Wow. If you want to be discriminated against, then go to this pharmacy. My wife was truly suffering and still is even as I write this email. One star is too many. The pharmacy even got a phone call from the doctor. And, they still would not make an exception and fill the prescription. Yes, it’s a controlled substance cough syrup. And, yes, it was too soon to refill. But, that’s what the doctor prescribed and that is all that my wife can have because of the other medications that she is on. She has the worse cough you could possibly imagine and she wasn’t told that it couldn’t be refilled for a certain amount of time. But, the pharmacy, would rather stick to what ever the rules are and let someone suffer, again, even after the doctor called and pleaded with them. The pharmacist even told me «it was purely a gut call». I will never go back to this pharmacy. NEVER!!! I hope the person who turned me away tonight never has to feel that feeling of trying to get real medicine for a truly sick loved one and be turned away because someone had a «gut feeling» about it. And, to all you people out there who do abuse this stuff, you have no idea how bad you make it for the good folks who really need it!!!

I am in a state of shock! I had visited a different location yesterday, and the cashier took 30 mins checking out my purchase. She looked like she was manually punching in each upc or something and searching for the item, I don’t know what she was doing but it was painfully long. Icing on the cake is when I get back home, I noticed that she has just left the manufacturers coupons on the items and didn’t bother to apply them. Wtf? So I head to this location today. I basically got my head ripped off by mychal, apparently the manager and worst, most nasty person I have ever met. I asked them to refund the coupon amount,(honestly it’s an inconvenience enough to be forced to make 2 trips for something that should have been done the first time.) he told me I needed to go back to the store who screwed up yesterday. He acted like they had no affiliation, like it was a franchise or something. I was caught off guard, surprised at thee lack of respect he was showing me. I told him it would be even MORE inconvenient to be forced to make a THIRD trip to get something done that was supposed to be done the first time. He told me if I want the money from the coupon I had to go back to the original store. Then he ordered me to leave that store, and threatened to call the police. This is uncalled for, unprofessional, and just completely came out of nowhere. I am still shaking because I am so upset… I called corporate to complain but I don’t think they give a f***. So I really demand that horrible man, «MYCHAL» be written up, suspended, or deservingly, fired. How can he treat a customer this way?

Remember those college days when you had unlimited amounts of free time? I remember how I used to think I was sooooo busy, and now that I have three kids I want to slap my early 20s self upside the head. What does this random thought have to do with Walgreens? 20s College Self: I shop here at 1am because me and my friends are bored. It’s open 24⁄7 and located close to UH. 30s Mom Self: I shop here at 1pm to grab a few drugstore items before my three children get out of school and I self destruct. I note that there’s a pharmacy because my children are like little carrier who are constantly getting sick. 20s College Self: I love all the drugstore nail polish and make-up! So many fun things to buy with my new credit card that only charges 22% interest! My life is about me, me, me, me, me and meeeeeeeeee! 30s Mom Self: There’s no way I could bring along my two little girls because they’d attack that make-up and beg me to buy everything. My life completely revolves around my three little ones. So whether you’re a single ready to mingle or a parent balancing to keep it together, this Walgreens probably has what you’re looking for…

Besides Longs/CVS, I shop @ this Walgreens location often. at least twice a week. I usually shop here after 10 pm. I enjoy shopping at this time= no crowds & no problem with parking! I know the parking lot gets crazy during the day! I like this Walgreens, its nice & clean! Store is a nice size This Walgreens took the space of Fun Factory, Duck Lee, & the Market City bathrooms. Once you walk in, On your right: the toiletries the middles section: snacks, alcohol, paper goods, toys & on your far left, is the pharmacy, over counter meds, baby items. Items can be pricey if they are not on sale. Tips: look @ their ads, check the Walgreen coupon booklets, look for orange tags(clearance/in store specials) & buy items that will shoot out Register Rewards. Register Rewards are like cash on your nexts purchase, depending what the offer is. My last visit, there was 2 cart full of clearance items.(they have clearance already!!) this store is still new! LOL. I really enjoy shopping here, usually I know what I need to get, in & out in 15 mins! Cashiers are really friendly, they greet you once you enter & will ask you if you need help with anything while you shop. I’m looking forward to more Walgreen visits! One last thing, they have a small Hello Kitty section in front of the store.

My new home pharmacy! CVS has really sent Longs down the tubes, and I’m happy to say that I’m happy with my «rebound pharmacy.» The corporate website is easy to work with, as are the pharmacy staff when I call, so despite my initial hesitation to make a change(because I was anticipating complications), it really could not have been easier to transfer my prescriptions over from Longs. I’m so glad I made the switch. Now when I call, I’m greeted by cheerful, helpful staff. When I go in to pick up a prescription, I’m not standing in line for 15 minutes, and I’m(again) greeted by friendly, helpful people who don’t treat me like a criminal when I pick up a controlled substance. Oh, and they actually have products in stock, instead of empty shelves with meaningless price labels. .. unlike some stores. I was kind of skeptical about whether this location would work out when I heard that Walgreens was moving into the old Fun Factory spot, but(a) Market City parking really isn’t so bad on my way to work in the morning, and(b) there are designated short-duration(I think 15-minute) parking stalls right in front of the store, so you don’t so much have to compete with restaurant customers. So glad to have Walgreens closer to my neighborhood!

The second newest walgreens that opened up in the past couple months! I’m really digging this one only because it’s close to my house. It’s decent sized smaller then the others. Parking as usual sucks at market city. Friendly staff here, and always great prices! I’ll definitely be a regular here!

Itching for a strawberry slurpee? Walgreens is your spot. Need to print some pics from your phone? Walgreens is your spot. Gotta pick up that prescription? Walgreens is your spot. Your kid hasn’t started that Science project poster board yet? Walgreens is your spot. Hankering for a spam musubi? Walgreens is your spot. A total Essie and OPI fanatic? Walgreens is your spot. What a fantastic anchor tenant for Market City! The store had their soft opening yesterday and it coincided with Market City’s Easter celebration. The official grand opening will be April 26th. It’s open 24 hours and the pharmacy is open M-F 7am-10pm, Sat and Sun 9am-6pm. New, clean, bright store with a convenient location. The staff are helpful and friendly, stopping to talk story with me about their opening. Find it in the old Fun Factory and Duk Lee location. You can enter from either the top parking lot area or there’s also a door you can enter from the bottom lot(but only during certain business hours). Look for the Walgreens sign, go down the hall, up the stairs and will enter directly into the store. Don’t forget, Walgreens is your spot!
