«Ummmmmmmm…what does that say?» That was me… unfortunately staring at computer screens is not good for your eyes or I have perfect vision. But no… far from it, thank you technology and genetics. Fortunately, I have Dr. Yamamoto as my Optometrist. Ever since I was a kid, I went to Dr. Yamamoto, and he has been wonderful. It takes a special person to be able to convince a child to do an eye exam… or even moreso a stubborn teenager. When I was young, Dr. Y helped me get my first pair of glasses, and transitioned me a few years later, when I was deemed responsible, to contact lenses… He helped me select the right things for me, which were different than for other people in my family who see him. He always treats us with respect and remembers that just because vision issues run in our family, doesn’t mean they are all the same. He and his friendly front desk staff and assistants have helped me «see my world» and let me have some personal style while doing it. And now, I’m an «adult» and I have my own insurance, and my own right to choose which doctors I see. There is no way I would ever let someone else test my eyes… why change it up when you already see the best? I totally agree with Florence K. «I would definitely recommend Dr. Yamamoto for those of you looking for an optometrist to get their eyes checked. He is honestly one of the nicest, most personable doctors I have ever encountered» It’s true. Thank you Dr. Yamamoto for helping me get some clarity, without losing comfort in this world.

I’ll admit to you… I have problems. Family problems, Driving problems, Homework problems, Friends and Drama problems, Health problems, and so much more, you’d get tired of reading my list. But, when I have eye problems, I am really hoping I can go to someone to correct it. My eyes were burning and tearing so badly over a couple days that I really needed to get it checked. I knew it got really bad when I had to stop in the middle of the road to close my eyes because I could hardly see. I called my eye doctor to schedule an appointment, but he couldn’t take me in. However, Dr. Yamamoto agreed to check my eyes on the day that I asked for an appointment, and was even considerate enough to fill me in during my lunch break from work. This never happens… especially for new patients. But, Dr. Yamamoto made it happen. I walked into the office right after I got off of my lunch break, and was greeted with smiles from the ladies sitting at the front desk. After filling out a couple of the new patient forms, I was pretty much immediately seated in one of the rooms to get my eyes checked. Dr. checked my eyes, and told me what my problem was, and told me what to do to fix it. He was very nice when he greeted me and started checking my eyes. He also answered my bajillion questions thoroughly until I was satisfied. Trust me, I would get so annoyed with myself listening to me ask those questions and having to answer them. However, Dr. was patient with me. He said he would do a follow up in a couple days to make sure my eyes were okay, so he got me another appointment a couple days earlier… and luckily right at the time my lunch break would be. My second appointment was great as well. I was seated basically right as I walked in, which was great, because I was starving, and I wanted to eat something after my appointment! He checked my eyes once more and they were fine =). Yay! I would definitely recommend Dr. Yamamoto for those of you looking for an optometrist to get their eyes checked. He is honestly one of the nicest, most personable doctors I have ever encountered. And after that, one of my problems were solved. I was happy. Now on to solve one of my other problems…
