Hoboken Oral Surgery Group

I had an Mucous Cyst taken out and treated by Dr. Quiñones a couple of months ago. He was very thorough with the surgery, answered all my questions, and asked me to come back for my autopsy results in a few days after.
I had a difficult time booking a follow-​up appointment with the receptionists because Dr. Quiñones is rarely in the Hoboken office so I decided to follow-​up with Dr. Scalia instead (a week after my surgery). During my follow-​up visit, my results were not out at the time, so the doctor assured me that the office will reach out to me via phone to tell me the results. Months past and I’ve followed-​up with the office multiple times on the phone. Each time I called, I received the same «we are not in THAT office today, I will have someone get back you, tomorrow». The receptionist and I must have very different perceptions of «tomorrow» is because I have never heard back from the office.
In addition, the office insisted that I pay during the day of my surgery for my co-​pay and surgery fees because they’ve reached out to my insurance company and know «about-​how-​much-​I-​was-​supposed to pay.» I received a break down from my insurance company a week after my surgery and it turns out, the receptionist charged me 50% more than what my bill was supposed to be. I called the office again and they assured me that I would receive a check from the office in 4 – 5 weeks after my surgery. It’s been more than 2.5 months. Where is that check? Where is my autopsy?
Ridiculous. Not to mention. Rude. I regret ever contacting this place.

I had just about every possible procedure done by Dr Scalia and others Drs in this office (I’ve got Eastern European teeth — what can you do), and I would recommend this office to anyone. I had extractions, implants, apicoectomy, you name it; some of the procedures were with others in this office who have since moved on, but most were with Dr Scalia. He is easy to talk to, personable, explains everything in detail, and generally very friendly and doesn’t treat you like you’re a car in a car shop. Importantly, I don’t have to worry about the billing: it’s done by the book, in contrast to too many dentists who did «balance-​billing» on me in this town: there’s none of that nonsense here. Staff is very good and attentive, as well. If I had to pick a mild gripe to round off the review it is that a couple times I had to wait more than I would like in the waiting area, but overall I’m quite happy with this office

I had one wisdom tooth extracted by Dr Scalia. This was my first time needing any kind of oral surgery. He was knowledgeable, friendly and experienced. He explained what would happen, and then did the procedure quickly and painlessly. The staff was helpful, the facility is clean and pleasant, and the experience was good.
