Chris and his workers were nice. The salon itself was clean and it looks well taken care of. They made me feel comfortable. Thank you Chris! Will surely come back again :)

I’ve had nothing but positive experiences here. I’ve been to Chris about 3 times now, twice for a cut and once for a straight perm. He’s efficient, professional, and friendly. After I messed up and washed my hair too early after my straight perm he was able to see me within that same week, evaluate my hair, and fix it. As a courtesy he didn’t even charge me! Definitely a great salon. I’ll be back! Thanks so much Chris!

See Frank, he’s great. I love what he does with my hair even if I’m more of a brush my hair and out the door kind of gal!

What a difference a year makes. The first time I went here, I had such a positive experience. This time, I brought a friend so we could get digital perms together. I made an appointment for the two of us well in advance, but EZHairs didn’t tell us they only had the capacity to do one digi-perm at a time. It was 3.5 hours before I was able to have the rollers placed. The price has more than doubled, and the hairdressers were very rude.

Chris is very nice and accommodating. He went to hair school in New York and Korea. His skills are very apparent and his prices and very reasonable. I love the fact that he is located in Kalihi right above Palama Supermarket. You can get your hair cut then go downstairs and get some yummy food from Von’s chicken which is a bonus!

Ok. So last time I came it was just for a trim. But this time I wanted my hair as short as Chris thought it could be and still look good. I was nervous because of my odd head shape. Again it was terrific! He still had that way of cutting that looked like he was cutting each hair but actually it’s by small sections. I know I know that’s the only way you can cut. But you have to experience it yourself. And I got two washes! Yeah yeah, no, not because my hair was that dirty but because he said men’s hair has a lot of small hairs that can be irritating especially if you’re going back to work like I am. The washes are standard. The price? $ 30 – 35 for men! Two washes!

I normally hate hair salons. Yeah, yeah, yeah, even though I’m a girl I basically don’t know how to sit still for things like this. I don’t understand how people sit in salon chairs for hours getting their hair all dolled up. It makes me frustrated. One time I got my hair digitally permed in Korea and it took 4 hours… FOURHOURSIN A FREAKINGCHAIR. Never again… Usually my mom cuts/trims my hair since she’s pretty skilled at it(and doesn’t take five hundred million years). But my mom convinced me that there was this new place I should try out. She dragged a very hesitant me and promised that I would like it. I walked in and there was only one other person there. I told them that I just needed to re-layer my hair and trim the bottom. I also mentioned that previous hair salons didn’t understand«trimming» and always cut off more than I wanted them to. He understood what I meant. I was there for about an hour and by the end, I fell completely and utterly in love with my hair. He cut my bangs to the perfect length so that it didn’t poke my eyes but it wasn’t awkwardly short either. My layers were perfect and the trim was done to the right length. He didn’t over cut my hair despite the fact that I know I have damaged hair that needs to be trimmed later. I also got a brown color coat done, which is a temporary dye but it made my hair silky smooth. He even curled and styled my hair afterwards! The only issue I had was that the brown color coating faded pretty quickly. Also since my hair is naturally black, the colors weren’t as prominent as a real hair dye job. However, the coating itself actually makes you hair soft and smooth so I would definitely recommend. Make sure to get a color that will show on your hair. If you’re looking for a more permanent color, you may want to go with regular hair dye. The color/cut was $ 80 without tip. I felt that this was fairly reasonable since other places can charge $ 100+ just for the haircut alone. The owner here is a legit hairstylist who definitely knows how to work with hair. This ain’t no barbershop. It’s a really nice and cozy place. Quick and efficient, which are the main reasons why I was so happy with my results. Prices are good too. Ample parking in the palama lot. The salon is located on the second floor, elevator located on the left of the palama entrance.

I got introduced to eZ Hairs as my mother used to go to the salon above Palama Makaloa. I bailed recently on my stylist because I got teeth whitening and could not make the appointment so she suggested I try Chris, the owner/stylist and she claims he works wonders. I had her set an appointment and went to the Palama in Kalihi — they are located on the second floor. Went in, was taken to the chair, and asked what I wanted to do. I specified a TRIM and color and he seemed to understand, until I saw how much of my hair was being chopped off. The shampooing chair is VERY uncomfortable — if you’re shorter that might be different but for a tall person stay away! I’m giving him three stars for affordability since it was $ 50.00 total for«trim» and color. Now I look like a refugee from some Southeast country. Can you scream bowl cut anymore?
