to know in advance that this location is at the end of Dick Road(so keep going). I had looked it up on the map and noticed that fact so I knew that at the end of the road there would be the vineyard. We pulled up to a house but it had various golf carts and other implements around so it appeared that no one resided there. The sign on the front door said join us outside on the patio just down the stairs. So, we followed down the stairs(I’m not sure what you do if you cannot do stairs – it looks like you maybe able to pull around on another side but I’m not clear on that) I would probably call first if I had any kind of mobility issues. We walked a little ways and saw a lighted room and so we went inside. Turns out this is the bathroom and not where they were wine tasting. We kept walking through the patio and there was no one in site. Finally, we spotted a large tent that was put up and the tasting area was set up there. We walked in and were casually greeted by a young girl who proceeded to tell us what they were out of and wanted to know if we wanted to taste a wine. I said that we had a coupon for the lunch basket and she wanted the info off of that and she would go and make it up. She then took off to go do that leaving us huddled on some damp chairs under the tent with another couple. It was about 48 degrees under the tent and they had heaters for the outdoors but they weren’t lit. The YS and I were beginning to think we should get the food to go and forget the wine. Then the owner Melinda came out and asked if we wanted to taste a wine and proceeded to tell us a bit about them and we decided to split a tasting. She told us about how their vineyard as well as their farm acreage(they have about 70 acres). While we were talking the girl brought out the food and set it down not saying anything to anyone. I later asked Melinda if that was for us and she said yes. Melinda also quickly lit the heaters when she got out there she said that her helper(the girl from earlier) didn’t know how to do it. I think the girl needs some training as she’s doing a great business a real disservice. We ended up eating our lunch which was very tasty and bought a bottle of wine to enjoy with our lunch as well as two bottles to take home. I will say that our first impression was not a great one based on the girl and her demeanor we were going to eat and leave. Melinda is very friendly and customer service oriented. I will definitely be back again. If we didn’t have two wine club memberships already we would have joined theirs as they have fun events with the wine pick ups as well as other events open to the general public. Beautiful setting, I would highly recommend.

Garden Vineyards is a hidden paradise in Hillsboro. Just 15 minutes away from the hustle and bustle of Cornell Blvd, it is a quiet and secluded spot that is perfect if you just want to get away for a day but feel like you’re hours away. We found Garden Vineyards through a Living Social deal for their picnic basket. They allow outside food, but wine has to be purchased on site. They do wine tastings and you can opt to buy bottles of wine. Since the weather was so nice, we didnt get a chance to take a look inside the main building, but when we walked around the grounds, I was amazed by how expansive area is. There are day beds, hammocks, tables(large/small) and gazebos for you to enjoy the views while siping on delicious wine, all while providing decent privacy. I will definitely try to make a trip back before the rain comes.

Stumbled upon this vineyard by pure luck! So glad we found it. In the middle of a rural area, is this beautiful vineyard and a lovely Tuscan villa. The tasting fee is $ 10 and we got to sample 6 different wines. We got to try their sparkling white, table white wine, Pinot rose, Pinot noir, the reserve pinot noir, and the sangria. I have never found a winery where I enjoyed EVERY single wine I tasted but here at Garden Vineyard, I liked them all! So much so that we decided to become members. The winery has fun events scheduled. Thursday nights they have movie night and on Friday nights, they have live music on the outdoor patio. You can enjoy a picnic on the grounds and are welcomed to bring your own food(but no outside wine) or buy a picnic basket at the winery which includes fresh baked bread they make themselves every day, fruit, cheese, salami, and a cookie. On colder nights, they bring out blankets and heaters. A perfect setting for a romantic evening.

Beautiful setting and wine isn’t bad either! Sangria is a little spicy for my taste. Very relaxed setting. Bring a picnic basket or snacks of your own and just purchase the wine there. Dog«Mona» can sometimes be a little too boisterous but she’s fun.

My friend and I visited Garden Vineyards after visiting a nearby vineyard and boy we were blown away. AMAZING experience. Highly recommended. Melinda and Stuart are the owners and although we didn’t get a chance to meet Stuart, we really enjoyed Melinda. She was very very friendly and knowledgeable. We really enjoyed that she was kind, open and inviting. We did the wine tasting, it was $ 10 per person for 5 or 6 tasting. All great! The white blend that had was phenomenal, which we bought. We also bought a basket that was on that came with a bunch of yummy tastings including our choice of protein, we choose the smoked salmon, also great. The grounds are the most impressive. Huge, beautiful home on the hillside overlooking Hillsboro. They even have music, movies nights Thursday and Friday nights. On Saturday nights, they choose a charity and raise money of the selected charity, which i think is great, not all businesses do that. The grounds are just spectacular. Melinda even let us take out basket and our bottle of wine and go hang out. Definitely would recommend this place to anyone. Kind of wish they still did weddings, its that beautiful. We will be back! Look up the website, you will be able to see the amazing photos they have and special events!
