We stumbled on Storto’s after doing some work with the forest restoration a while back. And now we’ve made it our go to spot for lunch the few times that we manage to get back. AWESOMESAMMIES. HUGE. WITHFRESHINGREDIENTS. Half is closer to a standard subway footlong.

I have to say so glad I finally got to try Aloha Subs. Really good ingredients and cool mom and pop vibe! I had the Kelly Slater and Veggie half subs to die for! I will be back and tell all my people’s. Best part is the local customer service Chee Pono!!!

Sandwiches are good. But I agree with other posts, they don’t use hair nets and their hair is just loose and hanging, I’m not surprised others have found hair in their sandwiches. There’s usually only one person working, so the wait time can be VERY long. It helps to out in phone orders if you have a limited time for your lunch break. I’ve walked out once because the wait time was too long. There were three people already in there, I thought they had ordered already, but no. Two of them didn’t order yet. I waited about 10 – 15 minutes and the lady had onlyjust taken the order of one the other customers. I still wasn’t even close to putting in my order. She had her kids helping her behind the counter. The lady was nice and all, but I don’t think I want unsanitary children even near the food and sandwich counter! There hands were all over the place. So unprofessional. They need more employees working here to combat the lunch hour rush… Parking sucks. Its tandem and is behind the building.

I walked into the Kapolei Aloha Sub store around lunch time to give this place a try. It was pretty empty. Two other people were in the store besides me. As I was perusing the menu I noticed that the subs were quite pricey. $ 20 for the Adam Sando and Kelly Slater, $ 21 for the Hawaii 5 – 0, $ 28 for the Jaws, $ 18 for a meatball sandwich! Damn Son… it’s a sandwich. Really $ 20+ for just a sandwich? Does Adam Sandler get royalties on this or something? I walked right out and went to Subway. I think this franchise needs to take a marketing course in price point.

Don’t go, you’ll be addicted! They serve huge, AMAZING sandwiches. Great fresh bread loaded up with delicious fresh ingredients… Which includes their house papaya seed dressing that’s to DIE for. The staff is always so nice. Yes. Yes. Yes!

I’ve been dying to find a bomb sandwich shoppe on Oahu and it’s been hard. I thought I’d give Aloha Subs a try yesterday, so I ordered the Adam Sando. Broke da mouth good! I woke up and wanted another for breakfast, it’s THAT good. Not only are the sandwiches delicious but you get your money’s worth, get great service and they take cards. This is the new spot. They will see my face there a lot more often. Mahalo Aloha Subs!

Normally I don’t give 1 star reviews. But I went in for a sandwich(not a Sando). And was greeted by a large talking purse with blonde hair. He says«You wanna try the Adam Sando?». Uh, no. I do not. Turns out this bipedal, sentient handbag is the owner. Who then proceeds to go on a tirade about how the greatest Canadian power trio of all time is Rush. I mean, come on. It’s obviously Triumph. Anyhoo, long story short, they shred their lettuce like coleslaw and he needs sunblock.

Pretty sure the guy at the counter played saxophone in the film the«Lost Boys.» He was creepily too nice and kept asking me if I wanted to learn how to boogie board. Totally lost my appetite. The ingredients were dry as this guys face and I’m pretty sure I saw lick my loaf of bread. Never coming here again.

This morning on Island 98.5 I heard the co-owner of the Kapolei location talking about how these sandwiches are huge«Orgasims» in your mouth! So for lunch I found myself at their Kalakaua location… I ordered via phone 1 cheesecake & the half Kelly Slater, add avocado… it was ready to go by the time I got there & customer service was awesome! First bite: Cheesecake is the BOMB! So yummy… It is frozen, so give it sometime to thaw, but still yummy! Kelly Slater, add avocado is huge!!! And yes…, oh its so an «Orgasim» in my mouth! Bread is soft, dressing makes it just delicious & fresh veggies! They are not skimpy either! Parking is a little tough but if you drive around the corner to the back there is parking.

If you’re not in the mood to stuff your face the student special here comes out to less than $ 8! You also don’t even have to be a student to order it so don’t be discouraged to get it! It’s ¼ of a sub(size of a half sub from subway) and you get your choice of any one meat, cheese, all the works and of course you can’t forget about the papaya seed dressing! I usually get bacon, pepper jack, and add avocado :) So delicious and it’s a perfect sized meal before I head to work. You also get chips and a small drink!(To those who love raspberry iced tea they have it there yay!) Best deal ever!

You will never go back to Subway after eating a sub from here. I call in my lunch order from work. Jamie and friends are very accommodating and super friendly. The delicious sandwiches are big enough to feed two to three people. I’m not embrassed to say that I have consumed an sub by myself on occasion.

This was my first time here at this location. Thanks to a Unilocal user I got the advice to park in the back. Im a pescatarian so I decided to go with my usual, the half veggie sub with provolone and papaya seed dressing. Staff was very friendly and helpful. My sandwich came out to $ 8.12 with tax. Sounds expensive but once you see the sandwich you’ll be like woahhh this thing is huge! I forgot how big it was. Anyway, I shall be back! :D

The sub tasted good, until I noticed an extremely long piece of hair in the sub, same color and length of the girl who made my sub. Disgusting. I’m appalled.

Ah Stortos, my favorite sandwich in Hawaii! Now named«Aloha Subs»(to make it easier to tell it’s a sandwich shop?), you are truly the yummiest! I remember my friends helped me move a bunch of heavy furniture and I offered to take them to dinner. But instead, all they wanted was«sandwiches from Stortos». I had my doubts. But I tried some of theirs(they begrudgingly shared some with me) and lo and behold, these sandwiches are DELICIOUS and HUGE. A half, wrapped in that infamous pink paper, is seriously enough for two people to share. My friends swear by the Adam Sando and yeah, it’s indeed the best sandwich there. I’ve had other sandwiches there(BJ Penn and Hawaii Five-O) and added various toppings to my beloved Adam Sando(tried jalapeños and peppercinis) but. Nothing beats the original Adam Sando. You don’t mess with perfection, and that is the best sandwich ever made. Papaya seed dressing, turkey, savory bacon, Alfalfa sprouts, creamy avocado slices, cheese and that fresh baked soft sweet bread. Try it and you’ll never look at Subway or any other sandwich again. You might even drool while watching Adam Sandler’s movies. But that’s a small price to pay for such a delicious sandwich :)

My first time experience and j was blown away by the size of the sandwich! It’s was really really good too! I had their famous Hawaii 5 – 0 sandwich and it was delicious. They have a papaya dressing they put on the vegetables in the sandwich which makes it have a sweet taste to it. Including the honey mustard and the many slices of meats in it as well.

Love the«Adam Sando» sandwich here! Portion size is big and half of a sandwich is good enough for 2 people. The bread is so fluffy and light. The papaya dressing sauce and honey mayo makes the taste explosive! I love the creative names of the sandwiches here. This place beats Subway!

Ate here for the first time after always hearing all of the unrelenting radio plugs for it on 101.5fm. The sandwich was actually really great! Their half sandwich is about the same as a full sandwich at most other sandwich shops. So come hungry, expect to have a full belly when you’re done eating. The papaya seed dressing knocked it out and really made my Adam Sando amazing. The décor in the shop was interesting. A lot of old concert posters from venues all across the country. Behind the counter looked clean, which is always nice, and you can watch them from afar as they prepare your sandwich. The customer side, inside of the kalakaua store, had a definite grungey feel though. It made me almost feel like I had been teleported into Chinatown. A fresh coat of paint inside the store would go a long ways. While I don’t think I’d personally dine-in, I will be back for to-go orders. Ultimately though it was one damn good sandwich worth stopping by and trying.

I went to the Aloha Subs out in Wahiwa and asked if the Kalakaua one had the same subs and I am pretty sure I heard him say no. Anyway, there really isn’t any parking for this location. I walked from the Century Center and it took no more than 8 minutes. I tried going to their website to see a list of subs but I couldn’t. I checked reviews and decided I should just go for myself. Upon walking in it is very small with one table and a small ledge with high top chairs. There are a bunch of pictures on the wall that depict the various subs. I went ahead and got the Adam Sando. It was $ 9.95 for the half and another $ 1.50 for a small bag of chips, drinks are separate as well. We went on a bad day since the soda machine only had carbonation for 3 flavors. We ate there and mine was gone in about 5 minutes. All in all it is run by a very nice lady and the subs are big and good.

I loved the North Shore Storto’s so I had to have this town one… they changed their name to Aloha Subs. not sure why… Anyway, I got the famous Adam Sando. I would’ve gave this place 5 stars but they forgot my damn avocado in the sandwich! Although, even though without the avocado, that sandwich was the bomb-diggity!!! The bread is real good and that papaya seed dressing over everything is like the icing on the cake. yummy!!! We ordered take-out and my boss picked it up for us so I can’t review on the store itself. Maybe next time. I definitely recommend this place over subway any day.

Yummy, yummy sammiches! I don’t usually care for sandwiches and I love my plate lunches or meat and RICE but, if I had to eat sandwiches everyday, I’d definitely pick Storto’s! This place has a cool and casual atmosphere-surf theme and lots of music concert and surfing posters. They also have a flat screen TV that has surfing clips on all day. I love their food; my only concern is that the person making our sandwiches used her bare hands, no gloves. The sandwiches are made right in front of you, just like your standard Subway and Blimpie so I guess it’s not too bad. I think for peace of mind though, I’d like to see them wear gloves while making sandwiches. Their parking sucks and they only accept cash but their sandwiches totally make up for it. First off, they’re HUGE-a half sandwich is 8 inches. The bread is hard to describe but it’s light and isn’t dry like Subway’s bread. Although it’s light, it still holds all the meat, cheese and veggies unlike some bread that will break apart. When they ask if you want everything on the sandwich, they mean lettuce, tomatoes, sprouts, onions, bell peppers, and mayonnaise. I’ve highly recommend getting the Adam Sando or Rocky Point. The Adam Sando is the most popular and it comes w/turkey, bacon, avocado, honey mustard and papaya seed dressing. The Rocky Point comes with roast beef, ham, pastrami and papaya seed dressing. Give ‘em a try!
