Ocean Pub 101

We stopped by yesterday for happy hour and were deeply disappointed to see they stopped serving draft beers and no longer have any craft beers. Needless to say we did not stick around to drink bud light :(

For something simple and just American this is a great place to just have lunch with ocean view.
Can’t really say much since it has your basic sandwiches, fried foods, etc. but I did enjoy my lunch there with my colleague.

Went for lunch, great crispy chicken wrap! Great view, however slow service. The table next o me complained about how long it took to get a beer. Went back on Friday night for a live band and a glass of wine. Entertaining, but didn’t stay long due to another slow service experience.

What do you want from FL pub on the ocean? Beautiful views, tasty foods, great drinks, attentive service? Ocean Pub 101 as them all. A fantastic place to sit down, have a meal and a drink, and watch the waves. Friendly staff, good prices. Order the fish tacos.

With the new management this place turned itself right around. Bartenders and waitress great. Drinks specials and happy hour is always good. The live music that they have been providing is the best it’s been in years. Defenetly a place to check out. Being a tourist or local they take care of everyone. All new menu and great food.

Drinks are at good prices. We had Baja fish tacos, fish was overcooked. Crabcake sandwich was tasty and good size with lots of crab. Fries super crispy!

The place is under new management. They say much needed improvements in food is coming. And the place will under go a renovation over the next few months. Sounds good to me! Looking forward to it! So much potential.

This place is great if you’re only going for drinks on the beach… other than that I think your money and energy will be best spent elsewhere. The service was really good but I wish their food was on par with their surroundings.

Omg!!! Loved the fish tacos and my husband thoroughly enjoyed the cobb salad. Definitely recommend this for a nice afternoon meal. You can see the ocean and feel the breeze. It’s great.

The food was ok. The location was awesome. Literally in front of the building where my hotel was. Everything was pretty mediocre (taste of food & drinks) but the vibe was good. It was a relaxing place and our server (which was also the bartender) was good.

Always a good time here! Great staff. They have a touch tunes player for your favorite music. TV’s playing sports, fair prices & fantastic views.

If I could give a negative one star I would not only was the place ran down and the blender broke and the food gross the staff sucked and the music «radio» was depressing I usually try to make the best out of everything but to be honest I will not be back here

I live nearby, so I have been here many times due to the convenient location. This place just continues to disappoint. A few months ago, they had a new menu with items like fish tacos and flatbreads, and I have to admit, the food was good… that day. But 2 weeks later when I asked for a menu, I was given a piece of paper with maybe 6 items on it, all foods that could be frozen then fried and served. Last week was the final straw fir me as far as food. My husband and I split a chicken quesadilla (again from a different menu), and both of us woke up in the middle of the night with food poisoning.
The waitresses are very friendly. That is probably the best thing I can say though. There are times when I have had to sit on the outer deck area, because the «interior» bar area smelled like a garbage truck. They have a juke box, but even if you pay to play a certain song, management will override the machine if they don’t like the song you choose. If you complain, they refuse to refund your money.
If you want to grab a quick drink on the beach, this place is usually open, but do not eat here unless you are trying to get sick. My suggestion to the owners would be to sell, or learn how to properly run a restaurant.

My wife and I stopped here on a fun trip to Florida. This was the low point. Yucky food after a super long wait. (in a half empty restaurant) And the order was messed up. Terrible attitude by the staff. Plus as a kicker they automatically include a 20% tip with any sale and don’t disclose it until the bill comes. I’m getting sick just thinking of this place.

Formally O’Malley’s now under new owners, we enjoyed it in the past so decided to go today for lunch «not as enjoyable «food was ok, I got fried shrimp meal the fries where good but the shrimp was way over cooked. My husband got burger and fries, his looked ok however our bill was $ 40 yes $ 40 because they automatically ad in 18% gratuity to your bill! That’s outrageous on lunch! And explains why the service was so slow, they knew they were getting tipped well regardless… So I can honestly say, this was our last trip here.

Even though I come here everytime I’m in Hollywood, I don’t think I ever knew the name until I looked it up on Unilocal.Like a lot of bars, it has the standard fare of food and drink. In fact, the food is downright lousy and I regret it every time I eat a meal at Pub 101.
But the staff is kind and I love the ambiance. It has partial views of the ocean and reminds me of a dive bar out of the backwoods of Wisconsin or Michigan. They have big TVs, a jukebox and decent daquiris. And, yes, the bar area smells like the morning after a frat party, but the space is warm and comfortable, and you can’t beat the ocean breezes.

There’s a partial view of the beach/​ocean. That’s why the place gets 2 stars.
Horrific service with equally horrific food (flour tortilla «tacos» with Kraft shredded cheese and processed salsa).
Found out afterward the waitress included tip on our 2-​person bill. I overtipped by $ 5, but if I can save anyone else the travesty of coming to this place, consider it paying it forward.

I feel like there is potential here to be a fun restaurant right on the boardwalk but were very displeased with our experience here. There were two waitresses there that kind of split us but whenever we asked for anything each of them would say oh well I’m not really your server but OK. So I’m not sure why some tables got a real waitress while we pretty much had no one (which is why I answered «not sure» for waiter service because I really have no clue). All we ordered were fries and nachos and they took 40 minutes to come out! I assume they were just sitting and waiting to be delivered for 30 minutes before we finally bothered one of our waitresses since we were on the verge of walking out. I 100% believe that they were ready in a timely fashion and no one paid attention to them since we weren’t their table. Keep walking down the boardwalk my friends theres definitely better places.

A cute, mostly tourist bar and grill on Hollywood beach. Great views of the ocean & very interesting people watching. Sitting above the broadwalk and sipping drinks and enjoying their (slightly high priced) bar grub is fun! I have tried their fried shrimp, and fish of the day sandwich and enjoyed them both. Not the best service, but this is a place where no one is in a hurry. I’d recommend it after a long day on the sand or to refuel on a beach crawl.

This touristy dive is closer to a 3.5 but we got good service, drinks and apps when We stopped in a few weeks ago so I’ll slide ‘em up to a 4.
The place could use some updating but the tourist watching is great, right on the broadwalk!
