Been coming to HHI for over 20 years. This is one of the few places that has been around the entire time. I used to come here for great margaritas and great Mexican food(when you get sick of seafood). Was also always a great place to watch sports and had a great mix of families and fun seekers. The last several years we had stopped going because there are so many new restaurants on the island. This year we went back to some of our favorite seafood places, but I was feeling out of place. There was no atmosphere. All the restaurants were quiet or playing music from the 50’s and 60’s. I was ready to go to sleep after dinner. The third night in town we decided to stop at Aunt Chiladas. There were people at the bar out front, I could see hockey and basketball games on the tv’s and it was busy. We sat in the bar area with my 2 nineteen year olds, a 15 year old, and my wife. ITWASGREAT! The boys watched hockey and basketball, the girls enjoyed the music from the 80’s and 90’s, and we all enjoyed the great food and appetizers. The restaurant was ALIVE! It had a buzz. Great food ANDATMOSPHERE. I will be heading back again before we leave. The other places may have good food, but I don’t like to feel like I’m in a library or morgue. I will also say the service was great!

I got a carry out order on this visit, chili and wings. The chili was very good, but the wings were even better. I like spicy food, but not firebreathing. This had just the right amount of spice, worth the trip.

If the name makes you think you will get Mexican food you are thinking badly. The food tasted ok but not like any Mexican food I have ever had. Atmosphere fun, service good and lots of beer taps.

Dinner here last night. Happened to be crab night so decided to give it a whirl. 1 ¼ snow crab legs with red potatoes, sausage and corn on cob for $ 13. Initial bucket was cold to touch. Waitress returned quickly with hot legs. I always enjoy snow crab. Others in my group had fajitas-they looked very good– as well as pollo poblano(cheesilicious) and a burrito bowl. We had classic and skinny margaritas(better then classic) and the cheese cake burrito dessert. Everything was good. Not out of this world, but tasty.

Convenient location, fast service, and OK prices. Food was good but not good enough that we would be back.

Went there last night and hostess was acting like a NASA scientist and we were completely ignored while she was thinking of how to launch a rocket. Will not recommend this place and also they don’t have unlimited crab legs every night as per the hostess. We decided to eat at different restaurant

Excellent margaritas, queso, guacamole, and tacos. They also had a buffet with collard greens, hopping john, and pork for New Year’s Day which was a nice plus. Great service and nice big TVs make it a great place to watch a game as well. We will definitely be back!

My boyfriend and I spent a week on Hilton head Island and we came here to eat twice. The food was extremely good, the beer was cheap and a live entertainment was, well, entertaining! If we ever get back to the island we will definitely be back here.

Delicious guacamole and fun, well crafted tacos! We went for lunch and were happy to sit outside. Al a cart tacos are a fun pick. Two tacos were more than enough to eat. I recommend the avacado(vegetarian option) and pulled pork. It’s a great to to place and a short walk from the beach.

When you get over the lame wordplay(hahaha) in the restaurants name, you’ll find an actually nice place combining local seafood with traditional mexican influences. We enjoyed a dinner on the patio on a still warm novembernight with a two piece band playing and singing all kinds of songs. Inside it is more like a mexican themed sportsbar, but the bar and patio is really nice. My choice were the seafood enchiladas with loads of crabmeat and beans/rice on the side — a dish that was much better than I expected. Service was attentive and efficient. Overall we had a great night out.

We had a wonderful experience at Aunt Chiladas. Walked in at about 6:40. Seated at 6:50. Drink order taken in time for happy hour that ended at 7. Got our drinks and meal and were done eating by 7:40. Outside seating by the live music was a treat. Only complaint was lack of light at the tables as the sun set. Had to turn on phone’s flashlight to make sure I got all my shrimp and avocado from my salad. All 4 of us loved our margaritas and our dinners. And the live music was an unexpected pleasure.

Three of us came in and got the all you can eat crab legs. Quality varied a little bit, but most of them were delicious and sweet. They all came out hot and quickly too. Didn’t need butter. Crab legs came with a salad which was nothing(pile o lettuce, two tomatoes and some cheese.) And a side. Truffle tots were pretty good. We also got guacamole as a starter which was chunky although not spicy enough for me ! Waiter was in an exchange program from Romania and he was the sweetest. We’ve been here two or three times for the crab legs and we will probably be back next year !

We just stopped by the bar for a drink and to listen to the band. Nice night and it was a great place to stop. Can’t comment on the food since I didn’t eat but the tables around us all had the all you can eat crab legs and they all seemed to enjoy it.

Fine. Nothing too mentionable. I was slightly bored with the place, but I’m sure if something like the NBA playoffs or a football game were going on, it would liven up.

Absolutely awful! Service and food quality were very sub-par. Service was friendly in a forced kinda way. 3 out of 4 meals were less than halfway touched. Service was MIA as they were all sitting at the bar, unable to be coaxed over. When told of our unsatisfactory experience, the manager/owner whipped out a stack of $ 10 off your next meal cards at one of there sister restaurants and handed us one. Needless to say we left it on the table. Not offering us any apology or understanding. We paid our bill and even left a very generous 8−10% tip. 30 minutes later my stomach turned and I was sick. Which really prompted me to right this review. Not how I’d planned on spending my vacation day! There are far better restaurants on HHI. Never ever ever again!

I have been coming to HHI for many years and have wanted to try this place. I am glad I visited finally. On Tuesday’s they have a crab special that is appealing if you like crab. I had the Chimichanga with spicy beef which is really good in addition to the Buffalo Chicken Taco. My wife had steamed shrimp and grilled wings. The shrimp was delicious, while the wings although good, crispy and had the sauce cooked into them, were a little dryer then what she is used to. My Daughter had the Crab Legs and ate every last bite of them. They were very fresh and very good. My son had the kiddy Hot Dog and liked it as well. Happy Hour begins at 6pm and is $ 1 off drinks. I had the Jalapeño Margarita, it actually has a whole Jalapeño in the margarita and it does give it a little extra zip. They have a nice gimmick where they give you 250 cent pieces to represent the $ 1 off. My daughter found that pretty cool. You will want to get to Aunt Chiladas around 5/5:30. If you wait until 6pm you will encounter a wait. If you are looking for a good place you should check out Aunt Chiladas. We will be back ourselves.

Party of six — we called ahead and got reservations which made the experience easier. The sizzling fajitas were really good, flavorful and hot. The roasted garlic potatoes are really good, probably some of the best I have had. The Italian Margaritas are amazing! We came at happy hour and got coins back on our drink prices. The only reasons why we didn’t give them a five star rating was the queso cheese came out cold and solid. The menu stated it had jalapeños in it however there wasn’t any so the queso was bland. At the end of our dining experience our bills were incorrect so we asked the server to correct it but even after correcting a second time it was still wrong.

We’ve been going to AC for the crab legs for years and absolutely love them! We started years ago searching for the best crab legs on the island… and we found them! Never had a Mexican dish there but all you can eat crab legs are delish! Our server was friendly, attentive and kept the crab legs coming. Margaritas were awesome!
