It took me 3 years to take my oncologist’s advice to try acupuncture after a health issue caused nerve damage the length of the left side of my body that left me with chronic tingling, deep pain and constricted muscles when I exercised. I am so glad I did and feel I couldn’t have found a more compassionate, dedicated person than Dr. Barry to help me on a path to healing. From the very first needle he placed in my body, there was immediate relief. I’ve been receiving treatment for a few months now and the only way to describe how I feel is whole again. The 20 minutes you are left in the room is the perfect way to unwind and meditate, too, which is an added bonus. If you’ve been advised to try acupuncture for your health issue and are hesitant, don’t be. It’s a completely natural way to heal that feels like a miracle, and Dr. Barry puts you at ease right away. Hollister is very lucky to have him in the community.

Love Dr. Barry! He is so caring and attentive, I feel like I’m his only patient of the day every visit. He has helped me so much with my infertility issues. Still no baby, but after doing acupuncture with him, my hormone levels improved the very first cycle and my doctor did not think that was possible! Now they’ve improved more each time I’ve gotten my blood-​work done, so I’m going to get to do the procedure that my doctor had previously said I wasn’t a good candidate for now, all because of Dr Barry! My other friend has also gone to him for persistent headaches and anxiety and she says she feels like a different person, she can’t believe how much it’s helped. It is weird how it works, but I just know it works and I think it’s because Dr Barry really knows what he’s doing!!!
Only reason for 4 stars is he’s only open on Tuesdays and Thursdays. So I just wish there were more options for appointments.
