My husband and I visited here today. It is really such a nice and very clean facility. Animals are well take care of. We didn’t find a anything today though there were a lot of precious dogs there. I did like one it was pending. But I won’t give up. We will be back every week to see what they have. Staff is very nice.

As you enter HHHA, you can notice there is a certain level of comfort being experienced by the inhabitants. Typically, when I have been at other shelters or humane societies, the dogs seem to be very on edge, with a bark that is vying for attention.
My dog suffers from a severe of case separation anxiety (unprofessionally diagnosed by yours truly) and the staff at HHHA really worked hard to pick a proper pal for my dog.
My inclination was to get a dog of similar size and breed and a male, as opposed to another female. These ideas were echoed with approval from my Vet and the dog behavioral specialist that I use.
I just felt some of the other animal adoption locations were really more interested in getting a dog adopted, which I totally understand and focused less on the proper match. The workers at HHHA encouraged me to not have tunnel vision regarding what my thoughts were, in relation to breed, gender and age. Each time I stopped by, they assisted and encouraged me to make use of the fenced in greeting area, where the dogs could spend time to get to check each other out
To date I have not found the right fit, so the search continues. There was a a little wiener dog (German Daschund named Ruby) that Sydney really took a liking to and we went back to visit many times, but Ruby was about 10 pounds Max & was seemingly always under toe. My dog is a 95 pound, all muscle, exceptional klutz.
This review will be updated once the new addition to the family is added, fortunately the location the adoption will take place is already settled. Clean, stress free, Very Professional and work simultaneously on behalf of the dogs and the potential owners.
