I’ve only had the sampler, but it is clear that Ron does good work… The meat was tender, juicy, and flavorful. Due to dietary restrictions (no dairy), I had some concerns over a few of the sides… but that’s true at most bbq places, too, so not unique to this place.
All in all, it’s worth checking out. Hillsboro isn’t that big, so it’s nice they have a few decent places available to choose from if you’re in the area.

Stopped by tonight with the family. The location is a bit out of the way, so we drove by it at first. But it was worth circling back. Tried the Sampler Platter and had one enormous rib, fall-​off-​the-​bone chicken leg, brisket, pulled pork, pulled chicken, and four sides. The meat was all tender, and the homemade sides (especially the cheesy potatoes) were all great. The service was exceptional. We will be back… hopefully soon.

Love the fries. The pulled pork is my first choice and always tastes good and fresh. The current Tuesday special is good too, yes it a cheeseburger, but it is a good cheeseburger, like I remember how my grandmother made them.

OMG probably the best BBQ I have had in a long time. Spoke w/​the owner Ron he took me in the back to see the smoker. The food is great and not expensive at all.

i came here for lunch. i will usually get pulled pork if i’m at a ribs place for lunch, and ribs for dinner. however, reading the menu, the description of the pulled pork was that ron mixes in his bbq sauce with the pulled pork. that’s a big no-​no in my book, and can be an indication of hiding lack of flavor in the meat itself. so i skipped the meat-​and-​sauce sandwich and ordered the ribs.
it appears the ribs had seasoning/​rub on them, but i detected no flavor on them whatsoever. the meat was tender, but again, detected no real smoke flavor. the sauces (2) were thinner than usual, but not necessarily a bad thing. the fries clearly were hand cut/​fried to order, and were good. the baked beans were unremarkable.
the service was excellent.
ron needs to work on his rub and smoking technique to infuse some flavor that comes with low and slow smoked meats.

Awesome BBQ yeah the green beans are out of a can but so what! The slaw baked beans collard greens corn bread are great the guy sure knows how to use that grill ribs are killer and BBQ SAUCE he should bottle that and sell it been there dozens of times yeah few times the beans or something are cold but I’m there for the BBQ the owners seem very nice I like there new location uptown better.

I got the shredded chicken sandwich and green beans. My bf and I were surprised how fast it came out but my sandwich wasn’t warm and neither were my green beans. The green beans were the French cut style out of a can. If they are going to serve canned green beans, at least «doctor» them up with bacon or spices. I wasn’t too impressed.
