I just purchased a glass quart(how cool!) of y’all’s 2% milk at Harris Teeter for our dinner tonight. Regretfully, it was completely rancid, though the date was 12⁄21: chunky, filmy, and foul. What a disappointment — have heard such wonderful things and was eager to try«real» dairy milk. Guess a trip to Hillsborough is in order to see how things taste without the middle man…

Delicious ice cream!!! This place is so picturesque that I could just sit in a rocking chair on the porch and enjoy the view. The ice cream is just a bonus! :) I really enjoyed the honey pecan ice cream. The waffle cones are also great. The view is fantastic! Take a drive out here. You won’t be disappointed!

These people know how to make milk, ice cream, and practically anything else that’s dairy! Plus they’re local. I would put it beyond them to make a bad quart of ice cream. Check: Service: Get at counter Food: Great Décor: Pretty Good Total: Best Ice Cream Ever Great

I’ve recently started buying their milk at Whole Foods, and it’s delicious. I’d stopped drinking much milk before discovering Maple View’s. The chocolate milk is perfect, halfway between a drink and a dessert. The 2% was too heavy for me, but the skim is right on – creamier than a normal skim for sure. I think the glass bottling really makes a big difference in the taste. That means you have to pay a bottle deposit but just bring back the empties. Haven’t been to the country store or tried their ice cream yet — those are on my list. Seasonal ice cream flavors look delish.
