Ambience was really good. Food was delicious. Quality and quantity was good. Prices were appropriate. Pad Thai was awesome! Must visit.

We’ve been here several times now and have been consistantly surprised by the variety of wonderful flavors in every dish we’ve ordered. There is nothing bland about their food. Everything tastes authentic and each dish has its own unique flavors. The woman who works there(proprietress?) is charming and friendly. Phở Tango is good too, but it’s more predictable. Phở Saigon feels and tastes more like an authentic Vietnamese dining experience. We’re hooked.

The grilled chicken fried I had is really good. Chicken is very soft. I would come here next time just for this.

I was originally disappointed when this business changed ownership, but now that it’s been a while the current owners have REALLY stepped up their game!!! The place is no longer geared to the quick service lunch format opting instead for more of a sit-down restaurant feel. I had the lemongrass pork Banh-mi(best I’ve had in my life!!!) and a spring roll(good) with a Vietnamese iced coffee(not too sweet! Just perfect) overall the experience was great! But remember to leave yourself extra time or call ahead if you’re in a hurry! The food takes a bit longer to get than it used to but it’s well worth the wait!

There are a handful of Vietnamese restaurants in the Hillsboro area, and I’m glad we chose this one try to this evening. Although they claim to be a Phở restaurant, they have many other dishes that are absolutely delicious. Their fish sauce chicken wings are a must try, 6 for $ 5, and also their banh mi sandwiches. The only one we tried this evening was the beef patty one and I must say, they definitely know how to marinade and season their meats! It is true, this place is a mom n’ pop shop, but they’re super friendly and even offer a punch card that gives you $ 10 off the 10th visit! Aside from the appetizers we ordered, the com tam(combination broken rice) which was very very good and filling, it can feel 2 people easily with another side of rice, and also a wonton and bbq pork noodle soup which was very good with added red vinegar. I would definitely eat here again and I even have family flying up here soon from the mecca of vietnamese communities, Bolsa, California, and this place is definitely worthy. A little slow in delivery I agree, but well worth the wait! 2 appetizers and 2 entrees(one of them being extremely huge) for $ 30. Yeah, you should try it… :)

Walked in to order a boba tea and walked out with an unblended, sour tasting cup of nastiness. I literally think the milk may have been rotten. This is the only thing I ordered, so I can’t judge anything else, but if this boba tea was this bad, I can assure you I won’t be back for any kind of food.

Am from out of town, came in for 2 weeks training, and been here 3x already, yesterday I was able to tried the Com Tam saigon, rice special, love it, really tasty, specially the pork which has lemon grass that the right way to do. My first time was there at lunch which was crowded, I was going to go Phở Tango but went with my instinct stay, the next two time came back on off peak hours, the food are very consistent and the owner is very nice. I WOULDRECOMMENDTHISPLACETOEVERYONE. The second reviewer kinder harsh on them, if you want quick food, why don’t you go McDonald or Taco bell next to it, this is call dinning or seat down restaurant which mean you have to prepare the food.

The best way I can describe this place is «white washed». The food was not flavorful, very bland and not spicy at all. I was not asked how hot they should make the dish like most Vietnamese places do. While the food was not bad I would not recommend this place to anyone that wanted Vietnamese food. I ordered iced coffee and the picture in the menu shows the usual Phin drip coffee maker that sits on top of the cup but when my coffee arrived it was already iced, mixed, etc. I could taste it was sweetened but it was not sweetened with sweet condensed milk as usual. I felt lied to since the picture in the menu showed a Phin but I was not given a Phin and instead was given something that tasted like a powdered mix.

I work in the Hillsboro area and often venture out for lunch in nearby establishments. Within the nearby strip mall(Fred Meyers), there are now two Vietnamese restaurants. After dining at Phở Saigon Bistro, a handful of times(each time going to see if they will improve or maybe the service was a fluke). This place appears to be a family-owned restaurant, with possibly the mom doing the cooking and a younger gentleman manning the front counter area. The place is new, is clean, the food(so far, I have ordered: banh mi, shrimp fried rice, vermicelli bowls, shrimp pad thai) are ok, nothing spectacular, some of the dishes lacked a little flavor. Like the 1st reviewer said, it’s not consistent(varies). Unfortunately, I will give this place only 1 star. I know you’re new in business, but please, in order to survive, make sure, you guys have sufficient staffing during busy hours. I do not want to wait 25+ minutes for my Shrimp Pad Thai!!! If you cannot produce the dish in less than 15 minutes, take if off the menu. I was rooting for you guys, but you guys pale in comparison to Phở Tango. You will not survive with the level of service you guys provide, no matter how good the food is, as Phở Tango is just as good, if not better. Improve on: 1) sufficient staffing(extra cook, perhaps) 2) organizational skills(there were 2 parties after myself, they received their orders first) 3) reconsider the options on the menu(if you cannot produce it w/i 15 minutes or less, take it off the menu) 4) be consistent on quality/taste of the dishes After so many attempts to see if this place would improve, I will take my business to Phở Tango. Maybe you can change things up, revamp the business to a Thai restaurant? We do not have one nearby, closest one is Thai Elephant. Food for thought.

3.5 stars We came here for lunch on a friday and luckily managed to grab a table. Service is quite fast. The phở was nice and fresh, and piping hot and was just right on a cold portland — rainy day.

Three stars because I liked it, but didn’t love it. I ordered the Phở bo vien. While it was decent, I can’t say it was the best I ever had. While we were in the car, my friends and I were contemplating whether to go into Phở Tango or Saigon Bistro. It was quite odd that there are two phở places in the same complex area. We decided on Saigon Bistro because although, Phở Tango looked more modern and developed, I was turned off by the giant TV screens for sports viewing. I assumed Saigon Bistro would have more authentic Vietnamese food. When we entered, I noted how empty the place was. We were not greeted right away and stood around awkwardly. After being seated though, everything was fine. Food was decent, service was decent. It was A-OK

I eat a couple sandwiches a week from here, love the #9 tofu sandwich. The hours here on Unilocal are wrong, they’re open till 9pm. Weird religious programming on the TV, it’s good entertainment if you eat there or you’re waiting for a takeout order.

The Phở is good, but not the best I’ve ever had. Service was prompt and friendly. The restaurant is a little eccentric: I went in early September and the overhead speaker was playing Christmas music by Kenny G.

This is my newly discovered favorite PHO place in Hillsboro. It’s located right off Imbrie near my employer. Funny thing this restaurant is located in the same strip mall/plaza as Phở Tango. The broth here is great with the right amount of noodles and meat. The workers are friendly and pleasant to talk with. It is a smaller place but I love the somewhat open feel to the place. The price is right at around $ 9 for the Phở Dac Biet, and they also have bubble tea and Vietnamese Binh minh sandwiches here. I always order the phở when I come here and it never fails to disappoint. My friend has the lemongrass chicken and he has mentioned that it is one of the best version of this dish he has had. I love eating here and will continue to do so.

We just moved to the area from Nopo(damn rent raised and forced us out!) Have been working our way through local Phở joints. This place wins hands down! The absolute BEST broth I’ve ever tasted(and I’m a phở snob) Delicately layered flavors that morph as they work their way across your palate. Delicious! Only gripe would be that the beef started out pretty well done and was a bit overcooked once in the broth. Salad rolls are generously sized but pretty standard, rice noodle, tofu and lettuce. Peanut sauce was nothing to write home about but satisfied the need to dunk. We’ll be back!

3.5 stars for this vietnamese bistro in Hillsboro. Makes a great lunch spot for offices nearby plus they have some nice discounts. Went on memorial day, extra points for being open, but the service was a bit spotty and slow. Since it was a holiday I’ll give them the benefit of doubt. The Banh mi was pretty good for the price and location, can’t compare it with the fare you get in downtown but pretty good for the area.

The Subway next door was really busy so I decided to try something new and walk over to Saigon Bistro, which is about 20 paces away. Still being in the mood for a sandwich, I got their signature bahn mi and was not disappointed. It was cheap, fresh and filling — how can you go wrong? The people who work there are always working hard and are very kind. I appreciate the opportunity to support a family business.

We stopped here on the way home from the coast. We spilt an order of eggrolls and both went for the lemongrass grilled chicken sandwich. The eggrolls ate lighter than most I have had, a welcome trait. They were brought out right away with some tasty dipping sauce. The bahn mi were perfect for a light meal. The bread was toasty, the veggies crisp and the chicken flavorful. The place is spotless, the service quick and friendly and the prices very affordable. I also tried the coconut drink. Perhaps it is one of those cultural differences that don’t translate well to my western palate, it isn’t something I would order again. This is the second place I have had bahn mi and I loved it from both. I may have found my new most favorite sandwich. I look forward to trying this at other places and see how they compare. I will definitely be coming back to this place when I am passing through. Yum!

Stooped by to grab a quick bite. Tried the Lemongrass chicken Banh Mi. The bread was fresh and its about the size of 6 inch Subway sandwich. The taste and flavor was good although there could have been a couple of more chicken pieces. Seating is pretty limited here and it could get crowded quickly during lunch. A nice alternative if you are tired of Subway subs

Saigon Bistro is a great place. It seems to be run by a couple and their son. My partner and I had the lemongrass pork Bahn Mi. We redeemed the egg roll and also ordered the Thai iced tea. It seems like they took awhile on the sandwiches to be made. Advice maybe order ahead. Egg roll was good. The Thai iced tea was a little bitter from the tea. Then the sandwiches came and those bad boys were real good. The amazing flavor combo that was going on in my mouth is something to appreciate. We will definitely come back for the Bahn Mi’s!

I had the Lemongrass Chicken Banh Mi and pork egg roll to-go. The sandwich was a notch or two low on the chicken but both items were very tasty! I had to wait over ten minutes which seemed a bit long to me. I would not plan on eating-in here due to the lack of tables. A couple walked in and was told there would be no tables for a while so they left.

This place has been open for about 2 weeks. They have smoothies, bubble tea, coffee, sandwiches, noodle dishes, and a few other items. I had the lemongrass beed sandwich and it was good. The cilantro and peppers gave it a nice taste. The owners were both nice and one used to work at solar world.
