Lake Wanoka Resort

Absolutely love our weekend trip! We stayed at a very spacious and very clean cabin. This was the old Arcade and the cabin was updated with beautiful bathroom — including an amazing ceramic bathtub & electric fireplaces. The restaurant on the property is wonderful, walking distance & great prices. We enjoyed a round of drinks and chicken wings as an appetizer — very delicious. The staff was friendly & helpful with all our questions. There’s a Country Store for all your needs and shopping fun. It’s a great place for a relaxing fun getaway — we will definitely return for another visit soon!!!

We stayed in Cabin 6 (efficiency cabin) for 4 nights and were happy with the amenities (air conditioning, basic appliances, fire pit, charcoal grill), the small Country Store where you can buy your basic camping needs, and the onsite restaurants were a nice bonus (KC Pepper [also a bar] and Burger Barn). We also hiked around the resort grounds in the morning only to learn that this place used to be a ski resort. The hills behind the restaurants are the old ski runs and if you look in the woods that adjoin the runs you’ll see the old cables from the lifts.
The aforementioned comments alone were not enough to earn the 5 star rating. The kicker for us was how accommodating and friendly the staff was; for example, they let our two dogs stay in a clean, air conditioned cabin after check out while we grabbed lunch at KC Pepper.
