Happened upon Ronnie’s at the Hugs & Hearts Festival. The Kalua Pork was so succulent, melt in your mouth flavour sensation with sticky BBQ sauce and the side of macaroni salad was refreshing. I’ll be following them around the island for sure!

I finally got to check out this awesome lunch wagon. Had the Furikaki Miso Opah… fish cooked perfect with Miso sauce. As the locals say… broke da mouth. Thank you Sista Sharon!!! Will see you again real soon!

Yeah she gives extra food because it was from a couple days ago. and its because that fold didn’t sell as much as the others! only thing good about this food truck is the kikkoman shoyu packets LOL. And she’s selling STALE peanuts and walnuts for $ 2.00. This truck does not care about quality food. SHAME on you people for trying to back this truck up when you know there serving LEFTOVERS. People need to go to work the next day. NOTCALLINSICKBECAUSETHEYGOTFOODPOISONING. Sincerely, Roast on you because you Deserve it.

The owner is so nice and friendly. I ordered the Garlic Chicken plate. It came with Mac Salad or Green Salad, Garlic Chicken, Rice, AND on top of that the lady gave me an extra scoop of rice with chili. All that for $ 7. You can’t beat that price! Everything is fast and efficient.

Very pedestrian lunchwagon. The garlic chicken I don’t recommend. There were 20x more peas than there was meat for the gisantes.

I went to Ronnie’s Express lunch wagon today, because they were filming Hawaii Five-0 downtown. They closed off Mililani St. so the lunch wagon I was supposed to go to was not there. Anyway, I ordered the garlic butter ahi with mac and meatloaf with mac. The garlic butter ahi was not as garlicky as I would have liked. The mac salad was good. So 3 stars for the garlic butter ahi. The meatloaf was definitely better for me. It was meaty and flavorful, so I would rate it as 4 stars. So overall, I would give this lunch wagon 3.5 stars, but they do not have a half star for me to give in the Ratings system. The price was reasonable for sure, $ 13 for 2 regular plates($ 6.50 each plate). Forgot my phone, so no pic of menu the today, but maybe next time.

Amazing service. She was so nice and we never would expect such huge portions and great value from this incognito all white van. She hooked us up and gave us extra stuff to try. Enough to share for super cheap! Highly recommended

Last night at Eat The Street I had Ronnies’ Prime Rib. Man that was some tasty stuff! The prime rib was soft with a tasty crust. I had a blast eating it with the au jus and horseradish(I burned my nose eating too much too fast!). I will for sure be back to try something else.

HC is a total fan of Ronnie’s Express. He is sure to go to Ronnie’s whenever we see the truck at the Eat the Street events. He’s gone so often that the cashier remembers him. The reason he keeps going back is because of their crabcake sliders. They are super delicious! We’ve tried some of the other sliders, but we both feel that the crabcake one is the best. If you like crabcakes, be sure to give this lunch wagon a try.

I always see Ronnie’s lunch truck parked at the same spot at Kaka’ako park on Taco’ako Tuesday and other weekdays but never bothered to buy from their truck again after trying their Ahi plate(which was ok, but was a little cold and not as fresh tasting) at an Eat the Street event, and also because they always seem to have a line, but after trying their food again, I now understand why they always have a line at their truck. As I passed by to look at their menu, I noticed that they sell Shoyu pork, but there were so many trucks this time, and they had a line too that I opted to try it another time since they’re always at Kaka’ako park. Mochiko Chicken — 4 stars — For $ 6, my friend got a plate full of mochiko chicken with 2 scoops rice and salad. For a really cheap price, the mochiko chicken was fried just right and flavorful. However, I didn’t get a chance to take a picture of how much they gave because my friend started to eat it before sharing it with me. Tell me, who sells plate lunches now days for that cheap? Such a good deal for a good sized plate lunch.

I saw Ronnie’s Express @ 2535 Coyne St behind Burger King and Jiffy Lube on S. Beretania where the old Varsity Theater used to be. The food was great! and the service is exceptional. also they will give a FREEDRINK with your plate lunch order, lots of onolicious local food at a great price!

Overall, 3.5 till I can try more food. Tried Ronnie’s lunch wagon at the food truck rally because they didnt have a line and my uncle spotted shoyu pork which hes never tried before. He bought a plate and shared and man was that shoyu pork delicious! It was really moist and flavorful. I think maybe even better than Ige’s ;). They have your usual local food lunch wagon fare. My uncle asked where they are usually located and they just said«everywhere» okkk that doesnt really help so i guess we’ll just have to catch them next time.
