Love stopping by Urban Consign and Design whenever I’m downtown. The selection of furniture and décor is just beautiful and it’s so much fun to see what’s new each time we go. They also have gorgeous upcycled lighting that is so unique and well crafted. Paul is a lot of fun to talk to and makes a great host. Revival vintage is around the corner and the two stores compliment each other nicely!

Excellent store of well-edited and well-priced collection of industrial and mid-century furnishings and home décor. A real treasure in a town with an incoming population of people looking to set roots and beautify their homes but still overrun with transients and college kids who live on assembly required furniture. Such a relief to find this place right here in Hoboken after walking thorough all the regular places like Pottery Barn and Crate and Barrel. Owner Paul was great to deal with — friendly and gets back you fast with answers to any questions. He also knows his furniture and is easy to talk to. While chatting about the two awesome mid century chairs I bought I found out he does custom pieces and is appearing on a future episode of Flea Market Flip. Legit craftsman. Definitely worth a trip to check out what they have to add some serious style to your home.

Paul’s shop is really a gem here in Hoboken. With such a transient community and beautifully decorated homes in the area, you really can find some wonderful things here with character and value without breaking the bank(never pay retail!) He has also established a homey feel in the shop and is always very welcoming to guests. It’s a must see if you’re furniture shopping in the area!

My only regret is that I was moving out of the area when I found Urban Consign & Design. I stopped in with a friend and ended up spending a few hours looking around and talking to the owner, who is extremely friendly and helpful. The shop is full of unique, incredible pieces and, while they may not be cheap, they certainly don’t seem to be over-priced for their quality. While I was taken aback simply by how visually stunning(yet practical) most of the furniture is, my friend(who works in carpentry) was constantly pointing out the excellent craftsmanship, as well. If you want a beautiful piece of furniture to be the centerpiece of a room, head to Urban Consign & Design. The delivery van is great, too.

Love this place! Whether you’re looking to buy a one-of-a-kind custom piece or just need some inspiration to redecorate your home — be sure to stop by Urban Design. Paul(the owner) is incredibly helpful and has a great story behind nearly every piece… I secretly want to be his apprentice one day :-) Nearly everything here is simply stunning. It’s not always cheap, but as Paul says — it’s consignment, so make an offer! You have nothing to lose.

Absolutely obsessed with this place. Each and every piece is unique, timeless, high quality, and gorgeous. My boyfriend and I stopped in on a whim and we found the perfect accent chair(after an endless search online that wasn’t turning up any even decent options) and couldn’t be happier with how it fits in with the look and feel of the apt. The owners are so friendly and helpful and made shopping at Urban Consign & Design an even better experience. Highly recommend, even if you’re not looking for something specific. Such a fun shop with so many great pieces. I honestly can’t wait to go back!

If you are looking for design inspiration to do up your home and some truly one-of-a-kind furniture and home décor finds, this is a great place to start. Really loved some of the lamps and smaller pieces of furniture and definitely plan to go back and look around a bit more. The prices range from $ 300 for a lamp to $ 350+ for some of the smaller tables and accessories. They also have a great collection of vintage photographs and art. The owner Paul is really friendly and doesn’t mind if your browse around to your heart’s content. Definitely worth a visit. Also note, everything is Final Sale.

Great shop. I would love to work in this loft all day. I am sure the owners would prefer we bought something while there, but we really just enjoyed checking out all they had to offer. The inventory was mostly higher end items. The owners truly have a good eye, and know how to price things. There are also items that are more affordable, and aren’t necessarily«pieces.» So whether you are looking for that unique, hard to find item or just need a new couch, I think this place is good spot to check out. I exchanged some emails with them regarding consigning furniture with them, but have not actually gone through the whole process. I will refrain from reviewing that part of their business for now. Either way, check out their shop.
