Ann’s Beauty Salon

I have been going to this place since I was 13 years old now. I am now 13 + 14 years old. Basically, I go to Ann’s for eyebrows! Lissy is amazing, she does the best eyebrows. I’ve gone to several other places, when she goes on vacation and etc, but each time i come out unhappy. With Lissy i’m happy 99.9% of the time.
Eyebrows definitely get an A+, I do other waxing services as well from here, but not often. However, anything I get waxed Lissy, and the other lady both do a good job!
This salon is definitely not upscale, but that’s why I like it even more. Reasonable prices and just good quality work.
However, since Lissy is the only one that does eyebrows, you would have to wait a while. Peak times waiting is longer, even with an appointment. Usually, I go non peak hours and I’m in and out in 20 minutes.
Try this salon! Won’t be disappointed in your eyebrows!

Found this place on a wimb. I was getting a pedicure at another location whose prices
were too high for all services. I decided to Unilocal waxing and this Salon came up
with the best reviews and wad closest to my place. I called and made an appointment while I was driving there. 10 minutes later I walk in there is a line, but Lisis honored my appointment. She waxed my upper lip
and eyebrow quickly, gently, and precisely. I should of gotten my pedicure there. I would of saved $ 6. Next time I will. I have been living in the western suburbs now for 3 months and feel like I have found my new hair, waxing, and mani/​pedicure salon. The owner is super professional.
Note: this is not a fancy, she she place. This is an old school barber shop/​salon with skillful and talented technicians. My kind of place.

My «go-​to» eyebrow waxing place.
Nothing upscale, but if you are looking for some place you can trust not to mess up your face by giving you uneven/​unshapely brows, then this is the place. Perfectly shaped and even eyebrows EVERY TIME, but expect to shell out $ 10 plus a tip. Tried going to Sharda’s in Bloomingdale once because supposedly threading is more precise than waxing, but I ended up with uneven angry man eyebrows. Will definitely be sticking to Ann’s from now on!
I’ve also been getting my hair permanently straightened here at least once a year for the past 5 years. The last time it cost me about $ 175 (not including tip) and took about 4 hours. Comparatively to bigger named salons, the pricing is incredibly reasonable.
One thing to mention: during peak times expect for there to be a wait. This place has a its share of regular customers from the neighborhood and it is entirely run by one person, so it can get pretty busy!

Brows were beautiful! Too bad the woman that did them was rude and unfriendly. I walked in, it took at least a minute for the woman to acknowledge me and get off her cell phone. Then there was no conversation or anything while having them done. Oh… besides the constant conversation she was having on her cell phone that kept ringing. I think I got a «thank you» after I paid my money. Not sure though. *shrug*

Just got my eyebrows done here. Best eye brow waxing job I’ve gotten thus far!

I have been going to Lisi for about 7 years now. She is great!!! She is the only one that touches my eyebrows. Her shaping skills are fantastic. I always get complimented on my «killer» eyebrows. She does all kinds of waxing. Legs, underarms, bikini line, face, upper lip, chin, side burns, arms, toes, etc, etc, etc. She also offers hair cuts and facials. There are so many services that I feel I may be leaving one out. Her humble salon is no proof of how busy she is. She prefers appointments, but has been known to take a couple of people between appointments, although sometimes you wait for 90 minutes as a walk in. I suggest you let your eyebrows grow out for the best results. I have referred numerous friends to her. I hate to give her info out because now I feel I might wait longer for an appointment. =(Don’t forget your faithful customer Lisi!
