Fairway Villa Condominium

Great quiet condo on Ala Wai canal. Close to grocery store. Secure quiet not a hotel and roof top pool nice

I’ve lived at Fairway for a few years now, and it’s okay for the most part. Tourists and possible tenants read on…
The good:
— rooftop pool (I believe it’s the only one in Waikiki?) with amazing views, a hot tub, saunas, vending machine and barbecues on the 29^th floor
— awesome location that can’t be beat, just blocks from the beach
— extremely secure and safe premises (24 hour security)
— visitor parking
— well maintained and clean
The bad:
— the manager doesn’t care about your input or concerns, if you happen to have any
— although some of the security guys are beyond awesome (T and Chris to name a few), some are incredibly rude for absolutely no reason, as a previous reviewer has mentioned. Don’t plan on talking to the manager about it — he doesn’t care and it won’t change
— you can’t bring surfboards or bicycles in the elevators — insane! If you want somewhere to store them, you have to pay $ 50 for a storage key (which will take WEEKS to get) and have them stored in direct sunlight, which will destroy your board
The ugly:
— there are occasionally small cockroaches on all floors. Not much that can be done about it.

The building is spotless. The security staff is on site ²⁴⁄₇. There is covered secured assigned parking. A roof top pool sauna hot tub and BBQ grills are available for everyone’s use. Try tenting from a private owner. They have the best prices and some have updated their units. Stayed here every year

Worst timeshare ever!!! Every night we noticed a car being towed. Ours was towed first night there. We think night security and towing company working together to rob the tourists! Do not stay here if using timeshare!!!

Verbally harassed by Fairway Villa security for no apparent reason. I called immediately to speak with a member of management. I was told that management was gone for the day, and security would NOT HELP ME WITH MY HARASSMENT ISSUE! I plan to persue this matter further. If any Unilocalers plan to stay at the Fairway… Please spend your money elsewhere! THE FAIRWAY VILLA AND THEIR SO CALLED SECURITY STAFF! ARE AN F’ING JOKE! PLEASE REPOST ON EVERY SOCIAL MEDIA WEBSITE KNOWN TO MAN!

(3÷11÷2013) We came here to burn some points off our travelshare program.
We already live here, but since we’re stuck on-​island, we tried to find a place to relax (of the extremely limited selection in our particular plan).
Anyway, besides soap, toilet tissue and towels, you’re coming outta pocket if you didn’t bring your own. Liked the pull-​down queen bed in the living room. Didn’t like «scenic» view of parking garage, lack of toiletries, small TV, pay-​by-​day only wireless Internet and ROACH IN THE DISHWASHER!
