Crummy in all the best ways. Open late. Chill environment. Cool old games!

Dark, dirty, felt like I needed a shower after leaving. At least ¹⁄₃ the machines were offline and the rest of them seemed poorly maintained. Total bust.

This place was a disappointment. It was dark and poorly lit. Half of the machines were powered down. The ones that were running were in poor repair.

Great nostalgic games from the 80sand 90s. Most everything is a quarter. Original Pong, Pac Man, Star Wars, Tron, Frogger, Kung Fu. Great times! My kids love it here.

A killer place to kill time and reminisce of the good ‘ol days. Most games are 25 cents, a few are 50 cents. They have all of the old goodies: Donkey Kong, The Simpsons, Street Fighter, really cool pin ball machines, you name it. I’m usually one of the oldest people in there, which is kind of cool because the younger generations are getting their experience with the games we all loved so much. Being older is even cooler because there’s a really sweet bar right above the arcade that they can’t get in to — neener, neener, neener!

My wife and I came here tonight as part of our date night. We had fun playing real arcade games. While cool this place had some issues for me. The place was filthy. The place smelled very badly. There did not appear to be any employees to answer questions or make change. And probably ¼ of the games weren’t in working order. I had fun. I will probably return. But I was not impressed.

Blast from the past!
I was so surprised as to how many games they were able to fit into such a small space, but needless to say I’m glad they did.
They had everything I remember playing as a kid (minus The Ninja Turtles) and everything is just a quarter. I’m definitely going back!
Beware that it can get quite warm inside if you go on a hot day and your mad gaming skills are causing you to break sweat, if that’s the case I recommend bringing a sweatband.

I’m writing an update to my review for this place as I recently visited again and was actually able to get in. This is place is really cool. Lots of old school games, all for a quarter a piece (pinball is 50 cents). They have a good variety, and the owner is a real nice guy. I’ll be stopping in on occasion whenever I’m in town.
The reason this gets 4 stars instead of 5 is because there are a lot of out of order machines in there. I’d say close to 25% of them aren’t working. I know the owner is working hard to get them all up and running, but as is, it’s sad to see some of my favorites not functioning.

Across the street from El Chihuahua, Nielsen’s Frozen Custard and A Bar Named Sue and downstairs from Cruzer’s, Atomic Arcade is everything I’ve been looking for. A trip down memory lane with prices to match. This place is so much fun. My wife spent hours on Dr. Mario and I was like a kid in… well his local arcade. I had the good pleasure to play some great games from my youth and!

I absolutely love this place.
I grew up playing on all the classic arcade games in gas stations, supermarkets, and regular old arcades. It’s been a bummer to see them essentially disappear, but Chris at the Atomic Arcade has brought back all my old favorites, like the Simpsons, NFL Blitz, Spy Hunter, Dr Mario, Galaga, and my personal favorite Frogger, among dozens of others.
The arcade itself has a really relaxed and friendly atmosphere, so anyone from families to couples on date night can come in at almost any time and have some fun. The games are set to classic prices-​a quarter for most games, 50 cents for pinball and foosball-​so you can hang out for hours without spending a whole lot. They do a good job of maintaining their machines, too-it’s rare to find a machine malfunctioning for too long, and if you have a quarter eaten you can just talk to the attendant.
There’s an additional perk for adult gamers-it’s directly below Cruzrs Saloon, and across the street from a Bar Named Sue. This convenience has helped me prove once and for all that I can actually make progress in Battletoads, if I have enough Southern Comfort in my system.
This has become my new hangout spot, and I urge to head on down if you like fun and happiness.

This place is pretty cool. It’s a throwback to the glory days of 1980’s video arcades and it nails it in ever aspect. There are stools so you can rest your weary back during marathon, hours-​long, games of Asteroids or Ms. Pac Man. They have nearly all the classics, from Donkey Kong and Frogger, Stunt Cycle and Off Road.
The best part of Atomic Arcade is that the games actually work. They’re all in great working condition. They don’t steal your quarters and the joysticks (haha, that’s a funny word) actually control the action in all 4 directions. Karate Champ is the one exception… it didn’t work very well.
The place is also clean, which is another big plus.

Kind of a sausage fest (which I guess shouldn’t be surprising) but they have a great selection of classic arcade games and no kids screaming/​running around. Look forward to giving them a try, just wish they had room for an air-​hocky table. Free parking lot, relatively clean inside. However, prices are quarter-​based, making me think this is more expensive than Nicklecade.

I goddamn love Galaga.
…and seeing I really missed my first go-​around with arcade games in my youth, it is very cool to have this place here in SLC.
Run by a fellow who finally found a space to put all of the uprights, tabletops, and pinballs machines that he had been collecting for years and years, you can see the passion and the love that the owner has for these arcade games just by watching the care taken to restore them to their former glory.
Here’s a few of the games you wet your joystick — err, so to speak — Donkey Kong, Pac-​man, Ms. Pac-​man, Dr. Mario, Frogger, Tron (Original and Disc), 1942, Star Trek, The Simpsons, Q-​bert, Asteroids, and the list goes on and on.
All of the arcade games are a quarter to play, with the pinball machines at 50c. There’s no entry fees here, and no tickets to win lame prizes, and the noise level is nothing compared to some of the other arcade type places around the valley.
Atomic is good clean fun, and you too could say goodbye to a few hours of your time playing Galaga and wishing that you had discovered it twenty years ago.

I read where a guy said playing games at home versus an arcade is like watching movies at home versus a theater; you gotta go to the arcade for the full experience. I’m old enough to remember the arcades in the 80s. Tonight I took my 5 year old son to experience it at Atomic Arcade. This arcade has quite a few more games than I thought and they are in good shape! There are a lot of games there. I briefly talked with the owner and I could tell how passionate he is about what he is doing. Take your kids and introduce them to your childhood!

To hell with you whipper snappers and your newfangled Terminator Salvation give me the cutting edge Super Mario Bros, no screw that give me the original Mario Bros. That is the game I want to play.
I have been by here several times and today decided to stop in. I think I died and went to video game heaven. Inside what did my eyes see but Cruisin USA, Pac Man, Hogans Alley (yes Hogan’s Alley), Asteroids, and Tempest to name just a few. I dropped about 3 bucks in an hour and had a blast. The ONLY reason I didn’t give them 5 stars is because they had a section of games that were not running yet. After playing some of the games I realize how out of shape my forearms are. I am going to need to train. I think I will go and masturbate the homeless that way I can build my arms to play games AND give back to the community.

Wow. This place makes my pants rise.

Today’s youth culture is missing out on one of the greatest social activities and hang-​outs every invented. Fortunately, Atomic Arcade is here. Plenty of classic games, in great condition. It’s about time an arcade operator comes around who really cares about the games and the players.

Ms. Pacman, Dig Dug, Pengo, Asteroids, Original Tron, Donkey Kong Defender, Berserk and so so many others. I am in heaven! All games are 25 cents but to be taken back to my childhood, it is worth every cent. Thank you for opening a place that brings back the child in me. And you don’t have to feel creepy like at other places. I suggest all adults from the 80’s come relive all there favorite classic arcade games.

Atomic Arcade is an awesome collection of old-​school games. they are 25 cents a game but it’s so worth it! great way to spend an hour or two!
