I used to love Poshe. Julie did a good job on my haircuts and amazing color treatments. I have been coming here for years. I stopped getting my own hair done here after awhile, though, because I’d make an appointment, and invariably end up waiting 15 – 25 minutes every time. When a cut and color can take as long as 90 minutes, having to tack on another 25 minutes because they’ve overbooked is not cool. That got annoying. But I kept getting my son’s haircuts here because those haircuts are quick, and they do a better job than Great Clips, even though we still had the issue with them always being backed up, despite having made appointments.
Today, after YEARS of loyal business, never missing an appointment or even being late, and always tipping well (35% or more on a men’s haircut, because the cuts are very affordable, and they do a good job), we arrived 10 minutes late. Not one second more than 10 minutes. I rushed in the door, already apologizing. They had given our appointment away, without so much as a call to find out if we were en route. No call, no text, no grace for a loyal customer. To make matters worse the snotty receptionist (they’ve had a string of them) was snippy with me about it. Poshe, after years of business, and at this point having spent (all totaled) hours in your waiting room because you were overbooked, again, I’m really sorry you couldn’t allow us 10 minutes grace, or at least have your latest snotty receptionist give us a call or a text before giving away our appointment. We won’t be back.

Great keratin treatment and trim by My Lien! She is a true professional with very reasonable prices. I highly recommend her — I sent my mom here as well!

First off, it took about 5 phone calls back and forth, to book. And then they couldn’t tell me a price.
But I went to JULIE because I was happy with a previous hair cut from her, so I went back for a color. I asked for a root touch up and all over highlights as my hair is really becoming gray and I wanted to start going lighter (natural brunette) so the grow out line wouldn’t be so harsh. She talked me out of that and into all over brown. We spoke during the whole time that I do not have black hair, didn’t want black hair! I am a white girl and fair skin. I do not have black hair. I can do that at home with boxed color. «No no black, you have brunette hair»
Well not only was my hair Black, one shade black from the darkest you can go, but she dyed facial hair in front of my ears down to my ear lobes. What the heck???
I comment that it was too far down and she was giving me sideburns, «no worries!»
Well there it was… sideburns! I almost started crying. To add insult to injury when I said I had black hair and I specifically told her 10 time no black hair,
She then proceeded to tell me to come back next week for highlights and she would give me 10% off. So now my color with highlights would cost 200 and 2 trips!
I will never go back.
PS. I waited 3 weeks while washing with harsh shampoos to try and lighten the color, and went to Regis at Washington Square. Sabrina fixed my hair to its now brunette color with all over highlights. Amazing color! Save your money and go to Sabrina. If you don’t believe me, ask Sabrina about my hair. It was horrible.

Initially, I came to Poshe Salon and I only intended to get my eyelashes extension performed by MyLien just for a family wedding. However, they looked so real and natural that I keep doing the touch-​up every now and then. MyLien did a wonderful job and I was extremely pleased with the awesome results enhancing my eyes and the total look of my face. She even showed me how to properly take care of them. I have been receiving compliments from family, friends and even colleagues. Thank you, MyLien for being so talented and I highly recommend you to everyone who wants to look beautiful.

I went to this salon a couple days ago for my first time, and I definitely will be coming back. I got Lynn (hopefully I spelled that correctly) as my hairdresser, and she did a fantastic job! She cut my hair exactly how I wanted it, and also gave me some tips on how to better manage my hair. I had a great experience, and their prices are very affordable!

Desarae did a wonderful job on my hair, I would return to her anytime! My eyebrows were done by Tina and she did a great job on them. Then Tina also convinced me to get a mani/​pedi. I opted for the shellac/​gel manicure and three days later I have chips and it is peeling off in places! My previous shellac/​gel manicures from a different salon lasted so long that I actually could see how much my nail had grown (and there was no chipping or peeling). The polish on my toes (which is not shellac/​gel) looks better, but the sides and bottoms of my feet have jagged and really rough skin (like sandpaper) where Tina did not do a good enough job at smoothing out the dry/​rough skin.
$ 25 for a wash and cut +$ 10 tip
$ 10 for eyebrows
$ 10 for manicure extras (french tips and lines)
$ 50 for shellac/​gel manicure and normal pedicure
$ 10 tip because when I left everything looked great
Great for hair and waxing and maybe another technician can do a better job but I will not be returning for manicures or pedicures.

Hands down the WORST haircut I have ever had. The guy didn’t bother to wash my hair just sprayed it a few times with water (wasn’t even wet) then when I told him I wanted a TRIM less then an inch off since I’ve been desperately trying to grow it out, he started HACKING away at it. I had to hold back tears as I saw three inch pieces of my hair falling out. It is now more damaged, inches shorter and looks awful. Not to mention he spent less then fifteen minutes butchering my hair that I have spent months trying to grow out. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

I’ve been to Poshe salon recently to get some highlights and deep conditioning treatment. I’ve told Tony to not bleach and so he suggested a color. When it was done, I absolutely could see no color at all and it made my hair extremely dry!!! I was disappointed and called them the next day, Lily nicely offered me a free retouch and conditioning treatment. Even after the 2^nd time, there was no hint of a color and my hair has been the worst ever since! It is a waste of $ 115. I’m really disappointed!!!

I am coming for a hair cut here since last 1 year. I have tried Tony and Julie as my hair stylist. Tony has done a good job with my hair so far but I was not too happy with the highlights he did.
I had an appointment at 12:15 pm. I came 10 minutes before and waited for good 30 minutes. Finally Julie came and apologized for the wait time.
Now about my hair cut experience with her. She seemed confident and a warm person and took instructions well. She did cut my length bit more than expected as she wanted to give me summer look. I am satisfied that it went well and there was no drastic issue with my cut. It’s been a week now and my hair seems to set well.
I would like to go again to her for some highlights and for a hair cut.
Overall I find their pricing reasonable and she did a fine job too. I will update this review after getting another cut from her.
I will recommend Posche and Julie and Tony as impressive hair stylers!

I usually come to this salon for my hair. I had Julie do it last time and the cut was awful. She cut it very uneven and way too short. I like that you only pay $ 20 but I will be getting someone else or going to a different place next time I need my hair cut.
Also, I had Manh do my nails. She did an ok job but rushed me through my manicure barely saying a word to me. No hot towels to take off the hand lotion like my old salon. She barely let my nils dry and then shoved me out the door without any nail spray or setting the color in cold water… The end result looks ok. But the experience for my nails was not impressive. Probably going to try a different place for my nails in the future.

I’ve been going to Julie at Poshe for years now and completely trust her with my hair. She has done several cuts, color, and style for me and I have not been disappointed. Today I received a full color, highlight, and cut for around $ 150. Which is average for a full hair service. On average I spend less than $ 100 if I’m getting my usual brown highlights and cut. I am able discuss what I’m looking for and Julie always delivers. Julie’s technique in coloring and cut always grows out nicely for me and I can go for 6 or 7 months without a salon visit and it still looks nice. I always get great compliments about my hair and color!

Julie has been cutting my hair perfectly for almost seven years; I don’t dare try another stylist. She takes proper time and attention – I never feel rushed and am never displeased. Appointment scheduling online makes things very easy, and the staff at Poshe are very friendly and courteous. I drive from LO for haircuts – totally worth it!

Poshe is my go-​to salon for nails. Whether it be shellac or acrylic, I have never been unhappy with the result. I have had different specialists and not all of them are super upbeat and chatty but that doesn’t bother me. With that being said, Tina is the best! Super sweet lady and does a great job. She will definitely spark up a conversation. Highly recommend!

I loooooooooove Julie. She is my one and only stylist. I moved back and forth from Beaverton and Portland but what remained the same was my lovely stylist Julie! She is the best at cutting/​styling and dyeing. I have very black asian hair. It is very hard to lighten this kind of hair without making it red or orange. I have gone to different stylist from places in the pearl district and northwest portland but I never get the color right like Julie can. Julie can lighten my hair and give me the style I want without the Orange/​red tint. I always get compliments on my hair and its all because of her! She’s also honest with my hair and provides me feedback and what would look good on me. She knows all the right products to keep your hair shiny, healthy, volumize, and for the color to stay longer. Julie is seriously the best!

Trying to find a salon to cut my daughters hair. who is picky! I decided to schedule an appt with this salon since they are open Sundays, decent price list online and easy to get an appt. Upon arrival I noticed that the salon was very busy for a Sunday! The location is not big enough for them because of the people waiting for their service and the amount services being done.
Receptionist was very friendly and welcoming. Stylist was very nice also and asked a lot of questions and gave some opinions too.
The hair cut did come out well. but some area’s were not blended well with the layers so we had to go back to get that fixed. They were very nice and had no problems fixing it.
The only issue I had was the cost. Kids cuts are $ 14. but come with no wash. adding a wash brought the amount to $ 30! that is insane for a cut and wash for a kid. I am not sure we will be back for that reason.

This review is mainly based off a careless mistake with my credit card. I sent my three teenagers to get their haircut and brows waxed. The next day I asked my daughter for the receipt and seen a $ 1007 total and a $ 915 TIP. They fixed their very large mistake, kept their entire charge plus tip, and didn’t offer anything to make me want to EVER go back.

I love this place — specifically, I love Sheril. A coworker referred me to Sheril about 5 years ago, and she’s been cutting my hair ever since. Before that I went to chain hair cutting places, but I was looking to find «a person». Sheril is my person. At my very first appointment with her, I told her to do whatever she thought was best. She said I think an a-​line would look good with your face. I said I have no idea what that is, but by all means, go for it. And I’ve been getting compliments on my hair ever since!
Sheril only works on Saturdays, but the salon is open 7 days a week. It’s easy to get an appointment, very reasonably priced, never much of a wait, and parking is no problem. I’ve had to change an appointment before and that’s never an issue. There have been times when I’ve booked really early and it ends up Sheril needs that day off, they always call me right away so I can reschedule.
Now I feel like I need to update my Unilocal profile picture to how fabulous it looks on the day I get my hair cut. I’m too lazy to get it perfectly straightened most days!
