Smelled bad. No air flow in venue. Staff was not too friendly, inviting or helpful. Full security frisk to enter(understandable). Sound and lights were good. Band was dope. But didn’t make up for uncomfortable venue. WARNING: TOALLTHEFELLOWVAPERS. The untrained security guard almost made me throw out my vape until his boss came by and informed him i just have to empty my e juice from my tank… I go to smoking sections to vape and treat it as smoking and follow those basic coomon courtesies. Yet smoking is allowed Not trying to be that guy. But as an ex smoker that’s fxxxing stupid. Beers were $ 15 for 16 oz… and a small selection.

RYAN C. KEENE is the WORST merch seller i have encountered in 10 yrs of doing shows. He makes the venue look bad; especially his buddy that wears a New Found Glory shirt. He should be fired immediately.

Been here twice before… pretty decent venue… floor is flat so if you aren’t tall you might suffer… or you can just push yourself to the front… smaller so you can always be close to the band which is a good thing. Some dumb policies tho… at the bar they won’t even give you a water bottle, they’ll empty it into a cup… which at the end of the day you can just throw the cup with a lil water in it for the same effect so feel free… Oh yeah and mid show some chick comes to the front of the stage and sells, yup… water bottles… nice to know there’s someone who can think things through. It’s General admission so it’s a cluster fook. Other than the usual problems at these events it’s a cool place…

First time here on 1÷30÷16 for Excision! The line to get in was insane. Took forever they need to get that handled better. We got there at 8:30pm and didn’t get inside till a little after 11pm. Once inside it was great! The stage and sound was amazing. Huge place and huge dance floor! It was sold out venue with about 4,500 people. Next time I go hopefully the security and line goes a lot smoother. They were very uncoordinated

I really like this venue since you can always see the stage no matter where you stand, except sometimes the line to get in can be slow. It gets really hot in here so bring a fan! I’ve been here like three times, mostly for BassRush events. ALWAYS. BRING. A. FAN. Or else you will feel like you cannot breathe, especially if you are short or average height. Tall people are lucky because their heads can reach the air T__T

As a last minute Christmas gift from a friend, we were invited to join him for the Chris Brown concert last Friday night here at the Palladium. We had VIP tickets which included: valet parking and special entry on El Centro Ave. No waiting in lines-It was extremely easy for us to valet, receive our VIP wristband and then enter the special bar area. Our hostess then walked us around the long lines and through the crowd of people, upstairs to our VIP table #14. It was perfect because the lounge-like couches were huge and because the table next to us wasn’t reserved, and being located along the aisle only meant double the dancing real estate, if needed. VIP was awesome because we didn’t have to wait in long lines and had the luxury of sitting down whenever we wanted. Our server arrived shortly to take our drink orders. Although ordering a bottle seemed very enticing, it wasn’t that great of a deal versus ordering doubles all night. Along with a full bar, they also offer an appetizer like food menu. My friend ordered the nachos, which worked as a good base because after that it was drinks all night! The sound quality was pretty good, for an enclosed venue. When Chris Brown finally got on around 10−1015p the venue was packed and everyone was ready to party! I would have to say, the only downfall is that it got really hot at one point and crowds of people in hot areas is not a good mix. If your someone that gets hot easily, being upstairs probably won’t work for you. Here’s where it gets good… I actually left my cellphone at our VIP table and when we realized it was left behind… When we called Palladium they said it was turned into the Lost & Found. For that I am forever grateful, because anyone could have stole it especially being the holiday season. It’s nice to know that there are still honest people out there. So the following night we headed back to the venue to pick up my phone. The manager on duty was a complete Beezy, and said I couldn’t pick up phone because they had a private event going on and were going to be too busy to assist me. That didn’t make sense?!! So when I arrived to pick up my phone, it was hassle free-that manager(Maria?) was crazy and probably stressed out about the event. At the end of it all, our first visit to the Hollywood Palladium went smoothly and I was able to retrieve my iPhone6 that was left behind which is a huge plus for me.

I thought that the Palladium was not the greatest. You run into the normal problems, like $ 20 for parking in their parking lot(avoid…there are other lots), expensive drinks, and no free water from the bar(but at least there are water fountains), BUT you usually experience these at every venue. Here I ran into other problems. The acoustics were good, and it wasn’t as ear-splittingly loud as I thought it would be… I was a bit surprised because the event was Basscon, which features some of the most hard hitting genres of electronic music. If you like lasers, you will be disappointed. The last Basscon at NOS practically melted my face off with its amazing laser capacity, but at the Palladium they really fell short. It’s probably better for smaller, more intimate shows. The layout they have is a little weird. If you are interested in seeing who is on the stage at all, you better be front and center or in the elevated part in the back. When I went to the sides, it was difficult to see what was happening onstage. They opened up the doors on the balconies for smoking/outdoor areas, which was nice to get away from the gross humidity inside. One whole balcony was reserved for VIP, and the other side was for GA. The VIP section wasn’t closely monitored near the end of the night, so I went up there to meet with friends that paid for VIP. There wasn’t much benefit to them besides having that whole balcony to themselves away from the sweaty masses. I also bought tickets from the box office to try and avoid fees. My friend had called and said they wouldn’t have fees, but when I purchased them I only saved about $ 3, which means the venue itself must have been taking fees and not the third party ticket seller. The ticket line was also not efficient at all, and the one guy in charge spent almost 40 minutes on the woman ahead of me who was trying to find disabled seating. When he finally helped me out he told me they didn’t sell VIP tickets, and that they were unable to upgrade the GA to VIP later on. Lo and behold, on show day…“Upgrade to VIP” is clearly on the letterboard above the ticket office. Really, I should have just bought them online to avoid all that hassle. I enjoyed myself, but because of the music. It definitely would have been much better at a different venue.

Good times Hollywood Palladium, that’s wsup. +I’ve been here few times for EDM events like Above & Beyond’s TATW, Kaskade, Armin’s ASOT, Ferry Corsten, etc. All great times. :) +Let’s talk about the venue a little bit. Usually parking is always available for events inside the parking lot at the Palladium for $ 20 but street parking is also available and also across the street. +I don’t remember how much Palladium charges for drinks but they don’t skimp on the alcohol. +Dance floor at the 1st floor is very spacious and when you’re fed up with the crowd and your legs are numb and becoming jello, then you can go to upper floor and sit/stand around with your friends. +I think the performance is based on the artist but Palladium shoots confetti and amazing laser light shows and all that good stuff to make the performance more lively. +Outside smoke patio available. –I just hate how Palladium uncap your water bottle and serves it to you. Uh, how can I close my water bottle & dance the night away freely if I don’t have the bottle cap? It’ll just spill more water and make a mess… MAKESNOSENSEDUDE.

A nice venue to hold a good concert. I’ve been here a few times to see Kaskade, Snoop Dogg and The Iration + The Green. As you can see, perfect for any type of music you’re into. The venue is pretty huge and I love how there’s 2 big bathrooms. Well played! Never have to wait too long for a stall and things can get ugly in bathroom lines. When you walk in there’s the floor level(again very spacious) and then you can go up some stairs to the upper level. You get a good view of the stage no matter where you are inside and if you need a smoke break or just some fresh air there’s a big outdoor patio on the second level. BTW when you order mixed drinks inside, they offer a single or double… Get the double! More for your money and quick to get you on a good buzz. We spent so much money at the bar outside on the patio because they only offered the singles.

Came here to see Big Sean and thought it was a great venue. The security was fast and there were lots of bars with pretty short lines.

Reason why I love this Venue is because it is small and big all the the same time if that even makes sense… You can choose to be crowned and suffocated in the pit or have more room toward the back of the floor. I’ve seen people such as 1975, Young the giant, The Neighborhood, Atmosphere and just recently Big Sean. I love that many different genres come to this venue and the prices are fairly cheap depending on the performer. One downside is waiting in line before going in the line usually ends up wrapping around the entire building and even if ticket says doors open at 8:00pm it’s more like 8:30pm.

Great venue for concerts. We attended the concert of CC Catch and Bad Boys Blue. It’s an 80’s band. Still sounds great! They put up a great show. We had an awesome time. There’s Back patio for smokers and an extra bar.

Not my favorite venue in Los Angeles. I don’t particularly like the area and you better be ready to stand up for long time. And if you are short you won’t see anything because of the way the stage is set up. The acoustics are okay. They do have a step up to a slightly higher level towards the back of the room that is nice to stand on if you can’t see anything on the regular level. I also appreciate the size. Not too big but not tiny either. You may be able to find metered parking nearby to save money, but don’t bank on this. We were able to find $ 10 parking very close which I think is a good deal for a concert.

I was here for a punk rock concert. It was so much fun. I loved it. There was a lounge room with a bar downstairs. We also went up to the mezzanine to get another view of the concert. During the concert, when I was up front by the stage, I saw the staff helping a guy in a wheelchair who was crowd surfing. Yes, I said a guy in a wheelchair was crowd surfing. The Palladium is awesome.

The reviews are mixed for the Palladium. I’ve heard about some crazy shows and happenings here, but I’ve never really had a bad experience the few times I’ve gone to a concert. It’s a general admission venue with a ballroom-like space. Simple ambiance is provided with overhead chandeliers adding to the structure’s curvature along the balconies. But the tinted lights will make it impossible to take a decent picture with your phone or even a point-and-shoot(granted they’re allowed in). While many people like to be closer to the action at the stage, I prefer to get a bird’s eye view from the non-VIP balcony(left side facing the front). It’s still standing room only, but at least there’s room to breathe and rails to lean on. I haven’t purchased anything from the numerous bars, but one of the events I went to had open bar throughout the evening, which was a surprising treat. Even with that, at the end of the night, people filed out in an orderly fashion. I don’t have a problem with the Palladium; I think the biggest issue is parking given its location(paid lots are all around, but sometimes you can get lucky with street parking). Lines go quickly and the sound isn’t bad, so the shows I’ve gone to have been all right. Just be careful about the spilled drinks on their wooden floor, which give a high probability of slippage.

This venue sucks! I’ve never had a good experience but last night topped the other 3 times I’ve been here for all time suckiness! Why? Because not only did the sound completely suck but people everywhere were puking and people were being carried away to get medical attention. If you’re gonna have a concert during a heatwave and you plan on selling people alcohol you better crank up the AC and give people water!!! Unless you want people to die and for you to get sued. Clearly it also looked like there were drunk kids there as well. So much for their super strict guidelines. They’re too worried about pens and sprays. Not only was it nasty standing near a huge puddle of puke in a hot hallway but when I found the entire bathroom flooded too it was enough to make me wanna hurl. The only saving grace was the staff which consisted of some pretty cute guys. However it left me with a bad taste in my mouth which just reconfirmed why I hate going to this place. The only time I go is when I get comped and that’s the only way anyone will ever get me to go back here. It will still have to be an amazing line up like Alice in chains or Meshugguh with Gojira(hey what a show that would be) or forget it. Thumbs down!

Awesome venue. Funny, how I haven’t been to this venue until now. It’s so nice and spacious. I would love to come here for a DJ set. There’s room onthe dance floor. Room to walk around without people pushing and shoving to walk by. I look forward to future possibilities to attending events at the Palladium!

I watched the«concert of my life» here in Hollywood Palladium. Rage Against The Machine reunion in 2010. After being in hiatus for a couple of years. RATM decided to come together and play a show.(which eventually stringed into a series of gigs that year ending in coachella i think) I was living in Boston at that time and flew on a whim with the persuasion of my friend. Literally stayed in LA overnight, flew in the day of the gig, watched it. went to Roscoes, went back to the airport and called it a day. My flight ticket was more expensive than the actual concert ticket(WHICHSOLDOUTIN5MINUTESONLINE) Show was WILD. I have been to a lot of gigs and literally played thousands in all sorts of venues but i have never been to one where the people literally felt like a wave moving as on organism and where you have to gasp for air by sticking your neck out. My friend thought he was gonna die that day. Not funny but one for a memorable experience. Venue is mid sized. can accommodate about 1000 – 1500 people i believe. Great venue for mid-level artists who do not pack venues like Staples Center or any kind of arena type place. Parking is available across, behind or on the street, There are paying lots, probably $ 5. or something. Venue sounds good! probably because RATM had a kickass live sound engineer doing their show that day.

This is one of my favorite places to watch my favorite artists. The venue is relatively small holding around 4,000 people. Since the renovation and reopening in 2008 I’ve been here several times and I’m always impressed with the great sound and history of this venue. The Paladium has been here since the 1940’s and has had some of the greatest artists in music history perform here. From Frank Sinatra, Jimmy Hendrix, Stevie Wonder to Jay Z. How cool is that?! Seeing as that this is a smaller venue, there really isn’t a bad view to the stage and the sound is terrific. I think the reason why this place has such great sound is largely due to the venue being small and enclosed with a large wooden dance floor. I’m no sound engineer, but I’ll tell you this is a winning combo for great sound! Did I forget to mention that you will also feel closer to your fav artist because the venue is smaller? That coupled with the great sound equals awesome experience! The only thing that sucks is that there is no seating on the floor which means you’ll be standing the whole time while others consistently bump into you. Talk about frustrating! Hopefully you’ve been doing your leg squats coupled with a chill pill so that this isn’t an issue. If your wallet is a little fat, you usually have the option pay extra for VIP tickets which will allow you to access the seating upstairs to rest those precious legs. If you see your favorite artist is going to perform at this venue, believe me this is a place you will want to see them. Enjoy this Hollywood landmark and support this venue. Cheers!

I have been to this venue a couple of times! The first time was when I came to see Lady Gaga in her«Born this Way Album Release Party» — it was crazy! People were covered in glitter, other people were metal heads and in complete disguise! It was awesome and at the same time, very memorable. The second time, I came to see SLAYER(my all time favorite metal band) and the third time, I came to see Miike Snow. The last time I went was about a week ago to see the band Beirut. So, I do have some history coming here and have a lot of good memories with friends! The venue is perfect in terms of it having an intimate feeling to it! I cannot think of a better place to see your favorite artists. In fact, I wish more of my favorite artists would come to this venue so I can see them up close and personal. The only thing that sucks about standing in a crowd is the fact that I am only 5“2, and there is always someone taller than me in front of me, so it sort of blocks my view. But it’s okay! Next time, I’ll make sure to get there early!
