Rainbowtique

A bit smaller than the Ward Center store but has a bunch of hats and clothing. Worth stopping by to check out the merchandise.
The employees here have always been very pleasant.
Currently they have some nice sports items and they usually always have a small sale rack with fairly good prices.
I went in for Hawaii Hello Kitty stuffed animal and grabbed an Under Armour Visor as well and a T-​Shirt. Well, lets just say I got a bit out of hand and dig get a couple things!
All in all I did OK and I like stopping by this store.
Find it in the lower level of the Marriott.

After walking down Waikiki beach and toward the aquarium, we decided to take a side street to see if there were any shops we could look around in. This UH Rainbowtique location is on the ground floor of the Waikiki Marriott Resort & Spa, and is a little bit away from the «main» part of Waikiki Beach where Duke’s statue is, but a convenient location if you are in the area and can’t make the trek out to downtown, Ala Moana or the UH campus.
From the outside, you can see right inside the store. It’s a pretty tiny space, but has a good amount of UH gear. Selection is varied, but there were items I saw here that I didn’t see at the UH Manoa bookstore, and vice versa, although the bookstore at the campus is currently being renovated. There were hoodies, tshirts for men, women and children, along with water bottles, banners, stickers, bumper stickers, etc. They were having a tshirt sale at the time ($ 5 each!) so I grabbed one along with a UH Warriors hoodie that I can wear for hoodie-​appropriate weather, home in Seattle :)
The lady working there was kind, helpful and offered to hold my items at the register — which may not be something you particularly like if you don’t intend on buying anything! She also asked if I would be around for their promotion in May, but I would be back home then. Nice of her to bring it up though, but considering how pale I was (aka super Haole girl), she probably knew I wasn’t from Hawaii ;)
Good location. If you’re near the aquarium and support UH, swing by and check it out. And if you didn’t enjoy that, walk a block over to the beach!
