Nice cool and breezy spot to get out of the sun and grab a drink and bite. The place was staffed by only 2, so I expect if it was busier the wait could be long, but we had no problems. Draft beer, small but okay selection, and mixed drinks. The bartender was friendly and the food was hot, prices good. What more can you ask for steps from the beach? Apparently Ohio State fans but we can forgive that with enough tequila.

Neat place, horrible service. Loved playing sand volleyball. Beers were cold. Neat environs. Good music. The manager needs to open his eyes and see the need for another bartender; the bar is big enough for two tenders. Would also be wise to do what other bars do and open up a sort of «express line» selling just Corona’s and Bud Light. Would be a gold mine. Still, we’d go back.

Friendly bartender, who was great to talk to and kind enough to give us suggestions for affordable restaurants in Hilton Head. Good drinks, and reasonably priced for being on the beach. Very conveniently located while staying at Hilton Head Resort.

Cool little bar on the beach… Cold drinks and good burgers. Agree that service is slow… but no hurries /no worries on island time!

We were staying literally next door to Coco’s, and decided to pop in for a few drinks. We could see that they had been dead all day, since our patio overlooked it. We walked up and saw the sign said they closed at 6. We were there at 545. The guy behind the bar was a total dick and says that we were«too close to closing». There were 3 of us. We could’ve easily doubled their total sales for the day in 15 – 20 minutes. I’ll never stop back in here.

Fun place for drinks and snacks. The service was good and the environment is great. It is always fun to step right off the beach and have some drinks, snacks, and enjoy the view.

Great atmosphere and even better drinks. Walking in, you’re immediately transported to a place that’s fun, relaxing and off the grid. It’s the perfect place to disconnect. For drinks, Coco Can’t Drive is as potent as is it good. Wish we could have stayed all day!

Too much to say. This place wouldn’t have business if it didn’t have a secure monopoly on the market. Positives: the food was good and the atmosphere is nice. Negatives: twenty minutes to order, hour wait for food, everyone’s order was wrong, our friends’ two orders were just never made, and no compensation for anything. Unfortunately we won’t be back :-(

Was here this past Friday during the afternoon. Waited 45 – 50 minutes for mozz sticks, chicken fingers and some fries. Seriously that is all fried food… I do not know why it took so long. Drinks were good but the service was SOOOOO S L O W!

Just left. Cancelled our order for 3 dogs and 1 fry. Waited an hour. Bartender tried to give me $ 12 instead of $ 16. Then reached into the tip jar and threw the money at me. Last night our friends and I spent well over $ 100. Hire better help

Great place for something quick to eat off the beach or even just to grab a beer. The bar tender had a great personality and it’s the kind of family environment that brings the beach alive. Every one is relaxed and enjoyable. Prices are decent too. The beach decorations are roomy getting enough to make you want to stay.

Great little hangout on the beach; laid back atmosphere. Burgers and dogs are delish. Food took a while and you have to order at the bar. Would be great if they had someone to wait tables. Good experience overall.

Fun little hang out spot right on the beach! Live music occasionally and mixed drinks, where you can watch the waves & sunset.

food was good. Drinks were good. Easy to find. View is beautiful! I recommend the Black and Blue burger and the mild wings. There’s no seafood on the menu, just bar food but after a couple of drinks it won’t matter. The Smirnoff lemonades are fantastic.

Service was terrible. If I was the owner of this place, I would have fired the cook on the spot for his tone with the customer. Went for the atmosphere and hamburgers based on a recommendation. Worked hard to find it, paid $ 5 to park to be reimbursed on food, and a long(scenic) walk to get there. Great beach atmosphere. Stood in line to order, the three people in my group ahead of me all ordered hamburgers, and when it was my turn, I was told they just ran out of hamburgers, at 1:00pm on a weekday. I rolled with it an ordered two chicken sandwiches and two orders of fries. My friends food came out first, three delicious looking half pound burgers and a basket of fries each. They were three fourths done when my food was called. My order only came with one basket of fries. So I waited again to get someone’s attention for my second basket of fries. The bartender had to confirm my order, went to talk with the cook, and said my two fries were combined onto one basket. Seeing our disappointment, the bartender was going to make it right and get a second basket when the cook came out with some angry words to us that we should be able to tell it is a double order. The chicken sandwich was not good. It was some skinny little piece of meat, much smaller than the bun, when the burgers were these giant half pound sandwiches. Very disappointed in my experience.

Hard to find. Flies everywhere. Burger, very greasy. Hot sauce, 1 ½ years expired. Beer, eh. Overly sweet mixed drink. Fries come with hair. Crab meat questionable. Positive: bartender friendly, but smoking behind the bar. Not a table service restaurant — just a snack bar. The walk along boardwalk through nature preserve was lovely.

You know what? I originally ranked this place a two, but after my third trip, I’m upgrading to a 4. PLEASEKEEPINMIND — This place is what it is, and does not strive to be anything more: it’s is a very nice place to just hang out after some time on the beach… It’s completely self-serve, so if there are a lot of people, be prepared to wait in a long line. Like most places I’ve experienced on the island, Coco’s would benefit from another employee(in their case a second bartender), but once you get your drink, this is an excellent place to just chill. ANDTHEFOOD is AWESOME. Best burger I’ve had in a long time! Several varieties, and they come with some nice tangy cole-slaw. They also have pickles from Tony Packo’s(M*A*S*H fans will know this). The Peanut Butter Burger is especially good. So, to sum up — if you’ve got some time to kill, and need a place to chill, Coco’s is the place for you.

A friend and I decided to find Coco’s for an after dinner drink on the beach. I parked at Hilton Head Resort and walked about a half mile from the parking lot over the marsh boardwalk to the bar. Nice walk if your up for it. When we got there, we found a funky little beach bar that doesn’t have an ocean view. People were smoking cigarettes and cigars. No live music. This is a good stop if you are walking or biking on the beach or if you are golfing next door and want to climb through the fence for a quick pop. It’s not a good spot to enjoy a nightcap with an ocean view.

Coco’s carried us away! This place doesn’t feel like Hilton Head. With all the SUVs loaded down with kids from the suburbs clogging the highways craving chicken fingers at «family» restaurants, Coco’s was a welcome escape. On a random Monday afternoon, when the sun was too hot and the beach too crowded, we googled«best ocean view bar Hilton Head» and Coco’s came up. The establishment was true to its word. It’s tough to find Coco’s…tucked away off the boardwalk where marsh meets sand dunes. We had to pay the security guard at Hilton Head Resort a parking fee of $ 5 to access Coco’s parking lot. Security gave us our pass, plus a VIP bracelet which serves as a $ 5 credit at the bar. Then we had to walk ¼ mile down the boardwalk over the marshes to get to Coco’s on the Beach. The trek was worth it. Coco’s is a cute beach stand straight out of a Jimmy Buffet song. The beer was cold, food was hot, and service was sweet. We had a pitcher of Longboard ale, fried pickles, and mozzarella sticks — all were great but the bill came to $ 40 with tax & tip(even after the $ 5 credit). Minus one star for being slightly overpriced, but hey, Coco’s sits on prime Hilton Head real estate. We’ll be back here next time we’re on the island and need an afternoon getaway.
