Skip it. .. I found out afterwards that it’s been sold and will become a Maui Brewery. Such a HUGE disappointment… Way, way overpriced — 2 of us shared Garlic Fries, Kahlua Pork Quesadilla(made with 1 tortilla),(very salty) Buffalo Wings and a Strawberry Margarita(no alcohol??) for $ 53! Rip-off! No wonder it’s empty! Go wait in Cheesecake Factory line across the street. Jimmy Buffet should tell them to remove his name! Shameful!

The service was really slow. We sat at the bar and ordered dinner. Two burgers, they were both better than expected with generous portions of French fries. Now, back to the slow part. The bartenders were not rude per-se but they never checked back after dropping off our food and never offered more drinks. My husband flagged down one of the bartenders to order a second drink and he received it but again, neither of them offered to help us. I get that maybe they were busy but a smile, some eye contact and maybe an apology for the wait would be nice. We ended up leaving much sooner than we planned because we didn’t want to continue to beg for service.

Can’t believe this place only has three stars! I’ve been to 2 of the margaritavilles but was wishing they had one in Hawaii when I discovered this gem! It’s very similar to margaritaville. Has a cool setup and great food! My husband and I enjoyed the surf n turf and chips and queso and we had the sundae brownie for dessert. It was all wonderful. Our poor waitress was so busy but still managed to keep up with us. We will probably be back here before our trip is over. Love it!

HOSTESS: Are you visiting? ME: No, we live here. HOSTESS: Cool! Welcome! You came at the right time. Jimmy Buffett has decided to close this location effective Feb 2016. It will then become Maui Brewing Company! Cool story bro! Looks like Jimmy is making the right move. Cheesecake Factory is right across the street and it’s ALWAYS poppin. The Top of Waikiki is just adjacent to it and it’s a very popular landmark. Probably can’t compete with either of them or CPK. And the street entrance is just past the sidewalk performer dressed in gold. He always does this pretend shooting gimmick to scare(or get the attention of) passers by and I hate it! I first learned all about Jimmy Buffett at my first job out of high school in California. My haole boss would wear aloha shirts Every. Single. Day. He’d turn up to «Cheeseburger in Paradise» after listening to Rush Limbaugh. That all made its mark in my brain forever. So, I just had to check this place out and order a cheeseburger just for kicks. Well, I decided to order a kids cheeseburger because I just didn’t have enough room after munching on Pupus: Calimari and Buffalo Wings. All in all, nothing to rave about. But, I did like that we happen to arrive at 9pm which was the beginning happy hour prices! Must order: Beachcomber Margarita with fresh strawberry purée. It was most EXCELLENT! $ 3 off margaritas at Happy Hour from 3−6pm or 9−12pm. Our server did his job very well. Attentive and cheery! Good luck Jimmy!

I really like this place. I can’t really comment on the parking because I didn’t come into Waikiki just to eat here but to shop the day I came. I came during happy hour which was completely by accident. I think we were there at 5:00pm. Almost all but two of the appetizers were half off. I think the nachos was discounted a couple of dollars and the poke was regular price. We didn’t eat entrees because we weren’t too hungry so this review is based off of the appetizers. My friend Sheenal had the truffle fries and caesar salad and my other friend Avi had the chili fries. I had the buffalo wings, a side of rice and a diet coke. The waiter was super cool, friendly and struck some conversation since it was pretty slow. So with that said, the customer service was excellent. He filled my diet without me having to ask and always checked up on us. As far as the food it wasn’t TOO amazing but it got it’s job done. For what it was. It’s bar food so I can’t really say much. There was live music. So that really adds to the experience. The big screen tvs were ridiculous! Like such a wow experience. I feel though that the place should be a little brighter. I like the dimness, but it felt too dark like the place wasn’t even open inside. But that wasn’t too big a deal because maybe it just added to the experience and made the big screen tvs stick out. Also, the homemade ketchup was bomb. My diet was $ 3.50. My rice was about $ 3.00. Yikes… ugh screw you Waikiki. Screw you Hawaii in general. It’s overpriced, but the happy hour and ambiance makes up for it… it’s just such a cool concept! I would come back again and that’s definitely in the plans. Next time I’ll update.

Not a bad place but it was totally empty. We were told it was sold off and will be turning into Maui Brewing at the end of the year. Despite that, the food and drinks were great! Even if the bartending gave us the inside info on the business… he was pretty chatty and friendly :) Hope he finds a new job soon!

This Place. I’m not big on name dropping establishments unless it’s an inspirational chef. I mean, I would generally be turned away if I came across a restaurant called«The Kardasian kitchen» or «Brangelina Buffet“‘ so what would make this place any different? Advertisement! I saw ads for their pineapple beignet and it sparked my curiosity. So I humbled myself and went in. We were quickly seated and in my mind I got past the manufactured setting that reminded me of Toon Town in Disneyland. We ordered off the Happy Hour Menu a couple of shared items with the intention of ordering the beignet for dessert. We ordered the calamari with pineapple. Um. wow! The calamari was fresh and for all calamari eaters, you know that chewey rings can make one cry. The addition to fried pineapple and onions really got the ball rolling. My kid and I were fighting over the coveted fried pineapple, I think I won. At this point, my focus was on the food and toon town was melting away. We then shared the chili cheese fries, the portion was huge so we brought half of it back to our hotel. It was good. It’s chili fries. Now for the awaited pineapple beignet that was advertised in the little booklets, that drew me in. Holy… Whaaaaat?!? They were dang good. The sweet tartness of the pineapple, fried… Fried. It was accompanied with vanilla ice cream and warm caramel. Put together your favorite combo with these three items. Yes. Try it. By now toon town disappeared because it was all about the beignets. Now, I have been to the Jimmy Buffets in Vegas only because we watched a concert at the Flamingo and I wanted a drink. I’m about to check and see if they serve the beignets because if they do, expect a Unilocal post.

The happy hour menu is very reasonable. I had the coconut shrimp, truffle fries, and the calamari, all from the happy hour menu. Tasty, just not so healthy, but an extra lap down Waikiki Beach will get rid of the extra calories. We were able to get a reservation for a party of 10 an hour before showing up. The place was virtually empty, maybe because it was 5 p.m. By the time we were leaving, however, it was starting to fill. The interior is fun, with one wall consisting of a gazillion flat screen TVs. There is a huge whale above the bar area, which gives it that Disney feeling. I half expected sand on the floor but didn’t see any except the stuff the customers brought in with them. The waiter accommodated our large party when we wanted our bills split. Of course, we did tell him when we ordered, but he still was fantastic about doing the extra work. He even told us how lucky we were, as not every waitperson will do it. +1 star just for him.

Awesome service! The happy hour deals are also really good for it being in the heart of Waikiki and a tourist spot.

Shenni C said it best, «a tourist trap with super fried happy hour options.» Drinks are inexpensive, so maybe the restaurant is hoping you’ll drink so much that you won’t notice the fact that almost everything is fried and tasteless. It’s an interesting approach to take, but one you’re not likely to find just anywhere. I think you’d be wise only to stop in as a last resort, or if you’re trying to save money on your night out and wanted to take advantage of their cheap booze at Jimmy Buffett’s.

Average tourist trap with super fried happy hour options. They have live music that are bearable and borderline annoying. Only when they sing off note that is. :) The food, vibe and environment is fun. This place reminds me of Hawaiian Bryan’s — a local spot– because of all the games. I give them 3 stars for location, environment and cheap drinks from 2pm-5pm. Come early because this place gets packed at night.

Only two Jimmy’s in the US. This place has a great happy hour. Large, large screens for all NFL fanatics. Friendly staff. Attentive.

The front door featured a friendly hula hooping Australian woman. That was the best part. The waiter didn’t care that we were there, the food was just ok, and the drinks were not good. Worst of all? No Jimmy Buffett music playing. It was other artists! If you’re looking for the Parrothead experience keep looking. This place should bear the Jimmy Buffett name.

This is a late review, but it is worth mentioning. When I visited this establishment with my family on our vacation, we were expecting a long wait, so we waited patiently for about an hour. When we were finally seated, the kitchen was apparently running slow, and our meal took two hours to finally reach us. Everyone around us, though, were being served quickly, and leaving with full stomachs. My younger sibling’s stomach was growling, my sibling was starving and was not happy with waiting. Head on the table, this child was completely bored and hungry. Our waiter did the best he possibly could, bless his heart, but when the manager was supposed to step up, he did NOT. He was obviously scared of my family, and avoided us at all costs, pretending to look busy by cleaning random tables, sending our waiter to speak to us instead. If it wasn’t for the amazing work of the waiter, I would have made this a one-star review.

Friendly staff, super helpful with questions during our visit to watch the Oregon Ducks battle Washington St. Was a great environment to watch the ball game with fellow Oregon Alumni. Who showed up in full colors. Two large wall sized tvs for viewing and great happy hour prices during the game. Validated parking makes it a touchdown! Watch out for the Volcano Nachos! They are massive and delicious!

Good for a sporting event wuth lots of televisions. For all ages and they happy hour specials that make things make things a little cheaper. Only come here for sporting never Donner or lunch. Never saw anything on the menu that made me want to comeback or order while I was watching games. I recommend the nachos and the truffle fries for the appetizer menu. At happy hour everything is 50% off except for poke and the nachos(only $ 4 off).

Special event: Mayweather Pacquiao fight. Big space great for this event inside high wall sized screens too bad the fight sucked as MAyweather would not fight the PacMan and just danced around like a scared little man. The service was exceptional… Crazy wild but I got my beers with a smile and even the manager came served me and remembered my name from when I came in to buy the ticket. The food looked great and they also had a booth serving spam nachos at the Spam Jam. Kudos see you for NBA finals and NFL

Not bad at all. Great location, I feel like I’m on the 2nd level in Vegas, above the hustle & bustle below. Lunch time is slow, but nice to be in a quiet location in the middle of Waikiki The pulled pork sandwich was delicious, and comes with a big portion of fries that were also really good. Lots of beers to choose from, so my waiter offered me samples. Now THAT is good service!

I’ve been here several times now to watch college football games with my alumni. Dined here for lunch 2x and Happy Hour 2x now. In averaging out all four occasions, I give this establishment 5-stars. After reading a handful of below-par reviews before setting foot into this place I had set my standards low. Didn’t expect much as the main purpose was to watch the football game with my friends. First of all, parking here is quite easy. You drive up to the Beachcomber Hotel and valet park with one of the door persons(with validation parking is FLAT $ 3). Catch the LONG escalator up and turn right. Walk all the way to the back until you reach the hostess stand. Each time I was greeted with a warm smile and when I advised them I was here to see the game, I was told to walk in as the area was sectioned off for DUCK fans. What service!!! Shortly after sitting down, one of the wait staff came by to fill my glass of water and take my order. Each time the menu was on the table so I was able to order my food quickly and didn’t take much time for the food to come out. Here is what I had: BEACHCOMBERBURGER(5⁄5) I don’t eat burgers often as I tend to stay away from them after successful long-term weight loss. But I broke down and tried it as my fellow alumni HIGHLY recommended me to eat them. I had mine medium-rare and it was served with cheddar cheese, tomato, lettuce and caramelized onions. For several dollars more I upgraded my order with their truffle fries and a bowl of homemade chili. Man, this was a LOTOFFOOD peeps! Burger was cooked to perfection and very flavorful but I was unable to finish the chili so I had to doggy bag it. SOUTHWESTBURGER(5⁄5) Via the server’s recommendation I tried this burger and it was VERYGOOD. Once again the burger was cooked to my liking and served with chili, queso, lettuce, tomatoes, fried onions, pickles and jalapenos. In my opion, the queso really brought the burger together. It was a little sloppy to eat but so flavorful. The next thing I know the whole burger is gone. NACHOS(5⁄5) I saw MANYMANY photos of their nachos and kid you not, these plates are HUGE! I’ve had nachos at some places where they were pre-fried so at times the chips were stale but not here — — made fresh and very crunchy. Topped with meat, cheese, beans, green onions and sliced fresh green jalapenos. 3 containers of sour cream, guacamole and homemade salsa accompanied the dish. During Happy Hour they are at a bargain of $ 8.50. GINANDTONIC(5⁄5) I get disappointed when alcoholic beverages are watered-down or filled up with too much ice. My drink was very tasty with gin and had a good dosage of lime juice from the lime wedge in the drink. Very satisfying. Bathrooms are located on the Diamond Head — Mauka dide of the restaurant. Very spacious, clean and bright. Enjoyed the décor and can hear music playing, too. Overall a great place to come for a meal and highly recommended to come and watch a sporting event with tasty food and great service. NOTES: 1) Soft drinks here have free refills. On a HOT afternoon I arrived very thirsty and had my diet Coke refilled 5x. And several times the wait staff came to ask me BEFORE I had to request. 2) Check in to Holiday Inn Resort Waikiki Beachcomber and present the offer to staff for 15% discount off breakfast and lunch menu.
