Grace Nail Salon

Grace nails and spa is a great clean place. Some of the staff is friendly and others are non smiling robots who spend way to much time having long conversations in spanish. would have given them five stars but the wait is to long. Right now as I write this review it is 7am and I am trying to get there to be the 1^st person today.

They are trying SOOO hard to be great but ambiance, location and skill level of the staff will prevent them from ever getting there!
Tucked into the heart of Hollis Queens is this nail salon with a mix of young, old, loud ratchet, professional — did i mention LOUD clientele. The staff is asian and a group of them are only certified to do your basic mani/​pedi while a select 4 or 5 sit at constantly whirring drill machines doing an endless supply of the more complicated uv gel, acrylic tips etc.
There is one lady in there responsible for the Instagram Designs however the other staff are just not as skilled in designing or able to really create. They have a dizzying array of gel nail colors. however they will push you to get a full set, and they nickle and dime everything and attempt to upsell you.
They can do coffin nails (or ballerina nails) they do all types of tips in all types of shapes. They also are game to try to replicate a photo — but it doesn’t quite work. They get 3 stars for positive attitudes, overall friendliness and the willingness to try hard. However they loose 2 stars for the LOUD ratchet crowd, the lack of overall polish and the inability of all but one person to really turn out an amazing nail design.
Cost? Average for the area, some things are cheaper than others. For a full set of acrylic tip coffin shaped nails + gel color + design you will be set back $ 50.00.

Honestly, I would not recommend this salon to anyone. The service was horrible, the nail technician who did my pedicure rushed through the process. I’m not understanding why she was rushing when business was really slow. If the owner was here I definitely would’ve complained.

Staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. The salon and the equipment appears to be clean. Great service.
