It’s sad to see the bad reviews Kathy has here… I’ve seen Kathy twice a couple years ago to have my brows tattooed. Both visits were great for me. Before seeing her my brows had no shape and they were very sparse to begin with. It’s true that she is very opinionated and they she can be stern about her decisions. But if you don’t like what she has to say then that’s fine. In the end it’s her reputation and work that will be put out there walking on the streets for everyone to see. I’m very glad that I made the decision to have my brows done by Kathy and I was so pleased that I went back over a year later to have them refreshed. It’s true that tattoos fade, especially on the facial area where we shed skin the most and also have the most sun damage… So with all the exfoliating, facial makeup/cleansers and products we cake onto our faces what do you expect? Bottom line, she’s not gonna fit everyone’s type of personality so just do your research and definitely get opinions from others that have personally had work done with that person…

I was told by a few friends to see her but was hesitate. First, I didn’t like the fact that I had to put down a deposit, maybe that’s just me but whatever. Second, I won’t go to her because my first experience with her seems similar to other bad reviews as well as some of my friends’ experiences. Point blank, she argues with you and takes a «I know best and if you don’t like it you can go somewhere else» approach. My experience with her is that unlike most of the people I know and see on Unilocal,I wanted my eyeliner done and didn’t want my eyebrows touched. She told me straight up, you have to do your eyebrows first before I’ll do your eyeliner. Seriously? You’re making me spend money on something I don’t even want? I didn’t even go into it with her over color and shape. My friend had bad experiences with her over color. My friend wanted a dark brown, almost black and Kathy said no, she would only do a chocolate brown. They have to do regular touch-ups. I’m over it and over her. Thanks but no thanks.

I think this is a good place to go to if you don’t know how to do your eyebrows nicely to begin with. I had naturally beautiful eyebrows but now that I’m older, the hair is thinning out so I’ve been applying more pencil. I went to Kathy under a recommendation because she did do a nice job for a friend, but that nice job is good compared to what my friend used to do(no offense, Friend). I wanted Kathy to shade my eyebrows the way I did. But she ARGUED with me that she knew better and was going to emphasize my good features. She did convince me to make them more archy because my brow has drooped a bit over the past decade. But I think what made me decide to go ahead with it was my non refundable $ 50 deposit to have this appointment. So she drew on my eyebrows with a pencil to show me what she was going to do… I said okay. She tattooed my eyebrows and my eyeliner. Two weeks later, I saw the errors that she made. One eyebrow is longer than the other and extends farther above my brow bone that it should. She did not follow the arch I asked for. When I told her this, she told me that she can redo it, but it will cost me $ 50 to do a touchup and $ 40 more if I wanted to add to the shape. I left the island for work and decided to come back to her when I could return, only to discover as months past, parts of the ink completely faded. My eye liner looks like a crooked jagged line and parts of my eyebrow ink is missing. Before Kathy, I went to faces plus in San francisco and the lady did a superb job on my eyeliner in one sitting and the ink had not faded since. Kathy uses poor quality ink and then expects you to return to pay extra. I asked my friends this and they each had to do a touch up. This is not the norm and could be a way for Kathy to make extra income. Everywhere else usually does the job in one sitting and the ink does not fade so quickly. The botch is unmistakable and and I’ve asked other professionals about it and agreed that Kathy is using crap ink does not have a straight hand as her tattoo lines are also crooked. Kathy is good to go to if you need your eyebrows repaired or never had a strong idea of what you wanted them to look like. She unfortunately ruined mine so now I have to pay someone else to redo my eyeliner and I’m getting my eyebrow tattoos removed. She was also not apologetic at all about the botched job and kept referring to the disclosure I signed that stated that I will pay her fees if she had to work on me again. Gross.

I’ve been hearing from word of mouth about Kathy and seen her work first hand. She does cosmetic eyebrow tattooing impeccably. Hands down the best in the game, I have aunties that went to her 15 years ago and their eyebrows still look super nice! +By appointment only +$ 50 Deposit +Street Parking +Air Conditioned +Bathroom +Clean Establishment +Offers other services like cosmetic eyeliner and lip liner +Text Friendly +Utilizes Square Ready +Impeccable work Heres my experience… I decided to finally get my eyebrows tattooed, it was a long time coming. You have to call and put a deposit of $ 50 down and its over the phone you can either text her your credit card information or call her and tell her. Just trust her and send the information, I know its sketchy, but its worth it. So after tax itll be like $ 52.30 or something like that. When you get to your appointment itll be another $ 100. All in all it was around $ 160 with tax. She gives you her address and you go to your appointment. I found her place on iPhone Maps, found street parking and proceeded to go into her yard. You have to find her gate and it has her address number on it. Go past that and walk all the way to the back, there will be a door and you enter inside. Theres a quaint little waiting area and if shes busy with a customer shell tell you that shell be a minute. The procedure took like an hour to do. First she draws out on how your eyebrows will be tattooed on. Then she’ll ask you if you like them or not. Shes very opinionated, but she knows what shes doing. She then puts numbing cream on you and tells you to wait like 15 minutes for it to set in. Personally my numbing cream didnt do that much but I didnt care, because I have tattoos anyways. I rate Kathy five stars because her work is amazing.
