If I could only find a way to replace my blood with the delicious hot coffee from Audrey’s Café

I like the idea of this place… a quiet sanctuary from the craziness of Hollywood Blvd. But it falls so short. For one, the food sucks. I ordered a Chicken Caesar salad and the chicken was like the kind they use at Subway: processed, bleached white, slimy, tasteless. And, for some reason, half of the chicken was hot and half of it was cold. The other big bummer are the people that seem to just hang around there all day: sketchy kids with dogs out front smoking cigarettes, the big fat guy that just sits there and watches everybody come and go, and the people that lurk in the corners and just buy a cup of coffee and never leave. If they cleaned the place up and got rid of some of the sketchy people and improved the menu, I’d go there every day. But as it is now, I won’t be going back.

Bummer, I was really looking forward to a fluffy ham and cheese croissant today(ive gotten these here before)… came in, asked for the regular but for some reason the person behind the counter looked extra puzzled and could not submit the order. A solid 5 minutes later my «custom» order of a ham and cheese croissant was on the way… I waited and waited and waited… and waited. Got the croissant to go, great! Get in the car open the package and what do i see? What looks like a a super hard, flat, semi burnt panini. The opposite of fluffy. Sad day. I went back into Café Audrey and explained this wasnt what i ordered, getting anyone to understand what i wanted was impossible, im guessing new staff? Refund was the easiest way out of that but wait… something is wrong with the system and they cant find the order. Whatever, got a little glare from the guy behind the counter but everyone else was nice enough. Got my cash back and left hungry. This place seriously needs more employees… everything takes light years(people around me were also waiting around for one thing or another). Cool spot otherwise, seems like a nice place to work from or meet a lil friend for coffee.

I came into this Café on Sunday afternoon while waiting for my Bike to get repaired around the corner, I stood at the Counter for 5 minutes and never saw a single employee. I was really excited to try their coffee, and enjoy one of their outdoor seats; I thoroughly enjoy the combination of People Watching & Drinking Coffee. After waiting at the counter for 5 minutes, I went and used their Bathroom. I returned to the Counter and waited for another several minutes, unfortunately no one ever came to help me. I left unsatisfied, and thirsty…

Convenient and great ambiance. The core of the café missed the mark. Mediocre coffee & food makes it easy to not be back. Sorry guys. Please stay focused on what the kitchen is putting out & the taste & temperature of the coffee and I’ll be back!

we stumbled into here on our blvd hunt for a quick healthy-ish meal before hitting club avalon on halloween saturday — made the kitchen food cut-off by mere minutes a little before 8. i think this was my first B rated establishment meal! poor café audrey, such a cute lil place to be burned with that scarlet«B» on their door. liked the décor, live pianist on keyboard playing ambient tunes, food selection(paninis, sandwiches, wraps, salads, etc). didnt like that it took extremely long to get our food. staff was apologetic but we were the only people there and it was just a wrap and 2 salads ordered(i want to say it took 20 mins). also didn’t like that the food was mediocre on top of that and not exactly cheap(about $ 10 for the wrap– even though menu listed it around $ 7 which must be the lunch price(cashier just sorta shrugged saying thats what the register entered it as… meaning he had absolutely no idea about their menu). specialty salads are roughly $ 10 too, but definitely a decent portion. got the Mediterranean wrap that was«ok.» the pickle inside of it added a weird«fishy» element to it and i ended up taking out. the asian chicken salad was tasty but wasnt informed that it had already been dressed with an added huge dressing on the side. perhaps my bad for assuming it meant the dressing was on the side for us to put on. ended up putting double, if not more, on it because on that, and pretty much self-ruined the best aspect of the meal. we only found this out because the chef came out to ask how everything was, which was nice. would have been nice if the server mentioned it was just extra when he brought it out :-/ cute place, filled our needs at the time but not really looking to go back.

My roommate and I were REALLY excited to come here. Our favorite movie is Breakfast at Tiffany’s, so naturally we were completely overjoyed to find such a café existed. However… we definitely won’t be back. First of all, this place got a «B» rating(the ones that they have to post on the outside of the restaurant). I’ve only seen a handful of B’s in LA, and that to me is a disgusting mess of «red flag». Nevermind the skeezy guys(not one, or two, but THREE) whistling at us as we walked in(there was definitely a «DAMN girl» thrown in there too), nevermind the cheesy zebra rug painted onto the floor, and nevermind the disgustingly tacky halloween decorations. All of those can be forgiven. I’m really not one to care too much about the service I get at places. I’ve worked a lot of retail, and I like to cut people a break. But the girl making the coffee was not only REALLY unfriendly(bordering on straight up rude), but she messed up my drink order. Aaaand, I ordered a decaf coffee. Simple enough, right? I had to repeat it twice because the first time, she asked what I wanted while the steamer of the espresso machine was on, and then she looked super annoyed at me when she couldn’t hear me. Oh, I’m sorry. You asked. Again, I’d like a decaf coffee, room for cream please. And then I get an iced coffee, which was about ¾ ice, 1⁄8 coffee, and 1⁄8 glass. Um… ok. For some reason I didn’t feel like annoying her further, so I shut up and drank my iced coffee, which was good. My roommate’s latte was fine, but nothing to write home about. When my roommate asked if she could have a glass of water(also twice), the girl annoyingly tapped the water tank sitting to the left of the espresso machine. She didn’t say anything — just tapped it, and rolled her eyes. Really? Audrey wouldn’t approve. Also, this place really isn’t a «hidden gem» off of Hollywood Blvd like promised. It’s just as skeezy, hot, and touristy as everything else in our neighborhood. The only thing that saves it from a 1 star review is the comfortable, cozy seating area(although it was hot and stuffy, so we didn’t want to stay for long) Overall, no thanks.

What a TREAT just off of the Hollywood strip! I am a very big Audrey fan, and my husband, knowing this, stumbled upon Café Audrey here on Unilocal. We had some time to kill inbetween our church services in Sun Valley, and needed something to eat. It was a surprise for me, and once seeing the name, I turned to him in utter shock! Just walking in was such a wonderful experience! The service was SO friendly as she took our order and made comments about how we picked her favorite sandwich! We ordered and split the Turkey Avocado on Rosemary Bread, and devoured it. The salad that came along with it was delicious and fresh as well! Being off of caffeine, I steered away and had a Stash lemon ginger hot tea while my husband had his regular, a Vanilla Latte. He said he favored it! Mine was hot and just as tasty as I expected. The fans blowing and the portraits of Audrey made for such a wonderful ambience that I could have stayed there all day if we had the time. Were we closer, I would be a regular :) Audrey would have loved the décor and feel of this café. Bravo!

First of all I should say that I didnt have the food here, and from the looks of the place, it didnt look like I made a bad choice with not eating here. YES, its a very cute place, they get excellent remarks for the décor on the walls, but the furniture is super run down and needs new stuff. We got drinks while we were there, the iced coffee was terrible, my friend got an iced mocha, equally terrible. the service is not good, and im being nice here! the lady working there was NOT pleasant, looked unhappy and almost gassy at all times. serious attitude adjustment is needed because this place, as cute as it is on the outside, lost 2 more customeres.

Café Audrey was at one time, my most FAVORITE place to eat in Hollywood. But ever since the new owner took over, things have gone downhill. The place has lost one of the things that was so special about it, it’s delicious variety of soups and paninis. So it pains me to write even a remotely scathing review about my former favorite hang out. Sorry for the length… I used to come into Café Audrey at least once a week to get the lunch special of a panini with soup or a salad while doing my homework. I got a panini and soup just the other day and it was atrocious! The bread is different, they no longer have provolone cheese(and haven’t since the new owner came) and the clam chowder soup was Campbell’s(but somehow tasted even worse). My latte somehow ended up equally bland and disgusting. After taking a few bites, I had to get my money back and leave. I also noticed that the display case was totally sparse, as opposed to the usual array of delicious deserts and other goods it had under the prior ownership. The cookies looked stale and as though you could buy them at Ralph’s in a container. Needless to say, I don’t go out to eat so I can pay for canned soup. They also ran out of amaretto syrup for my latte(they also ran out of another syrup before), so it seems like things aren’t stocked very well anymore. The atmosphere has also changed. When I went, there were very few customers and I’ve heard(and witnessed) the new owner chasing people off. All the regular customers are gone and I was told 5 employees quit since the new management. Another sad thing is that the new owner decided to cancel the Open Mic Night on Wednesday and Friday. This was often something everyone enjoyed and many people attended. Needless to say, I left the café completely depressed and downtrodden. I don’t think I have any reason to go back unless things change for the better. Despite the lovely interior, Café Audrey has lost its charm and appeal and is simply no longer the same. I can only hope someone comes along to make it what it once was.

Ooh la la! This place’s cuteness is bursting at the seams. Long-time Audrey Hepburn idolizer that I am, I almost died when I found out this place existed. Then I almost died again, for an entirely different reason, when I found out it was on Hollywood Blvd. Gag. Anyhow, I finally mustered up the courage to maul through the flocks of tourists to land myself inside this little hole-in-the-wall. Thank goodness it’s not actually on the Blvd. — rather, it’s on Las Palmas — even though for some reason their address seems to read differently. Had it actually been on said street, I’m sure this place would be inundated with camera-touting tourists. Cringe. To think such a perfect place would be infested with the like. Positive thoughts, positive thoughts. It was actually rather empty, so I was able to spend a lazy Thursday afternoon sipping an iced coffee on a lovely little couch inside. The baristas were super sweet and happy to satisfy my caffeine needs. Not sure if this was intentional, but both of them actually resembled the café namesake herself. Selective hiring? Fine by me, it makes the place all the more charming. Aside from the location, this spot is pretty sweet. I’d recommend you stop in for a visit, but I kinda wanna keep it my little secret, if that’s alright with you.

Café Audrey is so small and discreet, you could easily miss it if you weren’t looking for it. The décor is very cute, with its ode to Audrey Hepburn artwork and French style. I actually haven’t tried the coffee yet but the bread and pastries are out of this world! It has a coffee shop vibe but don’t be fooled, the food is very good. I’ve had delicious soups, salads and sandwiches. The soups come with little toasts and the sandwiches are all on incredible bread. The tuna curry melt was very good with tiny bits of sweet apple inside. I also really enjoyed the chicken pesto though the garlic was a bit intense. All of the soups I’ve tried are incredible although not always piping hot. Overall the food is fresh, delicious and made pretty quickly. Order at the counter and they’ll bring it to you. It’s an intimate and affordable respite from the hustle and bustle of Hollywood!

Great coffee. Have to up it to 5*! Can’t say enough about their croissant sandwiches. Probably the best I’ve ever had. Something so simple is often easily messed up by soggy bread but they manage to keep the bread dry and firm on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The swiss cheese tastes like it fell off a wagon from Interlochen and the ham and egg make the perfect threesome. All for $ 5.50 why would anyone ever go to McDonald’s if you live near here.

Café Audrey is definitely one of a kind themed-café that is the cutest café EVER! If you like Audrey Hepburn(I mean. who doesn’t love Audrey!!!), then check out this place. You will Love! I am going to focus more about the décor because that’s what the café is all about. There is literally Audrey all over. Inside, Outside… Real Audrey, Cartoon Audrey… There is even a mini stage above the cashier where I am sure people perform at times! Make sure to look above to see the stage, which I thought was adorable. Overall, the café is very artsy & there were a lot of hipsters visiting this spot. Now to the food. I only tried two sandwiches before heading out to the Hollywood Bowl, and they were both good. Curry sandwich was better than the mushroom sandwich. It was definitely a ‘different’ sandwich, but I recommend it if you are daring like myself! I do have to warn people about the parking… Oh, how I circled that place around and around!

This place has so much potential. It’s a shame the people working here are a little on the rude side and that the coffee isn’t that great. Atmosphere is definitely around a 3.5, selection is about a solid 3, and the crowd(surprisingly cozy and not packed on a Friday night in Hollywood) seems to be mostly local, which is definitely a 4 in my book. The baked goods were a disaster(avoid the cookies they taste like drywall), but at least they carry some of that yummy Numi brand Organic Teas. Prices were more than fair, and the lady that runs the open mic night on Fridays is adorable. Had to kill some time before a screening tonight and came in to read the paper and whatnot. Saw that they closed at 9PM, but after open mic night… at 8:41PM, the lady behind the counter told us they were closed and that we had to leave…20 minutes before their closing time??? I thought that was rude as we were just finishing up our tea and coffee… SO, I don’t quite think I’ll be frequenting this place too often, but it’s nice to know that they’re there. I’ll be glad to come in when there are people with better manners working the counter.

Who wouldn’t love a whole café dedicate to the lovely Audrey Hepburn? I mean the décor is mostly stunning photos of the gorgeous woman and I think most of us don’t mind gazing on that site, whether it’s in admiration or envy or a mixture of the two. When you throw in ample seating and super friendly service as well as free Wi-Fi and refreshing drinks I’m sold on this little café. While I’m normally a coffee drinker we swung by here late enough in the day that I had already had plenty of hot caffeine so I tried the special of the day — pomegranate iced tea. So yummy! It was a green tea with pomegranate syrup and I probably could drink 3 in a sitting. We didn’t try any of the snacks since we had come from lunch, but if you do find yourself a bit peckish when here they had an assortment of sandwiches and baked goods to choose from.

I don’t have to tell anyone how bizarre Hollywood is. But in the midst of all the craziness there’s this tiny gem of a café, fully devoted to every girl’s heroine, Audrey Hepburn. I ducked in here for a couple of hours before a meeting with Katie B and Tiffany C and was instantly charmed. The space is tiny but there were plenty of tables available on a Friday afternoon. I ordered a rose tea at the counter from two friendly, funny cashiers who had a good laugh at my expense when I asked«How does the Honey Bush taste?»(It was a kind of tea they offered. I have no clue how I always manage to say the most awkward and inappropriate thing possible at any given moment.) If I was hungrier I would have selected one of the croissant sandwiches or yummy looking pastries available. The cheapskate in me really liked that they offered 50% off day olds as well. Wow, that sounded really, really cheap — but it’s true. My only complaint was the lack of outlets in a place that’s so perfect for getting some work done. I spotted a couple by the front door but they were by some awkward theater chairs instead of the comfy booths and tables where I had set up. So come with a fully charged laptop… or better yet, just a good book or a girlfriend for some pleasant conversation. I say girlfriend because the place feels distinctly feminine, although there were quite a few male customers who seemed to be perfectly at home. So come one, come all, boy or girl, to this adorable café!

After reading about this café on Unilocal i realllly wanted to try it out — AUDREYHEPBURN! the restaurant is actually a lot smaller than i had imagined. but the decorations are very chic & artistic~ main colors of black+white plus small & large portraits of the lovely audrey:] we ordered paninis, i think i got the curry chicken which comes with salad too~ the food was okay but the atmosphere and cute B&W cushions made the sitting area really comfy ! i think this café would be nicer to go to at night maybe ~ with dark lights which gives more of a mystery ambient feel :] the bathroom !!! super cute ! a quote written backwards so we can read its reflection in the mirror !!! loved it ^^ i would say this is a good place for afternoon tea or a pastry snack & coffee instead of a meal :]

For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others; for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness; and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone. Audrey Hepburn That is the quote you read in the ladies restroom when looking in the mirror I found this place on Unilocal and FYI it is just off of Hollywood Blvd but it is fairly easy to figure out if you look and the address. When I came here yesterday I was just planning on finding a place for some food what I didn’t know was it was all about Audrey Hepburn which is my all time favorite actress and I have seen all of her movies. This café is cute… kind of French like with a bit of an edge I had the veggie breakfast burrito… they actually have two, one denver and one southwest. I had the Southwest because I like things spicy. Their ice tea is green tea and that is what I drink at home so I was happy they had that too. They have croissant sandwiches, panini’s and all look delicious. There was only 2 of us inside the café and we were both alone but that woman not girl just yapped yapped and yapped about nothing on her cell phone the whole time… it was soooo annoying. I wish they had a no cell phone rule here. I wanted to say, «move your bloomin arse» oh that was a scene in My Fair Lady. Oh they have a happy hour from 3 – 6 where you can get a cookie and coffee with refills for $ 2.

Alex C– Hey I haven’t taken you to eat for your birthday yet Pauline C– Uhh that was 2 months ago Alex C– Yeaaaaaaaa That’s how I remember, or perhaps, imagine it went down. Long story short, my highschool *cough Yearbook cough* buddy takes me out for lunch(yes, I was a yearbook dweeb) for a very belated bday. Of course, I have to Unilocal for something near our work which both happen to be in Hollywood. Wait. Wtf, there’s a Audrey Hepburn theme café about a mile off and I’ve never been there before? I love her! Pauline C– I want to go to there! The café itself is simply adorable. Audrey Hepburns face is all over the wall to the left, as you enter the black and white themed café, but not in a scary stalker way. I mean, who knew such a cute, quiet, RELAXING place existed in the heart of such a busy and chaotic place? The café itself is semi filled with book readers, people enjoying quiet conversation over coffee, and passerby stopping off for a quick coffee. Oh, and tourists who somehow stumbled upon it, busily snapping away photos-get the hell away from me! Now for the real review. The enchilada soup, as Alex will say, tastes like a freaking enchilada! The Italian wedding soup was good though nothing remarkable, though the bread paired with it was nutty and delicious. The goat cheese salad was also delicious. The dried cranberries, apples, goat cheese, walnuts paired perfectly with a bunch of leafy greens. Next time, I’ll have to try the paninis. DON’T COMEHEREITSUCKS, ITBELONGSTOME!!! Okokok fine that was my weak attempt to keep this place a secret. Please?
