Holiday Inn Express & Suites Louisville South-Hillview

We were very pleased with our room. The price was appropriate. I appreciated the mini fridge and the microwave. Room was clean and the breakfast area was very nice. I would definitely stay here again.

Used hotel points to stay in their King Bed Suite. Very nice and clean. Clean breakfast bar. Coffee not that great, but the pancakes were tasty. Nice customer service.

A good option for business travel. My room was comfortable and the prices was very reasonable.
The first room I was given smelled like stale smoke, but they immediately moved me to a different room.

I stay in Louisville at least once a week and don’t usually stay at this hotel but definitely will in the future. Upon check in the staff member (I wish I could remember her name) explained exactly where everything I could need in the hotel would be. Once I got settled into my room she also called to make sure I had everything I needed.
I used the workout room and it’s a pretty typical hotel exercise area nothing to crazy but nice. They have water bottles for guests to take which was really convenient.
You also get 10% off your bill at the tumbleweed (which has awesome margaritas) if you show your hotel room.

I don’t know who the guy talked to that got a discount for being platinum status? I m platinum since 10 years and only stay in IHG properties if possible, I never got a discount for me status here neither.
We stayed here because we wanted a king bed and the one we found closer to Louisville didn’t have any available.
It’s cheap and clean.
Unfortunately it smells very strong like room spray. The artificial perfume odor is mind numbing even in the elevator.
They don’t seam to participate in a save the environment program, a lot of hotels of the IHG have signs in the bathroom that tell you how many gallons of water are used a day to wash towels and if you would like to avoid that you can hang your used towels up and so avoid them being washed. This doesn’t have that.
We left our room after checking in at 2 am around 12 pm and housekeeping didn’t make our bed or made up the room, well that’s kind of disappointing!

Not too bad. Not too good. I feel like a Holiday Inn Express is pretty reliable as being ok, it’s not going to knock your socks off but you probably wont get stabbed in your sleep either. So, inexpensive and decent place.

Since I arrived back in-​country in late December, I have stayed at IHG (Holiday Inns parent brand) properties nine times. We were torn about this property since it was so far from our actual destination (25 miles away), but the deciding factor was the company website that showed nothing but glowing reviews. From a visual perspective, things look great here. Wrong! Basic things were missing from our room. Upon taking a closer look, things like the toilet not being mounted (that was a scare), the remote was missing, uneven floor tiles with sharp edges near the tub (ouch!), and the mattresses that remind me of the things that barely passed in basic training with a loud plastic-​like liner that moans everytime one moves. We went to take our daughter for a walk around the hotel to get out that pre-​bedtime energy to find a large foldout caution sign inside the elevator. Pair that with the unknown white ooze coming out from under the washing machine in the guest laundry room and its no wonder we are one of a handful of guests here. Too bad the internet is slow enough to remind me of dialup (satelite internet) or I would have posted this review earlier.

lobby clean floor in the room seemed a little damp but probably because of the humidity. Price was right… all in all pretty standard for a HI-​E

This place was immaculate. Super clean, almost brand new everything, including — I swear — the sheets on the bed. The pillows were labeled for ease of selection ie: soft or firm — Oh, the choices! And that billboard that they put up about being voted as having the best showers… Ain’t no lie! Amazing!
The free breakfast left little to be desired, probably why I gave them only 4 stars. I am in the catering business though, and have a pretty picky palette when it comes to eating food from underneath heat lamps.
The price was reasonable, the staff friendly and I’m pretty sure the tv in the room had more stations than I get at home. If all Holiday Inn’s are like this… I’m sold.
