You can find just about anything at this Whole foods store. From delicious freshly baked pizza to Dr Bronners organic soup. If its not, they will get in for you and they will call you when item arrives. That’s what I call 5 stars customer service! The only reason I am giving only 4 stars is the fact that their prices have gone trough the roof. Not sure why

Went in at 1030am and there was barely any food in the hot bar. What was left was old and gross, it looked terrible. We asked an employee walking by if more food was coming out, she had no idea and was no help at all. Will not go back.

I live between this WF and the Willowbrook one, so I’ve been going to one or the other depending on what other errands I’m doing. I’ve had enough somewhat subpar experiences at the Willowbrook location to where I’m going to try to do my shopping solely at the Hinsdale location from now on. The staff is nice at both locations; it’s the foods that are just made a bit better at Hinsdale. Edit 12÷30÷15: Now that the Willowbrook location has expanded and I don’t buy the same items I used to, I end up going to the Willowbrook location all of the time. They have a better selection now.

«Ray», my fishmonger at Hinsdale WF today removed the tiny bones from the fresh wild salmon I purchased without me even asking him, just because I mentioned they were for a dinner party. How wonderful! Thank you Sam! Saved me a step today. :)

Overpriced, over hyped, and even a fowl smell to add to the experience, are you kidding me really double for everything? Just don’t understand why people would shop here other than for a couple of specialty items but for basic staples give me a break there is no way that a bottle of generic ginger ale should cost double or triple what you would find anywhere else. Of course that’s just an example.

Great fresh food is the best thing about this place. It’s pricy but you do get your money’s worth. They literally have everything one could want to eat and the freshest produce. Absolutely love this place!

Employees are some of the nicest people I’ve ever meet in my life. Incredible customer service! I read some negative reviews and am quite surprised. If you’re not pleased with anything, customer service will take care of it and will go out of their way for you. Happened to me on a handful of occasions. if something doesn’t look right, tell them. A+

The really nice thing about this Whole Foods is that it’s directly on the way home from Midway Airport. It’s just a stone’s throw from 294, making it really easy to get my grocery shopping out of the way after dropping friends at the airport. The store layout was nice and the store itself is pretty big. The aisles were a bit on the really narrow side(I don’t know why they always seem to be that way) and I didn’t like how long they were(usually most grocery stores have 2-section aisles, these were 3). Selection-wise, seems to be much the same as the Naperville location. They didn’t have the one cereal type I really like, which I found odd because it’s 365 brand, but I can live. Vegan options weren’t hidden away like in some other WF stores, which was a bonus. Vegan cheeze in the dairy aisle just makes plain old sense to me! The hot bar was also pretty nice, with much the same options as I see in Naperville. Parking was simple and easy, but I was there on a Sunday evening, so not exactly a busy time. I can see this place getting rather crowded on a busy Saturday or Sunday.

The best selection for vegan and vegetarian food. They have herbal medicines for any ailment and an excellent organic produce section.

I have had two bad experiences at the meat counter of this Whole Foods store. Both times involved the workers behind the meat counter when I had a special request. I had asked if they pound chicken breasts. The response was an unenthusiastic«we can.» And they were done very poorly. I have just started using their meat counter services but I believe I will go back to my meat market.

My review focuses on their prepared food items. I work near here and have found this to be a good option for take-out at lunchtime. They have a modest amount of seating inside as well as a couple of patio tables outside if you want to eat al fresco.(I actually can’t say I’ve ever seen anyone outside, for what it’s worth.) My go-to here in warm weather months is sushi, which is made fresh daily(and most likely on-demand at mealtime if you aren’t in a big hurry). I’ve had a variety of Maki rolls as well as Nigiri here, and have enjoyed most everything. They typically have a weekly special which knocks a dollar or two off of a pack of Maki rolls. With the special, you can end up with a filling lunch for $ 8 or $ 9. When it’s colder outside, I tend to choose a slice of pizza. They’ve typically got three or four varieties of pizza sliced and ready to serve. A single slice [generously portioned] is typically enough food for lunch and is priced at around $ 4. That’s one of the cheapest Hinsdale lunches I’ve found. Some of my friends are big fans of the salad bar here, but I have no personal experience with it. They also have a variety of prepared salads, panini and other lunch-appropriate offerings. Finally, the parking lot can get crowded at times. There is nearby street parking available on Bob O Link Dr. facing West.

By far my favorite Whole Foods location in Chicagoland. I’ve been to many of them and this one takes the cake. The staff here are all super helpful, even to the point of walking you to the very item it is that you are looking for. They have never once been out of something that I needed. Despite having a pretty small parking lot for a Whole Foods, I always seem to find a place to park, even at noon on a Saturday. They always seem to be having some kind of grilling demonstration going on outside during the summer, and the people that they choose to have work their employee-manned stations, are the EXACT people you would want coming into contact with your customers… very happy, willing to chat, and helpful. I honestly cant think of one thing that this store is not doing correctly. Major thumbs up!!!

I love whole foods! I really wish shopping here didn’t put such a huge dent in my wallet. This is my favorite location to run to in the middle of the week. I can always zip in and out and I’ve never had to wait in line. Maybe I’m just lucky. The deli staff is really friendly and fast! I feel like this deli is smaller than other locations though. I can’t tell if I’m imagining that or not. My only complaint is the moms that completely ignore their children as they allow them to wander around with small carts. I swear you will see me on the news one night for pushing a small child down.

I only really stop in here for the occasional purchase of meat, cheese, produce or baked goods, so I am definitely not a regular at this store. That said, my irregular visits have been met with consistently good purchases but a mixed bag as far as the customer service goes. There may be something in the water in the employee lounge here, because the staff are either super duper friendly or crazy ragey angry. Sadly, my few encounters with hostile staff people linger in my mind moreso than the pleasant ones. Had a run in with a particularly disgruntled staffer restocking the pears this weekend.. .. . why so crabby, pear man? Sheesh. Despite this, I will continue to pop in for the occasional purchase — my wallet can’t handle more than that.

I love Whole Foods… just not THIS Whole Foods. I went in to get 1 item. There was a register that was open, and the light was on. I put my 1 item on the belt. The cashier apparently had gone over to another line and taken another customer’s groceries to check out in her line. I was unaware. When the cashier saw me standing there with my tiny little ONEITEM on the belt, she started acting like I was stealing or cutting in line or something. No. I did not know you were bringing another customer over with a HUGE order. The cashier repeats«I’m soooo sorry.» to the other customer over and over and OVER again. Finally, I told her to just ring the big order up. «No, that’s ok. You only have one thing.» Then again with the«I’M SOOOSORRY!!!» to the woman. Then she basically threw my change and receipt in my face, and started ringing the other woman up. I love it when stores take my money and treat me like crap. Thanks for making me feel like a cheap whore Whole Foods Hinsdale! Never ever going back here.

This Whole Foods location has improved greatly over the past few years. It’s still not as big and with the space and offerings of the normal style stores, and it likely can’t be due to surroundings and space. But they’ve got most everything I ever need. It’s not the cheapest– but convenience matters, and Doms/Jewel are lesser quality on most products and nearly as expensive. I don’t go to a grocery store to «eat” — I go to buy groceries to cook at home. So to those that whine about the hot bar, salad, etc– here’s a tip: go to a restaurant if you want that food/service! By far the friendliest workers of any WF I visit– most have worked there for years.

Difficult to find anything to complain about when you visit any Whole Foods. The people that work there seem to truly love their jobs, always happy, friendly, and helpful. My experience has always been a positive one. My interaction with the place is mostly lunch-related. As it is for many other people. So I recommend if you are going to grocery shop, do so pre-lunch hours or post lunch hours, just so that you don’t have to deal with the crowded lines and parking lot. Otherwise, my staples at this place consist of the Chunky Granola Flax mix, slices of pizza are always delicious, and the fresh salad bar has many good options. I also like to swing by to fulfill my daily recommended consumption of fresh fruits all cleaned and chopped up in nice little containers by the produce section. If you check in on Unilocal, you can receive a free small reusable tote bag, perfect for carrying out your lunch items.

Worst WF I have been to in my lifetime. It’s hard to get into the parking lot from the East, but that’s not their problem. Parking lot was oddly setup, out of three items I wanted that other WF have, and some lady cut me off in the parking lot! All in all, head to another WF if you’re looking for specialty items!

UGH… I come here several times a week and I get amazing service until I get to the meat department and the woman that works that department is there and then my happy shopping turns into me being afraid of her and me being upset with receiving bad customer service. I truly can say that I stand there and wish that she won’t help me. Her demeanor and attitude is horrific. It’s me and my husband and a little toddler at home. When they don’t have single drumsticks in the freezer, every other butcher there is happy to split up one of the multipacks, but her… OMG she did it, but I had to ask her to do it instead of the other guys who offer to do it and she was so angry to do it as she stomped away to the back to split the pack. Sorry I don’t have a family of 5 to feed, but it’s your job mam’ and I didn’t ask you to do anything out of the scope of your job, LOSE the attitude. I know her name and out of courtesy and respect for this store that I really used to genuinely like shopping at, I will not call her out by name … I think I will stick with Willowbrook or Wheaton from now on… so sad

Grocery store is fine. Staff are friendly and helpful. Not fond of their hot food choices during dinner time(Schaumburg is way better meal choices). Seating area to eat is ok. I’ll go back if I need to shop, but not really to sit down and eat.
