Great service. All tough Roi may cost more than the other guys, he does a superb job. When it come to the safety of my equipment I think you shouldn’t go cheap. I had a few dings and a paddle slice on one of my board and when I got it back from Ding kingdom I had a hard time finding the spots. These guys do great work and will get you back out surfing.

This place is really good. Absolutely professional repairs! I’ve been taking my cracked and dinged boards to Roi for a while now and I’m always impressed with the craftsmanship. I care a lot about my boards so I always want them to get the best treatment. Fair price for high quality work.

I went out in a swell that was way above my skill level. After nailing the rocks, my board had a baseball-​sized gouge and about five or six less serious, but still through the glass dings. Roi met his timeline, was easy to get hold of, and was more than fair with his pricing. Best of all, he did a fantastic job! The repairs are all perfectly smooth and nearly invisible. He even color-​matched really well. If you put a hole (or numerous holes) in your board and have any doubt about your skill to deal with it yourself, take it to Ding Kingdom!

Parking is a bit of an issue but, the service and price is exceptional. All repair options are clearly given. The price is very reasonable. Definitely recommend this place.

I have had too many boards fixed from the Ding King to remember the exact number. I started going to him before he was at his current location. Roi is the owner and the man to talk to.
The shop is 100% a board shop. You have boards from wall to wall and dust everywhere. That is from the foam so don’t worry. You may get some on your clothes but it’s easy to dust off.
Roi prices your boards when you show him what you need repaired. I have had huge holes fixed, fins re-​glassed and boxes replaced. He has done just about everything for me. Another cool feature Roi can do is color matching. If you have an airbrush or even just a older board, Roi can actually match the color of the board to the ding. That way it’s not noticeable.
All the prices are fair and they have a quick turnaround. I recommend Ding King to anyone that needs a board repaired in Honolulu!

Good fix, fair pricing, and very quick turnaround for my board. I’m too lazy to fix my boards most of the time, so swinging by DK’s is a must for me. They can do a lot of repairs and my experience has been very high quality.

Just picked up my board from Roi and let me tell you he was the nicest, most understanding, and helpful guy ever!
Unfortunately I hit the reef pretty hard on my practically brand new 8’0 Tanaka board from T&C and it left a nice gouge in the bottom right above the fins. I thought about fixing it myself but it was right next to the stringer so the hubby urged me to find a place to get it done. With a lot of input from my marineland crew, we finally all decided I should go to the Ding King.
I bright my board in last Friday, and Roi said it would be $ 40 and one week. Well he called this morning (a day shy of one week) to say it was finished! And let me tell you he did a fantastic job! I am so happy with the results. I’m even considering taking my old beater (20 year old board) there to see if he can create something special for me.
Roi was so personable, friendly, and helpful. I brought my 3 year old son along and we were chatting about his two kids. It’s so nice to deal with a business who cares about it’s customers and isn’t in it just for the money. Roi truly cares about your board and you!
Oh one last thing, Roi runs his own board rental place out of Waikiki. He rents everything from fun boards to even high performance glass boards! I’m going to tell everyone I know to go here and rent from him :)

The guy picked up my board from my Waikiki apartment in the morning and he had the board back all fixed in time for me to catch the waves in the afternoon. (I paid him for the expedited service, so that I didn’t end up renting a board somewhere.) Fortunately, the board was dried out already.

Thanks roi ! My 12 year old is very happy I have his board back that we were sure was destined for the garbage … Yes it takes time which he didn’t want to hear but the board was soaked !

I had the Ding Kingdom turn a thruster into a 5 fin. One of the boxes ended up collapsing from use. I had no idea how it happened and told Roi. Even though damage caused was clearly my fault, Roi still repaired the box and didn’t charge me.
All the work I have had done here has been super quality and the staff has always taken care of me. I highly recommend them!

Roi, now the board is repaired. The comments by the shop that fixed it mentioned that structurally it was a poor repair, minimal layered mat & glass and cracked in the same spot where the original crack was & puddy (filler) ended.

I have brought my «tankers» here for at least 9 years. Roi is great to work with, always up front about the damage and price. ALL my friends bring their boards to Ding King (now Ding Kingdom) and have ALWAYS been pleased with the repairs.

Beware of this BAD– ‘RipYouOff” business. The owner has a «French attitude» he may not be French but sure acts like one. He aint got the island heart for sure. He thinks he’s better than you so you better respect him before you know him kind of attitude. Anyway, he wanted $ 80 for a small rail 1 inch repair and said it would take 6 months because it had water in it. Little did he know that the ding was damaged on land and not in the water. I told him that fact and he said ok. $ 80 and 4 weeks. This bad dude makes assumptions before you say a word! Dont believe him. He is trying to take suckers for their money.

We are procrastinators. It’s been over half a year and my husband did not fix the big ol’ dent in his board. It was a pretty solid, deep cut into the rail and I was all gung ho to help him find a repair place and just forgot about it. Finally decided to fix it. Searched Unilocal and I even posted a question on the forum and people pointed me in the direction of The Ding Kingdom. Thanks! Anyway, I’m always weary about places with inconsistent reviews but decided to chance it. It wasn’t my board anyway. Lol.
Got to this little shop and there was one dude that wanted to redo an entire board and another chick that just came from surfing, moking it out and saying how much she wanted fo’ scrap wit da tourist guy dat dropped in on her and dented her board. Anyway, the guy that helped us was pretty helpful. My husband’s board didn’t need color so it was probably one of the more easier fixes. Told us it would be done in 2 weeks and it was! Nice guy and good service. The repair is pretty good too. Not bad for 70 bucks. I guess it may just depend on what kind of board you have and stuff but we had a good experience there.

Had a 6″ slice all the way through the board from the rail to almost the stringer 18″ from the nose. Glass all tore up and taking on water as well as shatters all around. Roi repaired it magnificently keeping the rocker true and the glass patch almost seamless. Color was no problem since the board is clear with no tint and or coloring yet the patch was well blended. Service was spot on when I pulled up to inquire about the repair, took time out from what he was doing to examine and explain the best method to repair the damage portion. Gave me an estimate which was exact and true to the price as well as the 8 – 10 day ETA. Got my board back today and I’m stoked!!! Good job ROI. 6″ slice right through the board 18′ from nose glass shattered all around the slice with a 3″ glass portion peeling away, total cost to repair $ 80.00.

I had a tourist’s runaway surfboard collide into mine which caused a three inch indentation. I asked around and was recommended by several friends to take it to the «Ding King». It’s a fairly small looking shop from the outside, however the shop goes really far back. The gentlemen who helped me was very friendly and seem to know his stuff. They will remove your fins and leash for you. Parking is very limited on the narrow street of Kamani. The cost to repair the damage and color match the board was $ 80. It takes an average of 3 – 4 days to have the work done, results varies depending on the necessary work.
