Deep down South in Homestead, Henry has made a name for himself with his outdoor shooting range. This is no Stoneharts, there is no lane assignment. It’s a DIY-style dugout, and it’s supervised by the owner himself and his trusted regulars. Here you can fire off your heavy artillery at long ranges or try your hand at skeet shooting. Some tips for first timers: — Bring cash. The nearest ATM is not close. — Call ahead. Henry rents his place out to private groups sometimes, and you won’t be able to shoot on those days. He also closes up for inclement weather. — Sunscreen and bug spray. It’s the Redlands, so this is a given. — Bring plenty of ammo. This isn’t like more corporate operations, you can’t buy more on site. You are bringing what you’re shooting. — Since there’s nothing for rent due to the nature of the business, it’s really nobody’s job to help you. This isn’t a first-timer’s range. There are plenty of those elsewhere in Miami and Ft. Lauderdale.
