WOW! Get down here and eat it all!!! Third time here and we bought 10 bread puddings. The bread pudding is sooooo super delicious! They have 10 more and they only make it once a month. The chef is super nice and he gives samples of food when you are here. The staff are so friendly and fun to talk to. The environment is the best. Nice people with delicious food! What are you waiting for, come down now!

The food here is AMAZINGLY delicious – the flavors are so addicting and unique. I crave the juicy burger(with Gouda and onions and either the brioche or the pretzel bun). The Wagyu and lamb are also incredible, and my kids can’t get enough of the Tunardo(formerly Tunami – a tuna melt), BLT(their bacon is like no other) and Every Day I’m Trufflin’ soup. Chefs Kara and Ernesto have spoiled us from the first time we came in, and we love their hospitality and eagerness to share their love of great food. They often offer samples of menu items we haven’t tried, which makes us even more eager for our next opportunity to come back. Every item they bring out is insanely delicious; today it was the Zucchini Got me and the Butter Mochi Bread pudding with salted Carmel honey(OMG, I’ll be dreaming about it tonight). Prior to Burgers and Things, we rarely ate out, but now we can’t go more than a few days between visits. A neighborhood gem for sure!

Our first time yesterday right after a 5K so we were starving but new to the joint. Right off the bat the Chef Kara and her crew are sooo nice. Service is awesome. Thanks Burgers & Things crew for being so kind to us on our first visit. Food was winnahs. We got the Kim Chee Li Burger(its a special), I personally got the Wagyu Say Burger but there were a couple toppings on it I didn’t want and they let me substitute for the bacon jam and aioli(add the drunken goat cheese, killahs) — the kid got a teri bruger and tore through that thing. The wagyu is made medium rare unless you specify otherwise. Mine was the usual and seemed close to rare so you gotta be like me and love it where the thing is mooing otherwise — say something. We’re coming back soon. The service and food is exemplary. We heard we need to come back for this truffle mushroom burger that is on special sometimes and also the garlic bacon fried rice. We are DEFINITELY coming back.

Yummy! Had the juicy burger with Gouda cheese and bacon. Really great flavor, good quality meat. Staff is super friendly. Can’t believe they don’t have fries — maybe someday? I bet they’d be good. Definitely a nerd palace — Star Wars music playing on the loud speaker, kitschy phrases describing various things, and super hero comic books on the walls.

Omg. Juicy tasty deliciousness. Plus omg dessert. The description of how the dessert is made and detail in the burgers is off the hook. Loving it!

A m a z i n g and of course delicious! This is a small little burger joint with tons of character and personality! Customer service is awesome and the ingredients used on the burgers and sandwiches are very fresh! Highly recommend it! If you are looking for parking, it is located in the back of the building.

I stop by when I want a good burger or sandwich. They have a variety of choices that are all tasty and desserts full of flavor. I recommend the bars or brownies. You should also ask about off the menu items. They tend to be really good and you won’t be disappointed. Parking is in the back or street parking.

I would never have guessed Pauoa would host such a gem. I was a bit skeptical of going here, but I’m so glad I gave it a shot. I ordered the wagyu burger and it blew me away. The patty was perfectly cooked, and the toppings complimented the burger very well. I added goat cheese to the burger and it was a great choice. I’ve lived in the Midwest for several years now, so I’ve had some great burgers, and this burger was on par with them. My friends ordered the juicy burger and a vegan sandwich(great to know there are vegan options in a burger joint!), and both of them enjoyed their food. The portions are fairly big unless you’re really hungry. But the thing that stood out to me the most was the service. Everyone was very friendly, and were understanding when we ordered very close to closing time. I also got to sample their soup of the day and dessert, which was delicious, while waiting for my friends to arrive. We ended up staying about half an hour past closing, and I felt pretty bad because I know how irritating that can be. But the workers were really cool with it and told us there was no rush. Overall, we all left with full and happy bellies. I would recommended this place to anyone looking for a good burger and great service.

No-one would ever confuse Pauoa Valley for a foodie hot spot, so we were surprised when Burgers and Things popped in the neighborhood. Of course, we had to try it out to see what it was all about. On our first visit, we decided to sample a variety of items: Teri Burger, Tsunami Tuna Melt, Chicken Pesto Sandwich and Potato Salad. All were flavorful and delicious. Looking forward to trying more of their menu on our next visit.

FINDPARKING! And get ready for a delicious change from the ordinary! Had the I Bid You Adobo, on the daily specialty board, which was kindly suggested after my query for a turkey burger. It is made panini style on choice of bread. No sauce or gravy oozing out of it so no mess. Flavor town! The Apple Tarte was just out of the oven but since it came with vanilla ice cream and I was doing take-out, decided to try it another day. Opted for the Lilikoi, Lemon, Orange Bar and shared with husband — verdict: MM, Good! Like I said, FINDPARKING!

Cute, unassuming burger joint that serves delicious burgers! I wish I had taken a pic of my Wagyu say? Burger, but I devoured it from 0 to 60 cause it was that good! It was juicy and full of flavor. The chef was serving samples of the tomato bisque soup with spinach and that was bomb too! The owners are friendly and comic buffs which shows in the décor. Parking is at the back of the building adjacent to what seems to be an apartment complex.

This place is quickly going to turn into my new jam! Their Juicy Burger with its juicy goodness, mad flavors, & perfectly toasted bun, I didn’t need to add any condiments. That burger was worth every penny. I do not mind ever paying a little more for food that was obviously made with love. And because of the popular mention of the mochi bread pudding, I had to give it a try myself. Now I’ll always have to order it whenever I visit because it was absolutely devine. Not only was I blown away by their deliciousness, but Kara shined with her beautiful & quirky personality. She enjoys taking care of people & filling their bellies with yummy satisfaction. Top notch service. Ernesto & Kara have done something special here with Burger & Things. Don’t complain about the parking. They know it sucks. Just deal with it because you won’t be disappointed once you try what this place has to offer.

First time here! Tried the garlic bacon fried rice(yummmmmmmm), the juicy burger with lettuce, tomato, balsamic aioli and added +bacon, +sautéed red onions, & +cheese. Husband liked it so much he got the Teri Burger with all the same toppings. Very juicy, fresh and the flavors blended well together. Ohhhh and the pickled carrot… Mmmmmm. For dessert we had the fudge brownie and a lilikoi bar. Not just any brownie not like I’ve ever tasted. It has passion vodka soaked dried mangos, coffee, and walnuts… It’s as tasty as it sounds. Definitely a must come to again. It’s new — it’s clean– very friendly and awesomely tasteful!

Can you keep a secret? Please, please, promise me, not a word, not a action, don’t…just don’t roll your eye’s. I had a affair today. As badly as I love my own burgers(you know I LOVE them!), I couldn’t help myself. The lure(and allure), the accessibility, the intricate desire of the unknown. It was just so juicy! So bacony! So… cheesy??? I kept telling myself: «Just this once. It couldn’t possibly hurt. You deserve it. Hit it and quit it…» The lightly charred exterior, and the flavor of the juices as they spread in my mouth. Something, I’m not sure what, mixed into the meat… a particular seasoning? The bacon(two strips) stretched and doubled over, cooked to perfect leanness, not to crisp, not at all translucent. Bleu cheese scattered about and woven with caramelized red onions. The Juicy Burger. As I waded in, and the warm juice began to run down my chin(should have taken more napkins!) I felt the ghost of Grandpa Joad looming over me. Finishing, a sensation came over me and I felt as comfortable as a babe in the womb. Something happened, I kept thinking about it. I thought about it driving my car, while sitting in a bar, when I swam, and eating beef shwarma…(lol Mahalo!) ;) Will it be the same(my mind begins to wonder here, dear reader, but I appreciate you staying with me thus far)? As I run my hands through the ground beef/pork/bison that I call my own. Will my emotions be the same as I slap the ball of ground meat to-and-fro, slip it into the mold(I like a nicely rounded patty, but I have a heart shaped mold also!), or will I simply be going through the motions? Life is to short, I keep telling myself. I will always love my burger but now… there is another. Owned and operated by partners Ernesto Limcaco and Kara Shimamara. They have a ever blossoming menu like the«Cluck Norris,» the«Niihau Lamb Bam Thank You Ma’am,» and«Kim Chee» Burgers… Burgers and Things is open from 10 – 6 every day but Monday, and located on Pauoa Rd next to Pauoa Chop Sui. Coming from Kailua take the Pauoa Exit, from town or the H-1 take Pali(or Pali Exit) you can park along Pacific Heights Rd, in the small lot located behind Pauoa Chop Sui, or along the North side of Pauoa Rd, but… there is another… way. Aloha

Saw this place on Unilocal and decided to try it out. Free parking is available in the back. Heard about the lamb burger and was looking forward to trying it out. My first lamb burger and I would order this again. The«Niihau Lamb Jam thank you ma’am» burger was juicy and comes with lettuce, tomato, Apple maple bacon jam, and on the side is pickled garlic and pickled carrot. They also have a classic beef burger as well as a Teri burger. They have a good selection of cheeses you can choose from to top your burger. The standard cow cheeses as well as chèvre goat cheese and manchego sheep cheese for the more adventurous. The interior is small but clean. Staff was helpful and knew the menu well, suggesting different ways that the entrees can be customized. The owner is super friendly and came by our table to ask us how our food was. Will be back to try the mochi bread pudding. They have rotating specials in addition to sandwiches(Brie and bacon jam sandwich for $ 5 looked pretty good) and wasabi tricolor potato salad. They close at 6pm if you considering going for dinner, just FYI.
