Precision Vision

REALLY disappointed in the staff here. Dr is super, hence the 2^nd star. But the staff that orders your prescriptions are incredibly awful. Today makes three weeks that I have been desperately waiting for my eyeglasses. When I ordered them, they said 1.5 weeks for it to be ready. I called 18 days later inquiring on the status only for the girl to tell me that they have my frames, but alas, the lab lost my lenses. They lost my lenses and you had no interest in calling me to inform me?! My current pair of glasses are broken, and I made them aware of my urgency to have the new pair ASAP.
Mind you, 6 months ago when I went in for my initial contact lens exam, I waited 5 months for them to call me letting me know my trial pair arrived. I could have gone to Costco and would have had a new pair of glasses and a supply of contact lenses in less than a week. I didn’t go to Costco since they already used my vision benefit so heck if I was going to pay out of pocket for another exam! In addition, they sent a claim to my insurance company for an order of imaginary contact lenses. I sat and waited while the staff member called to have it reversed.
It’s quite disappointing to see such wonderful doctors employ inefficient staff. Sorry to say, it’s nice that they’re super sweet and kind, but it pisses me off that they’re incompetent. I’m currently still awaiting my lost pair of glasses…

Dr. Abe provides excellent patient care. He is very thorough and takes the time needed carefully do the eye exam. I highly recommend him.

Wooohoo still got my ²⁰⁄₂₀ vision! Dr. Fujii and his staff are helpful, kind, and awesome! The office is a bit small but they don’t skip out on any details. From explaining the anatomy of the eye and the importance of a yearly visit, to answering my questions about my sight issues, to patiently helping me choose a pair of new glasses– they are just awesome! They take insurance and help figure out how much it covers for you if you need new glasses or lens. My new glasses came in within a week for me to pickup. ((Even though I have ²⁰⁄₂₀ vision I have an astigmatism, which I know now is when the eyeball isn’t perfectly round so sometimes glasses could help me out like when I’m driving at night)) Now I know how important my eye health is and will be back here every year for my annual checkup.

Always like coming here for check-​ups! The staff is super nice and helpful and Dr. Abe is very friendly and knowledgeable. The office is easy to get to from Kapiolani or, you can just park at Ala Moana (Sephora side) and walk to the building through the parking lot. Overall, always a great experience.

Dr. Dirk Fujii and his staff are AWESOME!!! I have been going to him for 20 years and I enjoy every visit with him. He’s personable and very funny. He always takes his time to explain the health of my eyes. I love how he now has an office in Kapolei.

My experience is very similar to Heidi P. Dr. Fujii & staff are very accommodating and helpful. I miscalculated & and was going to run out of contacts; as usual, they gave me a few weeks! of lenses (not cheap). I only have positive experiences with this office. Clearly evidenced by how busy they are. Dr. Fujii will educate you on your eye health and remembers you year after year. Again, it’s not just the Dr.‘s, but the staff & are also so helpful and cheerful, it must be great to work for these guys.

I have been going to Dr. Dirk Fujii since — well forever. There are a list of reasons why I will always come to this eye doctor.
— Plenty of parking since he is at the Ala Moana Shopping Center.
— He is very knowledgeable and does not recommend anything that he does not feel is needed — AKA he won’t just do something for money! :)
— His staff is friendly and they always treat you like family.
— He can actually crack a joke
— He makes sure he educates you on what is going on and lets you plan how you want to proceed rather than say this is what we are going to do.pau.
— His office is now more electronic — you can send a review, set up an appointment and get reminders on line or via mobile
— He and his staff are not afraid to improve and find new ways to bring the best to their customers without charging you an arm and a leg
They can get very busy on Saturdays — so if you can try to go during the week — but if you don’t mind waiting there are many Saturdays where they may do a trunk show with a particular vendor for great deals. You can’t beat the location, service and price!

I’ve been going to Derrick Abe, OD since my previous eye care provider relocated to the Bay Area, CA. My former student’s mother is also one of his receptionists.
Park in the Ala Moana Shopping Center lot and walk across the street. The Bank of Hawaii building where they are located in has a $ 10 lot fee with a parking attendant. I’m not sure if this is validated parking.

I absolutely LOVE Precision Vision! The staff and the Optometrists are friendly and helpful. I think this is the first doctor’s office that I actually laugh for most of the time :) I’m very pleased with the contacts, Rx glasses and sunglasses that I purchase from there. They have such a great selection! They have very affordable packages for Rx glasses and the service is amazing!
I would definitely recommend my friends to Precision Vision! :)
